Applied with my wife as dependant. We had seperate dates for biometrics. I did mine 2nd of Dec, she did walk in 3rd Dec cos they refused to let her walk in with me. I have received my visa now (13th of Dec) but hers is yet to receive a decision from DMC. We both paid for 5 days priority. Ensure your applications are done and submitted together to avoid the likelihood of this happening.

TLS Ikeja has been terrible. I'll advise you pay for walk-in for her before the 29th and start putting her name on the queue by 28th of December cos you can't walk in same day. If she is able to get her name on top 20 for the 29th (will be done around 10pm - 2am on 28th) then both of you can do the biometrics same day. Seperating your application can have disastrous effects. Make sure you go in together.

Hi. I only submitted work references from 2014 till date (last employment being August 2021). I believe either work references or the appointment letters will do. And no doesn’t have to be dated December either. That’s going by my personal experience. Just make everything as credible as possible and avoid implications.

Please for those that were asked to bring evidence of employment to explain study gap and have received their visa, did you upload your past work reference and a letter of recommendation from your current employer or you attached only letter of appointments.

Even though, I have not received NSF from ukvi but I need to get all my employment documents ready since my study gap is 9 years plus.

If it was only work reference you guys uploaded, can I attach my present job work reference I requested for when applying for admission dated August 2021 along with my past recommendations or I need to get updated one from my boss when ukvi request for my employment evidence.

Lol why did you apply to 8 universities? Only 4 at most is ideal. Anyway, how I made my own decision:
1. Ranking of the universities
2. Tuition, initial deposit and % of tuition due on enrolment.
3. Location (I prefer London or proximity to).

Remove Middlesex from the list. They barely issue Nigerians CAS. Messed me up earlier for September 2021 intake.

Hi. I see some people going to University of Lincoln. Just want to put it out there that they require 50% of the tuition on enrolment. Not sure if people pay attention to that but it'll mean you paying up to 7k/8k before enrolment. Without which you would be reported to the Home Office.

Hi. Get to IOM as early as you can. Based on my personal experience, they call names on the list very early and you go in to start the process. 9-10am is fair but I believe 8-9am works better.

Sigh that’s tough. Cos now they didn’t state why your application isn’t straightforward and what they need from you to approve or make a decision on your application. Just pray and hold faith. You can also send a paid email to inquire about the delay, especially if you paid priority.

Then you can still get lucky. I think the University of Plymouth is really fast and don't do interviews for their CAS. If you have all those sorted, all you need is CAS and then you apply for a visa. Best of luck!

Not advisable. Getting the admission is nothing, you'll have so much to get done within a short time. Except you already have POF, TB test and all of the money you need. Why take yourself through mental gymnastics?

Nah. Almost every school has unique requests before issuing CAS. But it's good to have your POF ready so you can send to the school and if they reply fast enough, you can apply for your visa immediately. Most schools will like to see that you have your POF ready.

Best guess is that they're unable to meet up with the timing stipulated for priority services, as they have way too many applications than ever. So are being truthful with the fact that no application will be concluded as fast as the timing they stipulated. No visas have been issued faster than 9 days in the last month(s).

You can't be issued visas for part-time courses as an international student outside of the UK. So unless you want to complete the course online (if the option is available) or the university will reject your application.

Oh great thank you. Was worried. Yes, they requested for work/study evidence from a certain year. Sent them CV, reference letters and certifications within the period till this year.

I'll advise applicants to avoid University of Law and Middlesex University. They don't issue CAS.
