Sal C: The communion of the saints: the triumphant church intercede for the pilgrim church, the pilgrim church learn from the triumphant church and ask for their intercession while in turn pray for the suffering church, the suffering church; when our prayers finally aid them, in return intersceed for the pilgrim church.

Christianity EtcRe: A Thread For Catholics by damerry(m): 3:21am On Nov 16, 2013
Pope Francis described the communion of saints as the spiritual fraternity between the saints. But he added this unity extends to Catholics today, which are all united to the Body of Christ. As a result of this communion, the Pope said, Catholics should support each other spiritually. Pope Francis explains what we can learn from the Communion of Saints

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE POPE'S CATECHESIS

Dear Brothers and Sisters:
In our catechesis on the Creed, we now reflect on “the communion of saints.” As the Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us, this is a communion “in holy things” and “among holy persons” (No. 948).
The communion of saints is the deepest reality of the Church, because in Christ, through Baptism, we are made sharers in the communion of life and love which is the Blessed Trinity.
As such, we are united to one another in the Body of Christ. Through this fraternal communion we draw nearer to God and we are called to support one another spiritually.
The communion of saints does not only embrace the Church on earth; it also embraces all who have died in Christ, the souls in purgatory and the saints in heaven.
We experience this solidarity between heaven and earth in our intercessory prayer and in the feasts of All Saints and All Souls which we shall soon celebrate. ( Already celebrated, this post is late)

Salient point

The communion of saints is not all about asking our "CELESTIAL BRETHRENS" to pray and obtain graces for us, it also involves praying for the souls in purgatory ..............AND............. helping each other (here on earth) spiritually by praying for others, educating others on Matters of Faith, counselling e.t.c

what a great communion.
Peace.

damerry: To prepare our minds for the month of november dedicated to the souls in purgatory, the following revelations are worth reading.

The Secret of the Poor Souls in Purgatory An interview with Maria Simma of Austria.

www.michaeljournal.org/simma.htm

www.all-about-the-virgin-mary.com/purgatory-private-revelations.html
(even the facebook comments by faithfuls at the end of this ^^^ link is worthy of belief)

Both of these revelations, after exhaustive investigations by Church authorities, have been approved for publication and have received declarations from Church authorities that “nothing contrary to the Faith can be found in them.

please visit and lets share the parts that touched us most.
salient points from both revelations

i. Souls in purgatory (church suffering) can do nothing to save themselves they need our prayers (church militant)

ii. The best and effective way to pray for them is to
1...offer Holy Mass for their souls
2.... Stations of the cross
3.... The holy rosary
(please be sure of praying @ least two of these prayers)

prayer of saint Gertrude the great, a prayer which would release 1,000 souls from purgatory each time it is said

"Eternal Father, i offer Thee the most precious blood of thy divine son, Jesus, in union with masses said throughout the world today for all the Holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family, Amen"

the above prayer ( prayer of saint Gertrude )can be said @ any time and it's one of the most brief powerful prayer that benefits the holy souls in purgatory, you can say it over and over..
1..When idle
2..when walking on the streets alone
3.. After any "glory be to the father and to the son......."

please work for the Holy souls in purgatory, they in turn, will not fail to pray for you by offering their sufferings to God for the intentions of the souls that prays for them.

please visit/revisit d links and post more salient points i failed 2 notice.

italo: ^^^

Just to reiterate,

Please read Matt 22 & 23.

In Chapter 22, the Pharisees, Herodians and Sadducees kept heckling Jesus without giving him breathing space. The kept trying to ensnare him.

In Chapter 23 he had had enough and went on an all out attack throughout the Chapter. He didn't make it feel soft on them. He practically brought the sledgehammer on their hypocritical heads.

By verse 24, they had given him breathing space and he could concentrate on teaching his disciples who wanted to learn.

There's a time and place for everything.

Sometimes, we should be silent like Christ before Herod.

Sometimes, we should answer to their traps with a few wise words or questions...like Christ did many times.

Sometimes, we should bring out time to carefully explain like Christ does to his disciples.

Sometimes, we should confound them with our good actions like Christ raised the girl from the dead while people were laughing at him.

But once in a while, we should go on an all out attack, exposing the hypocrisy of the hypocrites...just like Christ did.

Maybe if we exposed some of these things more, many of our weaker brethren would not have joined them.
It's hightime you opened that thread on "strategies of defending the catholic faith"
you can also drop it here if it's not worth opening a thread for.. smiley

Boomark: I can see there is an error in your thinking faculty. That happens when you are a manufacturer of error. I said, "Beware! An angel of darkness can transform into an angel of light." A simple advice. If you say it is Mary, you say so yourself. I can see you are more interested in miracles just like people who about to prayer houses seeking miracle instead of God. SMH!!!

Wait o! Did i just see WOKY? Who does not know what is right or wrong. The follow follow boy abi man. Always drinking milk when he is suppose to be chewing bone. I desire nothing from you. SMH!!!

Boomark: I will not answer your question since you cannot pick a single error from my rants. If you don't know the answers, it is not my business since you will never know. All i gave was an advice.

@italo
Don't you know your adversary as a Christian or yours is based on denomination? SMH!!!

@syncan
don't you see how demerry wants me to start a circular movement with him as usual? I reject am. He read his bible and do as he wish. All am giving is advice devoid of error.
Guy there is more than enough error from your rants

first of all, you have apparently failed to recognise the fact that praying to Mary does not negate Christ role as the only mediator. I asked you if requesting your pastor to pray for you is the will of God or not, you refused to answer.

Secondly you are apparently of the opinion that some devil is appearing as an angel of light in the name of Mary, This really got me laughing

do you remember what they said of Jesus when he performed exorcism?

"He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince ofdemons"

my friend, thank God you attested to the power of the rosary which has been used to perform many miracles and defeat the work of devils.

And you are of the of the opinion that some devil ( appearing as an angel of light ) uses our Rosary prayers to fight himselfhuh Here is Jesus's reply

“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

How then will devil's kingdom stand? Dear bookmark, Jesus is asking u this question.

has anyone noticed dat boomark had scruples with just 2 question? Anyway, this thread was not opened for advice, keep your error filled opinions to yourself dear boomark.

italo: Dear Catholic,

Why do I have a feeling that the devil is glad that we are arguing with the adversary instead of sharing the graces from "The Meditations on the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary?"
yes. Dats true, the best we can do is to continue praying and sharing the graces obtained ( keeping the faith alive ) and @ the same time educating the ignorant and countering heresies. Remember our early church fathers, the did both @ the same time and they have succeeded in keeping the faith alive for 2000 years
bro, it's our time, lets do our bits. Remembering this word of Christ " i shall be with you till the end of time "
Christianity EtcRe: Meditations On The Mysteries Of The Holy Rosary (joyful And Luminous) by damerry(op): 8:07am On Nov 05, 2013
Boomark: Did actually read what about the Buddhist monks that pray and meditate with the rosary? They too perform miracles through it and they will tell you that it carries power. So a Muslim living a holy life and asking Allah for forgiveness makes him a doer of God's will?

As far as i know, even from the laws and the prophets and all that our Lord told us about his Fathers will and all that will happen from the days of John to time indefinite, praying the rosary is nowhere to be found. Therefore, Rosary is Not The Will of God.

Unless you want to think for God or tell us what He forgot to tell the Apostles to relay to us.

Singing praises to Mary to make her soften the Lord's heart or make him to show partialty against those who he commanded by himself to come to him for he is the way is F9. He suffered it all. Mary did not suffer. So he knows our pains more than Mary and very willing to plead for us.

Nobody hates Mary, she's favoured and blessed. But praying to her is not the will of God. Also beware of those who pose as angels of light.
The bolded summarized your rants. Now let me ask u 2 question

1..when you ask your pastor to pray for you is it the will of God or not?

2.. Are you of the opinion that some devil is posing as an angel of light in the name of Mary?
Christianity EtcRe: Meditations On The Mysteries Of The Holy Rosary (joyful And Luminous) by damerry(op): 1:17pm On Nov 04, 2013
Protestantism made many brethrens myopic
Christianity EtcRe: Meditations On The Mysteries Of The Holy Rosary (joyful And Luminous) by damerry(op):
Boomark: Am not against the rcc meditating to receive miracles but they should know that a Buddhist monk will meditate and receive miracles he craves for with his chaplet, same with the Muslims. You also see people practice 'Out of the Body' meditation (Extra Sensory Perception, etc) and it works for them. Even those in occult use the bible to perform their rituals.

In the light of the above, i will say that even if you pray to Job and meditate on poverty, then poverty will show you that Job did not do his Masters in poverty education. The same goes to praying and meditating on the brazen serpent for healing.

Those who are wise will know that satan and his demons are out to draw us away from God even if it means coming as the angel of light.

To avoid where it say "they pray to me but their hearts are far from me," it is better to go to God through Christ for this is the perfect will of God, "that we should be reconciled back to God through Christ." Our Lord will not send those who do the will of God back to Mary, for he say, "he is the way...and no one goes to the Father except through him.

If you catholics sing praises or pray 100 decades of rosary to Mary daily because of 2 verses of greetings to her, then considering all the Psalms in thousands where praises to God was sang as He is making name for Himself, the catholics Must praise God with 100 trillion decades of His personal rosary everyday to avoid cheating.

Remember you can cast out demons and perform miracles in his name or whatever meditation you choose, but when he say "begone from me you workers of iniquity," that is final. That is if the Father is not pleased because you did not follow His will. You are on your own if you did not follow what Christ told us to do, for all he heard from the Father he told us.

His zeal is for the will of God to be done on earth and in heaven not the miracle you are getting from the so called powerful meditation you are performing.
I'll answer you based on the bolded which summarized your points

from the first bolded, i'll love to inform you that The holy rosary is also a call to holiness and reparation of sins ( read the history of the rosary as handed to saint Dominic + significance of our lady apparitions @ Fatima ),

now, here is a question...

Does living a holy life and making reparations for sins by praying d Holy rosary make someone a worker of iniquity? And not doer of God's will? ( as you opined up der ^^^ )huh

From the second Bolded.

I'm glad you know that countless miracles have be obtained through praying the holy rosary ( finally a protestant confesses of the power in the Holy rosary ) please answer my question up Der ^^^ and tell me if praying the Holy rosary is of God's will or not. Peace
