I would advise you to refuse to listen to your family to have yourself uprooted and moved over to them with no concrete plan on how you and the kids will be taken care of. They'll abandon you guys when the going gets tough, so, you better get smart and not fall for their in-laws "ego-trips/muscle-flexing". You can be out of the failing marriage and still keep your budding school investment going. Do not break a sweat over the accusations and name-callings. Just ignore and keep your head up. Let's even assume that your presence was what triggered his second wife's ill-health, isn't that enough to make him understand that your 'chi' is fighting your battles? This should have prompted a smart man to come seeking your forgiveness but no, calling you a witch seems to be more convenient. Look, I'm more concerned about those 4 kids in this mix.
