Pastor Ituah Ighodalo: Elders in the RCCG asked me to remarry after my wife left me and went on to remarry and have kids !.

“In fact, they came to me and said, ‘your wife has left. You pastor a big church. How are you going to cope? You need a wife. The leaders of the church approached me. I didn’t go to them. People don’t know this.

“I had nobody in mind to marry. When they came. They said, ‘you are doing well. Your church is growing. Your wife has left. She refuses to come back. She has even remarried someone. She has children’.

“They said I couldn’t continue like this. I said, ‘but I thought the policy is that it’s not possible.’ They said, in this circumstance, we need to find what to do. I did what they asked of me and got their approval.”

The trustees of the RCCG were however angered by it because it was against their doctrine. He therefore had to leave RCCG with his wife in 2009.

Important questions to ask
- Were the elders in RCCG who advised him moved by flesh or by the Spirit of God? Were they scared the passion burning in him as a young,rich and handsome Pastor could make him vulnerable to sin? If you were his biological or spiritual parents, would u do the same?

- Are there modern day complexities in marrriage that were non existent in Bible days hence not adequately covered? If yes, how do we bridge this gap without altering His Word?

Rev Kesiena Esiri: “ I was s€xually abused at 8 by a male senior in Secondary School. He did terrible things to me. I was damaged early and went to church seeking help and all they kept preaching was prosperity and money. The scars from the experience caused frequent fights in the early stages of my marriage. Food for thought
- I salute Rev Kesiena for having the courage to share his story. He poured it out during a recent conference for young people. I was almost shedding tears as I listened to him. It broke me emotionally!

- I would have loved a case where the Police would ask for the details of the molester so that he is brought to book. How can you do that to a child? Parents pls be very vigilant with your children in boarding schools. Be close to them and pray for them as well!

- This is a wake up call to our churches. Let us build our children and youth churches well to cater for their peculiar needs. Men and women of God should pls learn from this painful story! If not for Christ , this guy could have become a street urchin and tout but thank God for the saving grace of Jesus!

- Finally, parents should train their kids with the Word and pray for them. Many agaygay were bred in boarding secondary schools!

Biblically,can Pst Chris remarry since their divorce was not based on the wife’s infidelity and she is still alive?

The wife divorced him based on allegations of adultery and unreasonable behaviour. This means the wife is biblically allowed to remarry

If truly he fell into sin and he has repented, does it mean he MUST remain unmarried and burn with passion for life while his ex has the option of moving on!

My thoughts
-This is uncommon consecration from a teenage new convert. He sacrificed comfort and succour for Christ, little wonder God has blessed him immensely .

- This is what I call genuine salvation. It shows and everyone can see it. When I became born again in Sec School, I preached from class to class not minding if I was expelled. I was just restless for the things of God. You cant be genuinely saved and remain the same.

My thoughts
- Pst Bakare is a good son and husband. He took care of his widowed mother and made sure his wife was treated as a queen! He didn’t ask to share the bills 50:50. He didn’t ask her what she was bringing to the table. He didnt bother about her salary.

- Pst Bakare said he manages the remaining money to work! This is deep! Women would give their lives and unalloyed loyalty to any man that is selfless and puts her and the kids first. They would do anything for such a man! Little wonder they have a successful marriage!

- Finally,I encourage men to emulate Pst Bakare’s style in marriage however in a case where the man is genuinely financially incapacitated, the woman should honourably and respectfully take over!

Apostle Joshua Selman:”Many pastors need mental check up by specialists. Some of them are dealing with trauma from childhood and translating it to correction of fathers and contemporaries in the church. We can’t love Jesus so much that we will be k#lling ourselves. If this onslaught on pastors on social media is NOT stopped, pastors may start k#lling one another !!!

My thoughts
- Selman’s speech, to the unsuspecting, may sound great and praiseworthy but to the critical thinkers and scientific minded ones,u can see it is pregnant with a lot of unsavoury things.

- Selman’s message is an indirect punch at Rev Kesiena Esiri who has been at the forefront of calling out errors in the body of Christ. Remember that Kesiena openly confessed about how he used to dance for the devil as an unbeliever apart from the many abominable things he did. Selman is subtly referring to his past as an unbeliever as ‘ childhood trauma’ which is affecting his mental state and preaching now! Haba! Mr Selman!

- Selman’s message aims at creating an all powerful cabal in the church that can’t be questioned or queried. That isn’t possible my brother. The watchers ministry is essential for a healthy church just the same way opposition party is healthy for the ruling government. If u end up silencing Kesiena, God will raise unbelievers that will do it in a more painful way!

- Selman believes some pastors need mental check up because they are calling him and others to order over errors like saying u can’t be rich by giving to the poor or for him to explain the sword he and Jerry collected in Ghana. This is ludicrous and preposterous!

- Finally, I encourage Rev Kesiena Esiri, Arome Osayi, Isaac Omolehin and other watchers on the pulpit/social media to keep doing the Lord’s work. In fact double up on your job! This subtle attack just shows the message is hitting hard and touching the targets.

Important Observations!
- Both of them genuinely love each other. They go everywhere together and you can see the chemistry anytime they are together. It’s infectious!

- Mummy Esther makes sure she looks good and dresses well for her handsome husband. She doesn’t look like someone who is 80. Her fashion sense is top notch though modest.

- I also noticed Pst Kumuyi is looking fitter,slimmer and dresses better since he married her. He wears beautiful blazers more often and this can be attributed to mummy Esther who takes good care of him and also because Pst Kumuyi wants to look good and keep healthy for her.

- Finally, I would encourage younger Christian couples to learn from the Kumuyis and apply some of these principles to your marriage. It would help greatly.

- For u to go and see your doctor means u were sick or probably went for check up. Your doctor now tells you ur diagnosis and the next thing u threatened to slap him! Would Jesus do that?Should a law abiding citizen do that? Threat of violence or assault especially to a doctor is unlawful and can land anyone in jail.

- Doctor started rolling on the floor because of your super anointing and was probably in that state for 12 days in a hotel! This is ludicrous! So the doctor had no family or friend. So the nurses and hospital staff would just be looking to see ur men bundle their doctor into a car and drop him in the hotel without raising alarm? The police and the medical association were not contacted after the doctor was literally abducted?

- Does it mean you were so special to God such that nobody including your doctor could talk to you and anyone who dares to is turned to a vegetable and yet u were falling sick and faced your own share of life’s challenges? Do you think God loves u more than His other children?

- This is another lamba and formulated story told to make people idolise and hero worship him. This has no biblical or scientific basis.If this was in the West where all human lives are largely of equal worth, he would have been arrested by the police to corroborate this story!

- Calling out public erroneous messages like this is very important for the church. Some men of God would adopt this style since their revered father in the Lord did it and had a ‘successful’ ministry. They would call it Rhema to validate it. Some of the fathers also learnt it from their mentors and if not addressed would pass on to future generations as doctrine.

My thoughts
- Deeper Life Monday Bible Study is a weekly program I would recommend for any Christian. It gives a solid biblical base that makes u well grounded even if u are not a member of the church. Pastors from many other denominations attend and it was rumoured that the founder of CCC, late Rev Oshoffa used to attend then to build his Bible knowledge base.

- Pastor Tunde Bakare’s plain desire to win a soul for Christ eventually got him a wonderful wife . They both grew and became solidly baked in the church before they moved on to have a very successful ministry and family.

Joshua 1:8: "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success”

Against a talented,rugged Benin team that needs only a draw to qualify,Nigeria needs to get her tactics and formations right.

Eric Chelle would be coming up against an old,wily and experienced Rohr who understands the Naija team like the back of his hands.

Benin would sit back, absorb all the pressure and hit us on the counter. They would play safe and use set pieces to try and score.

Chelle should play a 4-2-1-3
Dual pivot of Ndidi and Onyeka to thwart the counter attacks of the Benin guys . Iwobi in front of them just behind Osimhen and Adams. Simon on the left and Benjamin overlapping on the right because he is a very good crosser of the ball. Anytime Benjamin goes forward, Onyeka slots into right back.

I would pair Bassey with Ajayi because Ekong has lost pace and a taller/faster Ajayi would cope better with Mounie. I would start Sanusi ahead of Bruno because he offers more defensively and offensively.

No room for Chukwueze because we are playing 2 big strikers hence we need someone that can give good crosses and also track back to defend. Those are not his strengths. He likes to play like Robben and this will starve our 2 strikers.

All in all, if everyone interpretes and executes their roles well, it could be a 3-0 win!

Things Eric Chelle should do to avoid stories that touch against Benin

1- Urgent psychological assessment of Nwabali. If he fails the assessment, he should be dropped.
2- Ekong is too slow. Mounie would outrun and outfox him. If he has to play,then u must start Onyeka to protect him like he did at AFCON
3- Allow Benjamin to overlap from the right and deliver crosses. He appears to be a very good crosser of the ball and it would help Osimhen and Adams.
4- Play Iwobi just behind Adams and Osimhen
5- Sanusi in place of Bruno who is very match rusty and prone to errors.
6- Simon on the left should keep it simple. No dribbling. Just cross the ball.

- I am happy that Nigerian Christians are no longer swallowing everything thrown at them at the altar. They are now checking the scriptures to confirm just like the Berean Jews. This is healthy for the body of Christ.

-Healthy Christian debates are healthy for the church! When Pst Adeboye said no tithe,no heaven, some of us came out and said it was wrong. This forced him to self reflect which culminated in an apology.

John loves God and lives a righteous life yet he is very fashionable and dresses well. He is a breath of fresh air in the church. He allowed his wife dress in a way they felt was ideal even though it flouted the rules of the church and broke his dad. This shows a man who is revolutionary and wants a change from the old order!

If Minister John Kumuyi takes over from his dad, many things will change in Deeper Life! He may just be the one God is preparing to take the church to the next level!

I love righteous brothers and sisters who dress well and smart. If Deeper life brothers and especially sisters are allowed to wear posh clothes like John,the church would attract and keep more young people and ultimately lead more people to heaven!

They didnt receive Christ hence dont justify your sins like Polygamy, alcoholism,anger, praying for enemies/mockers to di£ and sexual immorality with their ways of life.

-Is this peculiar to Deeper Life? Is there really a pandemic of unmarried women in the church?

- Is this due to the bottlenecks of the marriage committee? Are there things that can be done to make things easier for brethren to get married?

- The fact that Deeper Life women can retain their virginity into old age is one of the reasons I rate the church as one of the best ever. It takes a lot of spiritual strength,commitment and dedication to keep yourself with all the societal pressure to have kids and have a partner!

Nigeria won an apparently easy game by the skin of her teeth. If we play like this against Benin, we would be roundly defeated.
Nwabali almost cost us the match with schoolboy errors and unforgivable lapses in concentration. He needs to spend some time on the bench to reset his cognition.

Ekong has significantly lost pace. Mounie and Ishola would be salivating at the prospect of facing him. Yes, he scored but his defending was laboured and subpar!

Bruno Onyemachi is NOT starting for Olympiacos and the rustiness showed in his game. His decision making, crosses and defending are suspect.

Benjamin was great and calm in right back. He also had good crosses. Bassey was good as usual. Ndidi tried and covered the ground well. Iwobi also tried . Moses improved. He wasn’t holding on to the ball for too long. He kept it simple and did well with his crosses. Kudos to him for listening to corrections.

Osimhen isn’t at his best yet as he is just coming from injury. Lookman isn’t in prime form yet as he didn’t have a proper preseason. Tolu was wasteful and missed sitters with his head despite his impressive height.

Akor Adams could be our joker. He is the most in form player in the team. His confidence is at the roof after scoring against Barcelona and Lesotho. He is unknown to Rohr and may just be the guy to help us beat Benin handsomely!

Pastor Kumuyi made this statement some years back when addressing church members in a local parish in the UK! Workers in the UK pay between 0-45% tax depending on their salaries!

My thoughts
- There is no harm paying tithes to support the church. Even though I personally don’t rate it since Jesus and the Apostles didn’t rate it . I however don’t frown on men of God who use tithes to genuinely take care of the poor and disadvantaged in the church.
- I personally believe more in the apostolic approach of wealth management in the church where the rich used their resources to eliminate poverty in the church. Every body brought everything and the Apostles shared equally. Nobody drove a Rolls Royce or flew a jet when others have not eaten.

32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Osimhen almost got sent off in their match against Besiktas yesterday! He was visibly angry with the defender and grabbed him in the neck! It was an eye sore and a low moment from Victor but thanks to one of the Captains of the Nigerian National team, Ndidi, he quickly ran to hold and calm down Victor who is a junior to him in the Super Eagles. This was very mature and selfless from Ndidi. He could have looked away and allowed Osimhen to be sent off as they were on opposing sides rather he chose blood and dignity over sporting win! Kudos to Ndidi. Na Man you be!

Important Questions to Ask
- Are all human lives worth the same in Nigeria?

- The massacre of many in Benue uncovered by VDM never got this kind of attention and coverage. Same for others in many other parts of the country. Why?

-Why did she jump from the 3rd floor during the robbery despite being an intelligent lady? Was her judgement impaired by Alcohol,poor sleep or substance abuse? Was fear alone the offending cause?

RIP my sister. May God give ur family the required strength and fortitude to bear ur loss!

I Never said Pst Chris was Not a Man of God. I only said I don’t believe his submission on 50 people being raised from the dead in a year. This is not an attack on him or his ministry rather it is my opinion based on my knowledge of the scriptures.

We can disagree on ideology and doctrine just like Apostle Peter and Paul But it doesn’t mean we are not brothers bought by the same blood of Christ. Healthy spiritual debates and discussions allow for a more vibrant and healthy church. No man(whether Pope or GO) is an island of knowledge!

I don’t believe this statement from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome! Even though I believe in miracles, it is NOT possible to raise 50 people from the dead and it won’t be public knowledge. It would be in the news and everywhere and it won’t even be the pastor who would announce it, especially in this age of social media! The mortuaries and the hospitals would write it in their journals and publish it!

As men of God we MUST be careful not to exaggerate the truth, formulate stories or embellish stories in order to raise the faith of the people/make us look super anointed. This is sadly a common practice among many popular and celebrated Pastors worldwide!

When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, he didn’t announce it to the world rather it was people who saw it that spread the news until it got to the Chief priest. Such miracles would always cause pandemonium!

Pastor Folu Adeboye drops bombshell!
“ Someone came with poisoned food to our house on New Year day. Many people were around to celebrate with us . The moment I saw the food my spirit was troubled and I knew there was something wrong. I asked that they should give the food to the dogs. An hour later, the gateman came to tell me that the dog was dead. Imagine people ate the food and they died in our house. May God give us the spirit of discernment. “

Important Questions to Ask
- Who is after the life of Pastor Adeboye and his family? Why would someone very close to them have the effrontery to bring poisoned food to the house of the man of God?

- Are people so desperate to take over leadership in the church that they are ready to poison the Adeboyes?

- Is this why Pastor Adeboye uses his son as PA ? Does it mean there are so many enemies around him even in the church?

1 Peter 4:17
17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Pastor Adeboye said he had many questions for God when his son died . ‘ Why didn’t u tell me? Why didnt u give me a hint? Why not take me instead of him? It was a very difficult for me and I was largely inconsolable until a little girl advised me to allow God carry me.”

Food for thought
- All the pastors and men of God that called and visited did not have the right word for Pst Adeboye during his difficult period. It took a little girl to give him the right word that he needed. This is a very important lesson to people who critique people like us and think we are too small to advise Pst Adeboye or their general overseers!

- Pastor Adeboye said he was inconsolable during this period. He was sorrowful and this just shows he is completely human. I tell people who go to camp to pray on Adeboye’s former bed, chairs and bedroom that it is pure idolatry. The fact he is a man of God doesn’t make him a superhuman! Develop ur spiritual life and have a personal relationship with God. Never Use Adeboye or any man of God as a middle man. It is idolatry!

- Pst Adeboye questioned God for allowing his son’s demise. This shows he is human and not perfect like u and I . He also is running his race and u too should run your race! Your Pastors and GOs also have their own prayer points.

The day many Christians in Nigeria and abroad thought the rapture was going to take place and the world would come to an end!

Some people emptied their accounts and gave themselves a nice treat,others resigned at work,others started marathon fasting and spiritual cleansing towards the day!

The fake prophecy came from a renowned Pastor in South Korea, Lee Jang Rim, founder of the Dami Mission in South Korea. He claimed that 144,000 believers would ascend to heaven on that date and that those left behind would face seven years of war, famine, and global destruction, culminating in the Second Coming of Christ.

Lee’s church had over 300 churches and 20,000 followers, including branches in Los Angeles and New York. The prophecy caused widespread panic in Korea—some followers quit jobs, sold homes, or even committed suicide in anticipation . One tragic case involved a man who died of malnutrition after a 40-day fast in a Dami Mission church in LA.

After the prophecy failed, Lee was arrested for fraud and illegal possession of foreign currency. Authorities described the group as a dangerous cult.

Lee officially disbanded the Dami Mission in November 1992, and apologised whilst he was in prison awaiting sentencing. On 4 December 1992, he was convicted of fraud and sentenced to two years in prison because he had collected $4.4 million from his followers to purchase bonds that did not mature until after October 28.
