A set of armed robbers would be thanking their stars after being rescued from being killed by an angry mob in Lagos earlier today.

It was gathered that the suspected robbers were nabbed by residents of Shomolu area in Lagos, and were beaten mercilessly almost to the point of being lynched by the armed crowd. 

The suspects were rescued by the police and whisked for possible prosecution.

A young Nigerian lady has got herself making the rounds online after sharing her story of conceiving six babies within 3 years of marriage.

According to 25-year-old Chidimma Offor, who hails from Ekwulobia in Anambra state, the journey to the births of her children has not been an easy one but it's been worth it for her.

The graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, took to Facebook to share her pregnancy pictures and wrote; 

At 25, within 3 years of marriage, we've been blessed with 6 beautiful babies....trust me when I say it wasn't an easy journey,buh it's been worth it. Say hello baby Somkenechukwu (female), Sobenna(male), somfechukwu (female), chimsonarii (female), newest addy to my not so lil family.

My God is awesome!!!  Ehee! Ndi gym i'm now ready o....taking dis slay game to an entirely new level...

Former Senate Minority leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, was at the All Progressives Congress campaign in Abak local government area of Akawa Ibom state and decided to entertain his supporters with a small drama.

At the rally, the APC leader in Akwa Ibom, pretended to be crying over his former party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as his wife and other APC leaders on stage jokingly consoled him.

He continued his drama by singing a song against PDP as he and other supporters mocked the party ahead of their "final burial in the state".

A member of the Neoo Black Movement of Africa popularly known as Black Axxe (Egede), was buried in style at his hometown in Abia state.

The 46-year-old man identified as Mr. Chinasa Oliver Ezeh, was laid to rest on Thursday, January 31st, as many of his cult members who flew the confraternity's color - shut the village down for the burial. 

It was gathered that despite police presence at the burial, the cult members still went ahead to do their thing to the surprise of the villagers. 

The deceased was also buried with a banner belonging to the cult group as can be seen in the pictures.

A man has been arrested after stealing his friend's ATM card and taking about N660,000 from his bank account. 

According to reports, the suspect identified as Emmanuel Johnson, was said to have visited his friend named Ibrahim at his house in Delta state, where he allegedly stole the ATM card without the victim/friend's knowledge. 

It was gathered that Ibrahim was shocked to receive a debit alert of N660,000 - few hours after his supposed friend left his house.

He rushed to the bank to freeze the account and block the ATM card before reporting the issue to the police.

The police swung into action and discovered that Emmanuel, his friend was behind the shady withdrawal.

It was learnt that the suspect had uploaded pictures of himself grooving on Facebook and also flaunted wads of cash online. The suspect was nabbed on Friday, January 1st (yesterday) over the crime which he committed on 18th of January, 2019.

He will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Report has it that a strange shrine that discovered in the bush on the boundaries of Iworo and Are-Ekiti, have caused unrest among some herbalists from Are-Ekiti in Ekiti state. 

Speaking with Babatunde Bamigboye (Omo Edema), one of the herbalists who identified himself as Mr. Kunle, said an herbalist friend who recently missed his way while on his herb-fetching activity near the bush discovered the scary building.

According to Mr. Kunle, “An herbalist friend from Are-Ekiti came to inform us that he missed his way recently in the bush between Iworoko and Are-Ekiti only to burst out at a strange shrine where he met nobody.

The herbalists said vigilance is very important now that ritual killers and diabolic people were seemed to be on the increase in the country.

Sculptures and other unconventional spots were discovered at the shrine.

A lady has been brutally murdered by an unknown person in a hotel. It was gathered that the yet-to-be identified lady was allegedly lured to the local hotel and killed in a gruesome manner. 

Her throat was slit and her gullet removed, according to an online report. 

Facebook user Adegwa Emmanuel Terkura who hails from Benue but lives in Minna, Niger state, shared the story as he warned ladies to be careful of who they follow to prevent something like this. 

Adegwa wrote; "Girls be careful of who you follow.not every body that is real. This lady was murdered days back by an unknown person in a hotel. Her gullet was removed, let this be a deterrent to other young girls out there".

Residents of Akenfa -I Epie Community in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, have cried out for help following the killing of two women within two days.

A woman was brutally killed on Friday, February 1 (early this morning) by suspected ritualists and was dumped in a waste site at Akenfa I Epie community.

The woman identified as Goodnews Stephen, an indigene of Kolokumo/ Opokumo Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, had her brain taken away with her face shattered before being dumped at the back of Akenfa Secondary school building in Yenagoa.

The husband revealed that his wife woke up early this morning at about 5am to supply meat pies to her customers in Akenfa and environs. But she was murdered on her way to market.

This is happening two days after a woman was raped and killed by unknown hoodlums in the same community.

A sitting at the Court of Appeal in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state, was disrupted yesterday during an appeal filed by contending parties for the 2019 tickets of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Read below the press statement as issued by Rivers branch of APC. 

The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) is shocked how two lawyers who are appointees of Gov. Nyesom Wike led PDP thugs to assault innocent witnesses in the Appeal Court of Justice Ali Gumel in Port-Harcourt yesterday.

Trouble started after the lawyers of Rivers State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presented their matter before the Justice Gumel appeal panel. Later, the court called the matter between the Rivers State Chapter of APC and Senator Magnus Abe. As counsels to parties announced their presence and presentations commenced, Barr. Chris Itamunala and Barr. Osima Ginah led a group of PDP thugs into the courtroom and they started attacking lawyers and witnesses claiming that the court should not sit in compliance with the ongoing NBA court boycott.

Our party members, who were eager to have our matter heard by the Appeal Panel, were not spared by the hoodlums. Apart from the Justices, the PDP thugs led by Itamunala and Ginah assaulted everyone in the courtroom. All appeals by Justice Ali Gumel and his colleagues fell on deaf ears as the thugs kept shouting that the sitting must not hold even as they continued the physical attack.

We recall that the previous day, the same thugs had invaded the court claiming to enforce the NBA court boycott. That fracas elicited strong words of condemnation from Justice Gumel.

“Lawyers are supposed to be keepers and protectors of laws but it is shameful that those who should protect the law and act as stakeholders in the quest for justice chose to desecrate the sanctity of the very temple of justice they are supposed to protect. It is sad,” Justice Gumel bemoaned.

As a political party, we condemn this assault on the judiciary as seen today. We believe that members of the press who witnessed the unfortunate incident will not be deterred in bringing it to the public space for the benefit of Nigerians. Equally we believe that well-meaning Nigerians will condemn this act of wanton assault and desecration of the judiciary by agents of Rivers State Government under the guise of enforcing NBA court boycott. We know that the main purpose of the assault was to cause an indefinite postponement of the hearing of APC matters by the Appeal Court with a view to scuttling APC presence on INEC ballot for the forthcoming elections.

We urge members of the judiciary not to fall for the cheap antics of Gov. Nyesom Wike, his agents and the PDP. We enjoin APC members to continue to remain law-abiding as we will surmount the present temporary hurdles by our opponents.

A man was severely dealt with after allegedly stabbing a girl to death earlier today in Imo state.

According to reports, the man who is said to be mentally unstable - allegedly stabbed the little victim to death with a knife at Douglas market in Owerri, the state capital.

While the reason for his attack on the girl is yet to be determined, it was gathered that the man was seriously beaten by an angry mob and was almost lynched to death before the arrival of security operatives in the area to control the situation.

The suspect was later whisked away by the police as investigation into the matter begins.

Villagers of Amaba Isuikwuato in Abia state, were thrown into panic after bodies of three ladies were found along the Amaba – Ezere road in the region.

According to Abia Facts, gunmen invaded the house of the resident pastor of the Assemblies of God Church in Amiyi Obilohia in Isuikwuato, stabbed the Pastor and his wife and kidnapped his two daughters.

The mutilated bodies of the pastor's daughters were later found along the Amaba and Ezere community border - with their heads and breasts removed.

The injured pastor was rushed to the hospital for treatment as the corpses of the victims have been recovered.

A middle-aged man has been brutally murdered by yet-to-be identified assailant(s) in Imo state. According to reports, the deceased had his hands and legs tied up before he was brutally killed over an unknown reason.

His corpse was recovered by other villagers who were shocked over the murder of the 'friendly and jovial' man.

The bereaved friends and family have laid curse on those they feel are responsible for his death as they said the killers will never know peace. .

The corpse had been deposited in the mortuary as at the time of filing this report.

A recent wedding in the eastern part of Nigeria has got people talking and the reason is obvious. A man who is said to be mentally unstable tied the knot to his beautiful young bride in a traditional wedding graced by family, friends and associates in Ozubulu area of Anambra State.

Internet users have been left wondering on how and why such a wedding was allowed to take place even considering the age gap between the couple.

Lawyers in Akwa Ibom State are not smiling at all. Their refusal to smile is connected with the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen.

Earlier yesterday, the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) directed its members nationwide to boycotts the courts for two days to protest what it called the illegal suspension of Walter Onnoghen by the Muhammadu Buhari administration..

The association took the decision at its emergency national executive committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja today.

The NBA Chairperson also constituted a monitoring team led by herself to go found courts and ensure that no lawyer appears in the Court.

A member of the monitoring team of NBA Toyo Jimmy, Esq said the sit at home order directed by NBA is to protest the siege that President Muhammadu Buhari has inflicted on the Judiciary.

Toyo Jimmy said, in the Legal Profession, an injury to one is injury to all.
