CareerEnterprenuers Guide To Dealing With Disappointment- Chris Myers by da3pu0(op): 12:03pm On Nov 14, 2016
Everyone experiences disappointment at one point or another in their lives. Sometimes, it is over something as trivial as a missed business opportunity. Other times, it’s over something more meaningful, like an election.

Watching Hillary Clinton’s concession speech today reminded me of of just how challenging managing feelings of disappointment can be. I can only imagine how she feels; to lose an election after a lifetime of service, hundreds of millions of dollars of investment, and a grueling nomination and campaign must be devastating.

Still, despite the flood of emotion that Secretary Clinton must undoubtedly have been experiencing, she handled the situation with characteristic intelligence, class, and grace. Her example of graciousness in defeat should serve as an example to anyone forced to manage disappointment, especially entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship is a roller coaster ride unlike any other, especially for founders. When you think about a business, there are two kinds of capital: money and emotional investment.

Founders usually have the highest emotional investment of anyone in the organization. After all, the business is their baby—and for

When disappointment comes—and it always does—it’s easy to let it get you down on a number of fronts. However, for the sake of the company, the team, and your sanity, you’ll have to learn how to deal with the situation in a positive manner.

I’m not an expert on many things, but one area where I have plenty of experience is dealing with disappointment. I’d like to share what I’ve learned over the years so that my fellow entrepreneurs are better equipped to deal with the challenges they face in their lives.

Stay st

rong and keep a good poker face

Attitudes are highly contagious, especially inside small organizations. This is true on many fronts, but it’s especially acute when you’re dealing with the leader’s attitude. If a team sees a leader in a depressive mood, it will spread like wildfire. It’s critical for leaders to maintain a good poker face.

I don’t view this practice as a method of hiding the truth, far from it. Instead, it’s a matter of not allowing your fleeting feelings to affect the morale of those around you. It sounds corny, but good leaders don’t have the luxury of whining.

I’ve had plenty of experience dealing with disappointment over the course of my career. One incident in particular stands out in my mind. I had the opportunity to do a transformative deal with a group that I trusted, respected, and admired, and it ultimately fell through thanks to forces outside my control.

It was painful, but I realized that I could not allow my personal disappointment to affect my performance or the morale of my team members. The only way to deal with the disappointment was to recognize it, accept it, and move on to bigger and better things.

Be graceful in defeat

Failure is never fun, and it’s all too easy to let emotions to get the better of you. No matter how sad, frustrated, or angry you may feel at the moment, the ability to demonstrate grace under pressure is one of the most admirable qualities a leader can possess. However, it rarely comes naturally; it must be nurtured over time. When faced with disappointment, always seek to handle the situation with poise, understanding, and respect.

When I receive disappointing news, I strive to make sure that the other parties involved recognize my appreciation for all the work put in along the way. While things don’t always go the way we want, when everyone involved handles the situation with honor, respect, and transparency, the future remains bright with opportunities to work together again.

Handling the disappointment of the moment with grace and dignity goes a long way in cementing ongoing mutual respect.

Keep moving forward, no matter what

Business, like life, football, and politics, is a game of inches. As I’ve noted, most successful businesses are defined by the sum of all of the little decisions and interactions that happen each day, not by grand strategic moves.

This simple truth puts the responsibility on both leaders and teams to make every single moment count. When faced with disappointment you can either crumple up in defeat or keep moving forward. Successful people demonstrate true grit and keep moving inch by inch, moment by moment, even in the face of disappointment and setbacks.

Regardless of how you feel about Hillary Clinton, I can’t think of a

better modern example of a public figure demonstrating grace in the face of defeat and disappointment. Entrepreneurs should take note, and strive to respond to their next disappointment with half as much class.

RomanceRe: I'm I Qualified To Get Married Or Not? by da3pu0(m): 5:36am On Nov 01, 2016
my brother. my candid advice on the matter might be too sided. before anyone can say i want to get married, u must put some things in to consideration.
1 marriage has no age bracket for "MEN".
2. one must be financially stable and emotionally balanced before you can embark on the journey called marriage
3. one must be able to make decision on his or her own though this doesn't stop him of taking advice from people.
4. one must have a partner he or she is courting with for a period of time before taking it to next step
5. one must have stable source(s) of income
so from your post , i saw that you are only been advised to get married and when you see the other way of marriage you will only be blaming those that advised to to go ahead with it forgetting that every home has its own cross to carry. you have to be finally convinced by yourself that its high time to settle down even when you are still schooling cos i see nothing bad in the step IF and only IF you keep those points aforementioned in mind. everyone that drop comment(s) on the matter is right in one way or the other cos most people are talking from experience.

Gives Makarfi-led caretaker committee thumbs-up

Onyebuchi Ezigbo in Abuja

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has yielded to one of the demands by the former national chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, to hold its next national convention in Abuja.

The BoT on Monday directed the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led national caretaker committee to consider Abuja as the venue for the next national convention as part of efforts aimed at resolving the lingering leadership crisis in the party.

While passing a vote of confidence on the National Caretaker Committee, the BoT charged the committee to, as soon as possible, convene a meeting of the National Executive Committee to approve proposals for moving the party forward accordingly.

The embattled former National Chairman of the party had given some conditions for resolving the crisis in the party, one of which is the holding of the national convention in Abuja.

Sheriff also demanded the removal of Governor Wike as head of convention planning committee.

In a communique read by its National Chairman, Senator Walid Jubrin, shortly after its meeting that lasted for about four hours, the BoT directed that a new convention planning committee be immediately constituted by the caretaker committee.

However, Senator Jibrin said that the Planning Committee, BoT should be approved by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) this time around.

The BoT communique reads: : “The next convention should be held in Abuja. To ensure a credible, transparent, free and fair convention, a new Convention Planning Committee should be constituted by the National Caretaker Committee and approved by NEC.”

As part of the plans to to seek alternative funding platform for the convention, Walid said that the BoT has accepted to facilitate the raising of adequate funds for the party
PoliticsJonathan's Government Is Better Than Buhari's Administration- Apc Leader by da3pu0(op): 5:29am On Aug 30, 2016
Hussaini Mairiga, one of the three factional leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state, says the government of former president Goodluck Jonathan is better than their government. In this interview with The Punch, the APC leader describes the president as a failure, adding that it is the tradition of any political party to make its mark from the first year and the second year in power. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Hussaini Mairiga Hussaini Mairiga Read excerpts from the interview below: You were recently quoted to have described President Muhammadu Buhari as a failure. Why did you say that? READ ALSO: ‘I handed Buhari the best government’ – GEJ Yes, because all Nigerians felt that as soon as Buhari came to power, they would feel some relief after the hardship from the immediate-past administration of Goodluck Jonathan. But from all indications, Jonathan’s Government is better than our government. Meanwhile, the prices of all goods and services in Nigeria have gone up, particularly essential commodities. Each time one buys a product from the market and goes back the second day; one will notice that the price has drastically increased. It’s indeed failure to him and us, the APC members and followers of the party. The painful aspect is that we turn a blind eye when our own is doing something wrong. Each time the President goes wrong, it’s better to tell him right away than to wait until he leaves government before cataloguing his misdeeds. Are you trying to score cheap political points with your recent criticisms of the President as some people are wondering why a member of the APC would be publicly criticizing a leader of the party? Yes, those people do not know who Hussaini Mairiga is. I have been with President Buhari since 2002, when he veered into politics and I am still his supporter and follower. I will therefore not close my eyes and overlook his other side because he is the President of the nation. He is a human being like me and was given power by almighty Allah, and by tomorrow, Allah may bring him down. Any person who is an administrator that I follow, I must tell him whenever he goes wrong. Certainly I will not start criticizing him after his tenure in office. I have to tell him the truth and I often call my friends in government on phone for them to advise the President on what Nigerians are actually facing. I also personally call on phone but they often refuse to respond to my numerous calls. The truth is that I was a member of the then All Nigeria Peoples Party (now defunct). Speaking from my experience, I observed that the party executives always hid the truth from Buhari because they wanted to get something from him. But as for me, I am not lobbying for any position from him and therefore, I have to tell him the truth, no matter how bitter it is, to enable him to right his wrongs. Don’t you think criticizing him now is premature since it is a new government that is trying to restructure? What is the big deal about a new government? It’s indeed the tradition of any political party to make its mark from the first year and the second year in power, as the third and fourth years are for politicking and rigorous campaigning. As a result-oriented politician, the first and second years are enough to make headway, while the remaining two years are for politicking. Based on this reality, I have no alternative but to talk to Buhari and tell him the truth. Even if I am victimized for doing so, It is okay as long as I am fighting for the Nigerian masses. I would not mind stepping on toes as long as I am speaking the truth. PoliticsGoodbye To Oil? Nigeria Hits Big Money In Freshly Discovered Mineral Resourse by da3pu0(op): 4:40am On Aug 30, 2016
Solid minerals minister, Kayode Fayemi is yet to speak on the new mineral resource
Premium Times is reporting that Nigeria has hit pay dirt with the discovery of a rare mineral resource in the northern part of the country.
According to reports it published on Monday, August 29, the online medium quoted The Australian, an Australian national news daily as saying that a private mining syndicate headed by a mining industry veteran, Hugh Morgan made the discovery at Dangoma in the north-west state of Kaduna.
“The discovery is unusual because the nickel is found in small balls up to 3mm in diameter of a high purity in shallow soils in what could be the surface expression of a much bigger hard-rock nickel field.
“The nickel balls, rumoured to grade better than 90 per cent nickel and thought to be a world first given their widespread distribution, offer the potential for early cashflow from a simple and low-cost screening operation to fund a full assessment of the find that has exploration circles buzzing,” the newspaper was quoted as reporting.

Premium Times also quoted Morgan as saying that he expects the federal government of Nigeria to make an official announcement but reports that Olayinka Oyebode, chief press secretary of minister of solid minerals development, Kayode Fayemi, said he had no details of the discovery.
Oyebode however confirmed that Fayemi is scheduled to be in Australia next week as one of the speakers at a three-day Africa Down Under mining conference at Perth’s Pan Pacific Hotel, Australia.
“I know there is a mining conference coming up in Australia where the Honourable Minister is supposed to make a presentation.
“But I don’t have an advance knowledge of what he’s going to talk about but, generally speaking, he’s going to market Nigeria,” Oyebode was quoted as saying on Monday, August 29.
RomanceThe Major Reason(s) Why Many Ladies Remain Single For A Very Long Time by da3pu0(op): 8:12pm On Aug 20, 2016
I honestly can't shake the pity off my mind anytime I see how many ladies wallow in frustration simply because they are still single at very marriageable ages and this is why I decide to drop this thought provoking piece.

The major reason many ladies are still single at very ripe age is HIGH EXPECTATION and below is a simple illustration to explain my point.

As a lady please get this straight; Good potential husbands are everywhere but your spec may not be readily available. An average Nigerian lady wants a cute, rich, caring guy and no matter how hard they try to shrug this off, they keep using this as a yardstick to be with a man but unfortunately 2 out of 10 guys are the specs of 8 out of every 10 ladies so these 8 ladies clamor to be with these 2 men but unfortunately these 2 guys can't marry more than a wife each.

My advice to many ladies is to understand that it is perfectly normal to seek for a "financially ok" guy to marry but no matter how hot you may be, it is easier to get a man to marry you when he is struggling than when he is made. Comfort, wealth and good life is not usually instantaneous but progressive.

Don't be fooled, many expensive wedding ceremony you see are sponsored by the bride or groom's family. As a lady, try your best to get something doing and lets just assume you meet a guy that makes as little as 40k a month and you also make like 40k a month, please start a life together and continue to build your lives together. You can always do an elaborate intro and engagement party and proceed to the registry and when you have money you can do a very big wedding ceremony.

This thread is not for the few ladies who are fortunate to find a rich dude but for countless number of Nigerian ladies who are on the other side of the divide.

Our ladies should Stop indulging in ultimate search contest with many other ladies for a rich guy and Until our ladies learn to look in the right direction, be financially independent, lower their expectation and be ready to build a life with a man without the negative preemptive mindset of what will happen after he becomes rich,i guess there will forever be an increase in aver-aged unmarried ladies.

Just trying to make sense.
PoliticsTinubu, Pdp And The Road To 2019 By Dele Momodu (punch) by da3pu0(op): 6:45pm On Aug 20, 2016
Fellow Nigerians, you must be wondering what this title is all about. Please, calm down, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, one of Nigeria’s iconic politicians, is not about to dump his party, APC, for PDP, the party he fought hard with others to sack from power just last year.

The reason for bringing PDP into this article which largely concerns the Tinubu conundrum is very simple and straight-forward. PDP has suffered calamities upon catastrophes since General Muhammadu Buhari sacked President Goodluck Jonathan from office. It is hard to imagine, or believe, that a party that held Nigeria by the jugular for 16 solid years could attain meltdown so soon and almost disappear into oblivion.

One would have expected PDP, despite its electoral misfortune, to provide a formidable opposition to APC and keep President Buhari on his toes but that has not been the case. APC has wasted no time in sending PDP to an early grave by throwing poisonous darts at it from every angle.

The war against corruption has been a most veritable weapon with stupendous impact used by APC to scatter most of the PDP apparatchik to the winds. The strategy was to weaken them by showcasing the humongous corruption that was perpetrated and perpetuated during their reign. The PDP brand was thus obliterated in a jiffy. Many of their bigwigs confessed to nefarious and horrendous crimes of looting and brigandage. They coughed up or vomited incredible sums of cash.

All entreaties and shouts of a vengeful witch-hunt against President Buhari fell on deaf ears. The more they screamed the more they were horse-whipped into submission and made to weep bitterly.

As if that was not bad enough, PDP engaged itself in a war of attrition and became a house divided against itself. It was only a matter of time before it crumbled like the proverbial cookie does. Today, PDP has become its own worst enemy with the brickbats being thrown at one another by members of what used to be touted as the biggest political party in Africa. How are the mighty fallen!

The aim of my piece this week is to attempt what I did in 2014 when I wrote a permutative article titled ‘In Search of Mathematicians’. That was how I predicted a win for Buhari when many pundits still doubted such possibility. I intend to do so again in this column by painting a picture of what to expect in 2019. If you think that year is still far away, perish the thought.

The battle for the next Nigerian Presidential election started as soon as the last one was lost and won. The hurly-burly of the elections had not yet settled down when the potential gladiators picked up their gauntlets in readiness for the next combat.

The ruling party APC has suffered its own casualties as a result of its self-immolating wars of anticipation. What do I mean? The new men of power are already thinking ahead and wondering who may be too ambitious within their own fold. Any of such recalcitrant and ambitious rebels must be cut down to size, no matter his or her contribution to past victory and glory. Without mincing words, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, is the first victim and he has suffered massive collateral damage on account of suspicion. APC itself has suffered almost fatally in the process. The only thing holding it together for now is the fact that it is the party in power and thus presumably has limitless opportunities to distribute largesse to the army of party operatives and their cronies.

By this time next year, as this government enters its third year in power, reality would begin to set in and President Buhari will begin to discover and see original animals in human skin.
I foresee and predict a re-alignment of political forces from 2017. President Buhari will be encouraged and persuaded to run a second term by those who are currently profiting from his government. It is only normal and it is their legitimate right. Nothing stops the President from seeking a re-election within our Constitution. The only snag is that many politicians are going to gang up against him because they see him as an outsider in politics who has benefitted from their massive support but in return has been messing things up for them.

If the President remains stoically stubborn and refuses to play ball with politicians, he would have to fight dirty to win his ticket. It seems to me that he would have to do everything to retain the loyalty of one man by all means, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is almost impossible for any candidate to become President of Nigeria without the overwhelming support of the Yoruba and their current generalissimo, Tinubu, in particular.

Tinubu derives his stranglehold on power from his iron grip on Lagos. Lagos is a microcosm of Nigeria. Whoever controls Lagos owns the commercial nerve-centre of Nigeria, just like the California of America. Tinubu has been very lucky in that his anointed candidates, Babatunde Raji Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode, have been very cerebrally successful. The current Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, is already set, after just one year in office, to surpass all expectations.

According to impeccable sources, Buhari may therefore be forced to risk and pick Tinubu as his running-mate if push comes to shove. Tinubu’s protégé, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, is the current Vice President, who comes with intimidating credentials but may not have enough political muscle to deliver enough votes to the kitty. The dilemma for Buhari is whether he should buck the trend set by his predecessors, starting from Shehu Shagari, and jettison his Vice President, especially when a cordial and mutually respectful relationship exists between them. In addition, Osinbajo has been doing exceedingly well and he is seen as one of the few shining lights of this Administration.

There is also the fact that Prof Osinbajo is a highly regarded and esteemed senior Christian figure and the President has needed him to silence those detractors that consider him an Islamic fundamentalist.

However, I believe that the controversy that could ensue from a potentially volatile Muslim/Muslim ticket may have been fixed substantially. Firstly, there is a precedent set by Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola the acclaimed winner of the 1993 elections who picked a fellow Muslim, Alhaji Baba Gana Kingibe, as his running-mate and still won in Nigeria’s freest and fairest election to date. Secondly, though Tinubu is a devout Muslim, his beloved wife is a hard-core Christian and a top-notch member of the same Redeemed Christian Church of God as the Vice President. Thirdly, there is the fact that Tinubu supported a Christian, Akinwunmi Ambode, as his anointed candidate for Governor of Lagos State, a deft move calculated to pacify those who may wish to foment religious crisis and conflagration then and in the future.

Tinubu is believed by many to have served Nigeria meritoriously and selflessly by suppressing his own personal ambition for that of others and it is believed that the kingmaker deserves a chunky reward the next time around if he so desires. He is acknowledged as being one of the most knowledgeable leaders in Nigeria today and a lot of people feel that his background in business and politics could bail Nigeria out of the economic quagmire of the moment. He is known to be a practical politician who knows how to make the world better for most people.

If the hawks succeed in getting Buhari to snub Tinubu because of his perceived threat to the President himself, the APC may split like PDP did before the collapse of the Jonathan Presidency.

One potential candidate is hovering in the wings and that is the Turaki of Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who has never hidden the fact that he wants the Presidency by all means. My next permutation is that the former Vice President and Tinubu who are two of the three most powerful and influential politicians in APC today (the third is Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki with his firm control of the Senate) may combine forces to thwart a Buhari re-election bid. They have been old allies since the time of Major General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua. If they join forces, it may therefore spell doom for those seeking the re-election of President Buhari.

After the seeming lull in the Buhari-Tinubu love, it seems the recent appointments given to some of Tinubu’s acolytes appear designed to assuage his feeling. But would this be sufficient to bury the combustive ambition of a man who believes he still has so much to give to his country?
The third option which also involves Tinubu in the mix is one on which for a variety of reasons Buhari chooses not to run again. Without doubt, there are several other forces contending for power in case Buhari decides not to seek re-election. In this category, Tinubu’s name still features prominently. No one can deny the ability of Tinubu to transform Nigeria the way he did in Lagos. It is presumed that Buhari may generously want to pay Tinubu back for the support he gave him. He may also want to leave a lasting legacy and shed the toga of an ethnic jingoist by handing over to a Southerner. If this happens, I foresee the visionary Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, a core Buhari loyalist, becoming Tinubu’s running-mate, notwithstanding that this is another Muslim/Muslim ticket. Many APC loyalists believe this combination may fly.

There is a fourth option and this is coming from the direction of PDP. The theory here is that PDP can still spring a surprise on Buhari and pay him back in his own coin. The PDP apologists believe the North has lost more under Buhari despite allocating many political appointments to the region. They are of the opinion that former President Jonathan did more for them and gave them access and respect than their own man Buhari who they accuse of being standoffish. This is the reason that many Northerners, apart from his kinsmen in the South South, have become the biggest promoter of PDP.

In case you think Jonathan is dead and buried politically, perish the thought! He still holds the biggest ace in PDP. In fact, many in PDP today see him as their best candidate in 2019 because some of his transformation agenda are beginning to come to fruition. They are hoping and banking on Buhari becoming so unpopular that Jonathan would be sorely missed by Nigerians who would practically beg him to come back.

The rising profile and the promotion of Jonathan in the international community is part of that systematic way of re-polishing, repackaging, redefining and preparing him for a return to power. Every attempt to smear him with a tar brush would be rebuffed by his die-hard loyalists who see Buhari as someone trying to kill any future role for Jonathan as Nigerian President. They are totally committed to ensuring that Jonathan is well protected between now and next year when serious politicking would have reached a crescendo again. The hope is that as a former civilian President, he can bounce back to power like President Mathieu Kerekou did in Benin Republic, when he returned in 1996 after quitting in 1991.

Good evening guys. hope work went well today. anyway i just sat down this morning began to think on how bad the situation of this country is and i came up with so many questions which i couldnt answer alone and i believe i need people's view on it. i personally didnt have any interest in jonathan simply cos his manifestos and campaign didnt make any sense to me even in 2011. so i decided note to vote for him and i gave my vote for mallam nuhu ribadu being a young intelligent man cos i have it at the back of my mind never to cast my vote for a former president. in 2015 i decided not to vote at all cos i dont like the way nigeria is being run under GEJ and i still cant vote for PMB. after PMB won the election, diff prophecies from diff people that nigeria will be okay under this Govt. now my question are these:
even if a barrel of oil increases from $50somtin to $100
(1) can we buy a #20 sachet of pure water @ #3 compare to GEJ era which was sold for #5
(2) can we buy a #25 cup of garri @ #6 compare to GEJ era wchich was sold for #10
(3) can we buy a #145 litre of PMS @ 40 compare to GEJ era wchich was sold for #87
(4) can we buy a #14500 bag of rice @5000 compare to GEJ era which was sold for #9k
(5) can we buy a #60 gino tomato paste @ #25 compare to GEJ era wchich was sold for #40
(6) can we board a #20 cab in ibadan again like we use to during GEJ era.
i can go on and on like that buh to save time.
and the big time question is CAN NIGERIA GET BACK TO HER BETTER DAYS

Didi Ukpo is one of Buhari’s supporters who has gathered social media influence over the years. In her own capacity, she championed the course of exit of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan of the People’s Democratic Party back to his hometown, Bayelsa.
She was also seen praising Buhari for the stable electricity in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja but a recent visit to Lagos state forced Didi Ukpo to call her longterm political idol a COW.
This paints a picture of how Buhari has lost immense support he enjoyed when he newly emerged in May, 2015 owing to the national blackout and scathing problems of fuel scarcity including inflation.

This Is How To Know If Your Partner Had S£x With Someone Else While You Were are not around

Capture
1. Smell its odor: Normally it should have the filthy offensive odor of not having been washed If you smell s’emen or se’xual liquids odor or the pleasant odor of bathing products then it’s up to you [to decide why]… While I’m at it, the normal offensive odor should be primarily from the offensive odor of urine, slightly salty. S’emen and se’xual liquids odor are slightly fishy odor. Normally when you have the chance, smell [his pe nis] more, lick more, and slowly you will be more familiar with it.
2. Let it [the eja culate] out and look at the color, white means he has eja culated within the past 3 days, yellow means he hasn’t. (Some people say the color will change after time too, you can check yourself.)
3. C0ndom: Check if there is any condom or soap odor.
4. Question: There are tests and there are countermeasures. If you drink more liquids after doing the deed and urinate a few times, won’t you then have the stench of urine again? Answer: There is a difference between fresh urine stench and the urine stench from a day without bathing…the key still lies with experience. Normally, one must carefully observe and learn from experience.
5. Feel the balls . If they have elasticity, then he hasn’t eja culated, but if they are soft and limp, then he has eja culated [recently]. This someone else taught me.

(1) call and ask her what is unpleasant with her abt u. (2) correct it if its controllable buh i wana suggest that most women likes fore play before sex, dont run into sex with her, let there be a nice romantic play starting from your dinning to the sitting room then to the bed room where you will give it to her big time. if u dont know she would love sex more than u buh i bilieve u havent got the right way to communicate sex in to her hearing. PoliticsTell Buhari To Release Me From Prison, Nnamdi Kanu Begs Uk Govt by da3pu0(op): 3:04pm On Mar 31, 2016
The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has urged the British Government ‎to intervene in his case by asking President Muhammadu Buhari to release him from prison. Kanu who is facing treason charge alongside ‎two other pro-Biafra agitators, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi, approached the British government through his lawyer, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor.

Kanu, in a letter dated March 24 and addressed to the British High Commissioner in Abuja, described himself as a victim of travesty of justice and gross human rights violation. He insisted that the President Buhari-led administration ‎has violently abused his fundamental human rights through his prolonged detention in prison custody.
Nairaland GeneralBovas Still Sells At 87 Naira Per Litre by da3pu0(op): 7:20am On Mar 31, 2016

Does anyone know who the owner of BOVAS fuel station is?

I've seen several BOVAS station in Ibadan, but I understand there are branches in other states. Now in the midst of the mess about the current fuel
crisis, some fuel stations are selling from 120 Naira to as much as 250 Naira in some places, when the price on their own machine clearly indicates 87 Naira.

This BOVAS have stood firm and held steady all
along , selling at 87 Naira. They also don't sell in kegs or jerrycans. It may appear minor to some, but I think it is a significant sign that, even in the midst of the chaos and the carnage, things can be done right in Nigeria.

BOVAS is a sound rebuke to all who seek to make excuses for those who choose to swim along with the tides, refusing to do what is proper and right.

Share and encourage others to do so in appreciation of the owner(s)

Who even smuggled Nnamdi Kanu into the title of this thread when nothing regarding him was mentioned in the OP? It just exposed the leaning and motive of the mischievous poster. Smh.

PoliticsIbb Exposed Buhari To Kill Namdi Kanu by da3pu0(op): 12:17am On Mar 29, 2016
n the wake of threats by former military Head of State and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, general Muhammadu Buhari to jail all corrupt government officials if elected into office, a statement made by former military President, Ibrahim Babangida in 2013 to the effect that he will expose the corrupt practices of General Buhari has resurfaced.

Babangida, who at the time spoke via a statement signed by him and issued by his media aide Kashim Afegbua was reacting to claims by General Buhari that President Goodluck Jonathan had killed the petroleum sector of the economy, threatening to expose information of General Buhari’s misconducts during his time as both Petroleum Minister and Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Funds (PTF), offices the APC Presidential candidate held before he usurped power from then President Shehu Shagari via a bloodless coup in 1983.

Using the popular adage that “those who live in glass houses do not throw stones,” Babangida said General Buhari should mind his utterances or else he will expose information of his (Buhari’s) financial misappropriation which he is/was privy to, advising General Buhari to quit his sanctimonious demeanor. Parts of the statement read: “He is a one-time Minister of Petroleum and we have good records of his tenure as minister. “Secondly, he also presided over the Petroleum Trust Fund ( PTF) which records we also have. “We challenge him to come out with clean hands in those two portfolios he headed. Or, we will help him to expose his records of performance during those periods,”

While stating that it was not in his character to exchange words with a former colleague, but for record purposes: “we are conversant with Gen. Buhari’s so-called holier-than-thou attitude.” He also advised President Jonathan to graciously receive criticisms and if he was bmaling past leaders for Nigeria’s woes, he (Babangida) should not be fingered. The statement continued: “On President Jonathan, there is nothing wrong in criticism if it is constructive and in the interest of the country. Gen. Babangida is one unique former President who does not criticise a sitting President as a matter of courtesy. “If President Jonathan is blaming past leaders, he should look elsewhere, certainly not IBB.
