A friend of mine got scammed of a huge amount of money(i cant put the price here) by someone who sells cars .So how do we go about it because the police has really eaten us deep and done nothing about it.=========== Tips on how to retrieve your money after being scammed. Social media users & shoppers have been scammed at one point or the other, and it's quite painful. Today, I'm sharing with you things to do when you realize a page you paid for a service or goods is ghosting you: 1. Screenshot all previous chats across all messaging apps (IG, WhatsApp, FB). 2. Write out the full name & bank details of the page/person. 3. Go to the last notification your bank sent you after you made the payment via mobile app or SMS & copy out the "TRANSACTION ID NUMBER". 4. Go to any branch of the scammer's bank & ask to see the desk or staff in charge of FRAUD. If you can, print out all your conversation with the scammer & take it with you. 5. While you are there, send an email to SCAMMER'S BANK & copy CBN FRAUD DESK (anticorruptionunit@cbn.gov.ng). This will push the bank to treat it faster. What should you expect from this? The culprit/suspects' account will be PLACED ON HOLD. Meaning he/she cannot transfer or withdraw until they visit the bank, & when they do, the bank will contact the police & the suspect, when proven guilty, will sign a waiver allowing the bank to refund your money. #CBN #scam #fraud #banks #money #app #culprit #refund #Nigeria |

https://www.pulse.ng/news/local/senate-to-ban-generators-in-nigeria/l4fb3sx The bill has been read for the first time at the Senate. A bill seeking ban on the use of generators in Nigeria, has been read for the first time on the Senate floor. [Punch] The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, introduced a bill to ban the use of generators in the country. The bill which was sponsored by Senator Bima Muhammadu Emagi (APC Niger South), passed its first reading on the floor of the red chamber. If eventually signed into law, the bill dubbed 'Generating Set (Prohibition/Ban) Bill', will prohibit the usage of generating sets in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Unarguably, the power situation in Nigeria is erratic. Inadequate power supply has been a major challenge for millions of Nigerians for decades. I've lived with my landlord and his family right in the same compound for 2 years now. 2020 is the third year. In fact, it's been from glory to glory. From promotion to my next rank to getting married, to having my baby. It's been effortless, all thanks to GOD. He too had his 2nd baby while in that compound. In fact, it's a newly built compound. 10 flats in all. 2-storey building. The occupant of each flat is the first. There have been 6 new child births in the compound since I moved in. 6 different families including the landlord's and mine. Young igbo man, catholic, from Enugu state (NCAN get in here!), textile trader in idumota and we the tenants are a mix of igbo, yoruba, delta and edo all cohabiting well. No issues so far. Any problem that develops (maybe electricity, plumbing, anything) he will want you to tell him so he can get appropriate service providers himself and get it fixed at his cost. Very good man, my landlord. And in Lagos, there are just 6 of them left. FYI, I live in Ago Palace Way Okota Lagos. |

miqos02:This, to me, has to be the most ignorant comment ever! You were made aware of his achievement while in governance. You (and every other Nigerian like you and I) had every right to know it since he was serving the public, but since he left the government, he is not at any liberty to disclose anything to you. It's his prerogative. ![]() |
