My Dear with the recent discussions on Vit B6, I decided to ask my Dr yester night to interpret my prescription for me again. once he responds, I'll share here. But meanwhile, I've decided to post my prescription sheet for any medical personnel in the house to help us interpret, hopefully the ban hammer doesn't land on me for this. On the drug itself, what I have is 50mg 2tablets, 2x daily. This means 200mg per day, the recommended highest safe level which one shouldn't exceed. But bear in mind that I have PCOS, will be on Ovulation induction drugs and the Vit B6 is being used as a Progesterone Support and not just to lengthen my luteal phase.

My conclusion is that Vit B6 is used in different doses for different things. 50mg - 60mg daily have been known to work very well in lengthening Luteal Phase especially for women who have a luteal phase defect whereas a higher dose could be used for progesterone support instead using Progesterone drugs itself like the Progesterone Injections, Suppositories etc mostly used during Artificial Reproduction Techniques like IUI, IVF and also for progesterone supplementation in early pregnancy and first trimester for pregnant women who have low progesterone. Vit B6 is safe all through the cycle and is also known to help improve Cervical Mucus Production and quality which I think might have also been another reason I got it to help counteract the Clomid effect. Vit B6 is als a stress reliever and helps with PMS.

I saw your post & smiled cause you're not alone. I suffered painful menstruation for years with heavy flow to an extent that back in the days my late father would give me analgin injection twice daily for relief cos no tablet would work on me. when he passed on, I had to find my own way of surviving menses. I came across Felvin & diclofenac, they worked but they are also blood thinners so they made me bleed even more. I also tried diclofenac suppository used it for a few years cos it gave a longer lasting relief until I read an article that said its bad for women ttc. Just as Sugah advised Panadol is best cos its gentle on the body & effective but the local ones won't do anything for you. Try Panadol ActiFast tablets made by GlaxoSmithKline U.K, that was what I took & had relief & its generally safer. In addition to sweet drinks avoid cold drinks too like for a week b4 menstruation. Also try water therapy: Take at least 50cl or 75cl of room temperature water 1st thing in the morning b4 brushing teeth & wait for abt 45min b4 eating anything. For natural ways to deal with pain drink ginger & turmeric, boil ginger root in water when done pour into your cup & add tumeric powder. Turmeric works good for pains.

if paracetamol doesn't work, you can do the garlic and ginger therapy.
Simply grind a reasonable size of ginger and few cloves of garlic in warm water,sieve and drink like tea,trust me it works.One mama here recommended it as a substitute for felvin and all anti-inflammatory drugs for menstrual pain sometime ago,I doubted it was going to work for me cos the pain I feel during AF is out of this world,surprisingly it worked.So give it a try dear.

My Dear. I don't know of such a product personally. When I still had Fibroids, I took several things, did several things, came on the thread and asked and got nothing. Eventually I made up my mind and went for surgery in January.

Nevertheless, there's now a trending purported Fibroids cure on the thread which is an RCCG Midwife in Akure who is give herbals at N35,000 first protocol that is said to eliminate Fibroids. A Mama here said it worked for her friend. Some other Mamas here have said they'll try her out but none has gotten round to trying her or perhaps they've tried her out but yet to give update on the thread. When I eat, the worst... I will just lie down.
That's how I woke up o, and peeed in a bowl, and tested.
Nothing, I gave up, somehow I looked again and saw another line.
Hubby was already coming to the toilet o.
I showed him as it was just getting darker and he said a line is forming.
I got another stick, same o.
I was confused
I said but am waiting for this period so I can start cd 1 and take ovulation induction drugs, what happened? When?
I went to work looking fly.
Left work quite early with dh in tow, did blood pt and confirmed o
Haaaaaaaaaaaa.

I exhausted all my test strips same o.
On 3-3-2016 was when I saw d two red lines o
I have had no symptoms and just occasional fatigue
My mum prayed for me same day and said, u will carry my leg in pregnancy and delivery and I said a big amen.

I was only takeing vitex religiously cos I wanted to regulate my cycle.
I know I ovulated too late, maybe cd 30 or soon. Cos I did scan and no dominant follicle even on cd18.
I had already bought castrol oil, hot water bottle et Al to start using to shrink d fibriods o.
I wanted to induce af o, had a list of what to buy, was planning nit to tell my dh.
But we are like twins. We do every got damn tin together
I couldn't hide shit from him.
As in, there's no way he won't find out
That's how he vehemently refused inducing af saying we can wait 100 days...that every thing would take its natural cause.

I was having a discussion with @ Sugah and we both were convinced that I should be on Metformin & should just go buy it and start at the lowest dose. So to cut the long story short, I've got on the Metformin now since am done with post surgery drug and feel like I should get on with things again.

Note that in 'advanced countries', Metformin is a prescription drug and not available over the counter. It's just fortunate or unfortunate that it's over the counter here in Nigeria but that still doesn't mean that we should self medicate on it.
Hummmm, thnks so much madam, since AF refuses to come and i have read many testimonies on it, let me start d dosage tommorrow with faith.

Sorry you're going through this. If you're Overweight then you definitely need to lose weight, losing as little as 2-5kg can make a big difference. Being Overweight has various health risks and is also associated with infertility. Take Care and Take Charge of your Health. Weight loss can be hard but very doable. And Yes YOU CAN DO IT.

Please don't self medicate especially if you're Pregnant or a BP patient. Talk to your Dr. You need to find out what the root cause is and treat it and not just the symptom. In any case, drinking lots of water throughout the day will help flush your system and ease off water retention. Also reduce your salt intake throughout the day. Take care.

I did blood PT today but was negative, pelvic scan said left cyst measuring 32.5mm*45mm.
NB- my Doctor gave me some drugs for some months then but i was surprised to read that there is still a cyst. Kindly advise me with your prayers

I will advise you to wait more before going to take any drug, it might be that you are pregnant, av heard of many pple that didn't test positive until 3month. So dear ma'am wait more and go to do blood pt before taken any action

Well, if that's your only problem there is a med your Gyna can give u that will make u have a period. I think u should see a Gyna since u had period and it suddenly stopped and it could be cause of Pcos not your portion though.
