your location plays a big role on the speed you get. if you're at an area with only gprs, what you'll get is something around 53.6kbps, edge is around the speed you're using right now, and 3g is around 7mbps. move to 3g area and see your device giving you what bargained for.

i went to cc at ikeja and met the staff that sold the modem to me, i explained everything to him, and right there he made some callls and after answering the call he told me that it cant be possible to use another network on the modem, so i asked him why did you guys attach it in your FAQ that "the modem is not network locked", then he said that he have taken note of that, maybe they will remove it from the FAQ. even he first claimed that he didnt know that such an issue is attached at the FAQ. so i think they used the strategy to lure more people to get their modems. Anyway if there is anyone who have succeded in this issue let him help others please.

i'm using CA-53 on my e61i, and is working perfectly for me.

Zain said that there modem is not network locked, but i insert mtn sim card in zain's modem and its requesting for a network code. If someone in the house have tried something like this and have succeded, please do share with me.

But, is it possible for one to use mtn #500 day plan 4 more than a day or #2500 nite plan for both day and nite?

Can any 1 tell me how to browse with mtn's #2500 nite plan in the day and also on how to browse with #500 day plan 4 more than a day. Please help.

i experinced a like problem, but i went to there cc at ilupeju, and the guy over there did some manipulations and told me that i'll start browsing the following morning, and it worked out, only that i'm currently browsing with wap and it serves me well.

Hey guys, have somebody tried to use other networks(sim card) on mtn fastlink usb modem and it works.

@sniperwolf, please sombody should help us out. I too is lost in this open vpn stuff.

I don't know if it's from the type of yf i'm using as its limit is 8kbps/sec or from the phone. I believe that it might not be from my area because i do sometimes get edge or 3g signal in my phone.

while browsing with zain+yf(free), using my e61i as a modem, my download speed is alwayz btw the range of 3 and 4kbps/sec, which is very damn slow and my area is ajao estate. please, can somebody help me out from this mess . thanks

I think you should be happy, that such an opportunity comes your way. The question is that" is the girl truely attached to you as you do?" because if she do, even over there she will sill try to pave way for you as your her dream man.
