The Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has suspended its nationwide strike with immediate effect, the News Agency of Nigeria is reporting. The oil workers union suspended the strike at the end of its National Executive Council Meeting, which was called to review offers made by government during days of negotiations. The union had earlier met with the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige. Details of the agreements reached by the parties are sketchy at this time. The unions had on July 7 declared a strike over “unresolved issues” affecting the smooth operation of the oil and gas industry. The acting general secretary of PENGASSAN, Lumumba Okugbawa, had told PREMIUM TIMES on Tuesday that some of the association’s demands bordered on issues that could strengthen the oil and gas industry and the country’s economy. They include backlog of cash call arrears dating back to 2014, which he said had greatly hampered the ability of the joint venture partners with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to discharge their obligations both to the industry and their workers. Other issues include the poor state of the country’s refineries and the massive waste of resources on turn around maintenance (TAM); continued importation of petroleum products; on-going industry reforms and NNPC restructuring as well as the politicisation of the passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB). http://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/206827-pengassan-suspends-nationwide-strike.html |

Seems like the Military and Buhari are finally waking up This is what i have always wanted , 2 weeks siege , every flat head youth , every sympathizer , old or young , man or woman should the arrested and detained . Make them sing like canary and name those Avengers , once that's done , proceed to arrest all of those accused of being avengers , Some goats among them will try to resist , round them up and tactically take them out while not releasing those canaries in holding, I am talking full invasion , full gear , full preparation , and 3rd week roll out armored tanks , destroy all those illegal refineries , take over the whole place, Bring in foreign experts and engineers, fix the pipelines and keep fierce looking military men on patrol |

I am hoping the defenders of the avengers will come here and tell us how those suspects were innocent boys coming from club or beer parlor and were arrested by security forces |
Maybe , as a matter of fact , i think not One way or another , 88% Ibo have to hustle from / through or in Lagos or other Yoruba cities to make it in life, This fact is well established Those saying manufacturing , businesses , whatever in Lagos belongs to Ibo , While you might be right , You should know that Lagos out of respect may have chosen not to compete with these manufacturing / businesses , if Ibos were to be evicted today , those companies wouldn't be vacant finally , If there isn't something special, some sort of blessing and stability , economic growth and security in Lagos, I bet Nna boys wont cross 7 seas to come and establish anything in our beloved brown roof republic So , With all of these said , i am quite certain Ibo can not survive without lagos and just as a reminder , several companies , establishments are also owned by Yoruba in better places like Abuja , |
