What topic on 'Religion section' made you to join Nairaland?

I can't remember bro, wat i can recall is that many heretics roam the religion section then, spewing heresy and all forms of uncharitableness on the Church and to a more disturbing degree on Mary. It really made me feel bad because i was still learning the ropes about true devotion to Mary. Anyway, with grace, i never derailed on my quest on knowing more about Mary. Infact, the heresies was a shot in my arm that spurred me to eclectic researches to what the church is all about and the place of Mary. In a nutshell, the heresies made me thick skinned and more lettered on matters of doctrine.

Besides research and notional interest, some events/experience back then and now have helped strengthened my faith in the church and confidence in Mary. They were practicals that confirmed doctrines.

I use uc browser on my phone. Nairaland has a preloaded bookmark on the application home page, it's all about click and watch what happens, So i went on a clicking spree and found the religion section interesting. Then i joined.

Merry was a character in an award winning movie titled "The lords of the rings" he was my best character because i loved the name "Merry" it kinda appeals to me. I also love characters that sum up to 7. So, when i was creating this moniker i had to add the prefix Da to Merry to produce a resultant 7 letter word damerry

I asked this 'cause most times I battle more with "my concentration" when praying the rosary; my mind keeps flitting from one thought to another. I've to often times jolt my mind back to the wordings of my prayer, then before I know it, my mind is subtlely veered into other thoughts. It's a continuous challenge.

This mostly happen whenever I say the 10 Hail Marys' of each mystery. I tend to concentrate more while singing them,or in a procession or while in the presence of the terbanacle with pin-drop silence and that kind of benediction-like atmosphere with candlelights.

But I will try going thru the links u provided to work more on maself.

Just try hard bro. When all fails, remember the fact that each hailmary is a beautiful rose.

First thing first, acknowledge the mystery e.g. The first mystery of light, the baptism of Jesus. Acknowledge that Jesus was baptized to identify himself with us and accept the role of God suffering servant.

Then, As you recite each Hailmary, Picture a rose emanating deep from within you, coming out of your mouth with your innermost feelings and desires (petitions, thanksgiving, Joy, sorrows e.t.c) to form a crown of roses as subsequent hailmary produces a rose with adds to other roses to make a complete crown for Mary.
