I still have my 3 Windows phone though; Nokia Lumia 1520, Microsoft Lumia 650 & the last flagship Microsoft Lumia 950XL. All great devices.

So sad, we move on and continue to survive with Microsoft launcher on Android.

I am coming from Windows phone. A very loyal windows phone user. Microsoft abandoned us, and advised us to either go Android or IOS earlier this year, since windows phone would be put to rest come December 2019. I have never fancied IOS , so I decided to go with Android.

I just saw yesterday that the item is on its way to Lagos after 102 days. I'm sure the seller would be amazed when I tell him the item arrived

Yeah I also go the order completed stuff (Though its only on Mobile). Desktop still shows on transit. Plus buyer protection still running . I will wait out the remaining 15 days to total it 75 days, before opening dispute and asking for refund.

I am already making plans to get the item (Phone) locally, probably not the same one, but something i can use , if it finally arrives much after, then fine.

I have been a Widows phone user for years, but as with the end of windows phone, am trying to switch to other makes reluctantly. I have used Infinix hot S that i received as a gift back in 2016, In fact i still use it for my social media interactions (I don't receive calls with it). I need to change it , cause its slow and has limited space (16gb) + it runs Android 7 etc.

Now i still use my windows phones to make & receive calls only. I am currently looking for a phone to replace these phones , one that would do both calls and social media etc. I have been observing these Chinese brands e.g Xaomi & co , they don't seem to be popular like the samsungs and iphones , but it seems they give high specs @ lower price.

I'am considering Xaomi currently looking at Redmi Note 8 Pro/Mi 9/Mi 9SE/Mi Note 10. Please what can you guys tell me about the Xaomi brand (Usability, Convenience, Battery drain, Heat, OS Update, Durability, Camera Quality, maintenance , resell value) etc. For example the Mi Note 10 comes with a "108MP rear camera", while the Redmi Note 8 Pro boasts of a "64 MP" quad camera setup please how good are these photos ?? whats your experience with older models of Xaomi ? are these just bogus claims ? are the cameras as fantastic as their Mega Pixel numbers?

Guys my brother called me now, he was at the local post office today to recieve his item (2 watches) they said the item he was expecting has already been picked by him but he didn't pick it up. What can he do. This is his first time of buying from AliExpress.

I think this is between him and the post office. He can request to see an identification of the supposed receiver of the item. Usually you don't get to pick up items without signing off with an identification. It should be simple to see where the problem lies.

The post office should provide details of the recipient, they should have it on record.

are you able to tracked your order? bec I think no seller will ship a phone without using registered mail. if the phone is sent through non registered mail, you can't be sure if it was sent or not.

I am able to track it (Aliexpress Standard shipping). The Last update was on the 20th of September (Departed county of origin) Singapore post

I think the problem is from most sellers on aliexpress. Im a shopper on aliexpress with over 3 yrs experience. what I observed is this , some sellers on the platform are crook, fraudster, when you order for an item, they generate fake tracking with the intent of defrauding you using aliexpress. so they think you don't know how the system work. Thinking once you waited for some months you will forget the order. So when buying on aliexpress only buy from sellers with large no of orders with many reviews by previous buyers. Else you will have to wait for 2 months b4 you open dispute and your money refunded. Though some post office officials are crook but not in all cases will your order be stollen.

Also some orders shipped through China post will take months b4 you received. I've bought an item through aliexpress shipped thru China post (free shipping), and after waiting for 60days received nothing, opened dispute and my money refunded only to be called by the post office after 4 months that I've a package. I've experienced this twice. In august, I order for 5 items on aliexpress, 2 arrived in less than 3wks the remaining yet to arrive uptill now, shipping is through aliexpress standard shipping and China registered post. though my money has been refunded. All ordered item are not phone they are electronic components which I know are not useful for any post office officials. three wks ago I ordered for 4g WiFi and received it within just 9 days(Singapore post) .

in summary the problem is always from the sellers and shipping method used.

I have just about 1 year experience shopping with aliexpress. My items have arrived the post office max 3 weeks & a few days. This is the first phone i have ordered from aliexpress & the first item ordered that departed the country of origin (Singapore) more that a month ago, that is yet to arrive my local post office. I always use alliexpress standard shipping too. The seller of this phone is a a brand store with more that enough reviews, so am striking out the part of them being fraudulent.

On Wednesday the 13th, the 60 days buyer protection would be due. I intend to extend it for an additional 2 weeks, to see what happens. Hopefully it arrives within that extension period. I really need this particular phone & my options are limited.

No one is blocking delivery of phones. My colleagues got their phones 2 weeks ago and 1 is expecting another this week. Registered items are delayed.
