Its fascinating that Egytians read Nigerian threads. Kudos to us exporting wisdom since 1960 cheesy
Congrats on your pregnancy. If you have followed the thred, you would know its a constant that users/posters/applicants are advised to be 100 percent honest during applications to avoid issues. As it is, you misrespresented. U lied knowingly to a direct question. 14 weeks is above the ist trimester.
Sadly any advice I give u will be in futherance of a lie but I can point out the flaws in both sitatuations u mentioned.
If you send a letter of your intent, how do u get off from the fact that u said you were not pregnant?
If you get to POE and the cbp officer looks at your transcript and does the calculation, what do u say?
See the position you are in now? All the same I hope u come up with a solution. Good luck
@LadyG.....i'm a constant reader, 'once-in-a-blue-moon-poster'....i must say i always love the composure, maturity and sensitivity in your comments. Love your response above...quite diplomatic if i must say but simply the truth. You never know... (if you get my drift). Just d exact answer i would given. Kudos wink

Hi All, i'll like to get some advise on sending change of intent letter. So this is my scenario.....i got a visit visa on Dec '15 (easy breezy) while i was 5months preggy. I wasn't asked if i was preggy n i didn't declare coz my aim was to use the visa for holiday that December (had not done any birthing research) and i was more worried abt getting the visa than abt d pregnancy coz i was a potential immigrant also having family as citizen n LPRs over there and having lived there also for 4yrs on student visa.....Long story short, i got the visa and went on a 2weeks trip in Dec. POE was also easy breezy, no questions asked abt being preggy. Was stamped in for 6months which i could have stayed back to have my baby but decided otherwise as that wasn't d purpose of my trip. Family convinced me to come bk and birth so i got all necessary info from doctor and hospital. Planning to return in March as EDD is april, in your opinion, do i need to send a change of intent letter?

Hi All,

I have tried to google and search but couldn't find the answer. Could anyone tell me how well in advance of planned trip can one apply for a Canada TRV. Note I currently have one expiring in Dec but would like to apply for a new one before that one expires though my planned trip is for April 2016, planned February but I guess it is unrealistic due to the season (I hate winter). Do you think it far out or can I go ahead?

Urgent response needed pls...........

TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by damidamsel: 2:40pm On Oct 13, 2015
Hi All, Please I would like to seek advise on the Canada visit visa I am about to apply for. A bit of background: I stayed in the US for about 4 years on student visa, my mum and siblings are citizen and LPRs in the US. I visited Canada in 2013, reapplied and got another visit visa till 2015. I was to visit again in August 2015. My husband applied for a visit visa so we could go together but he was denied (for the second time as he does not have travel history), so I had to go alone. I spent a week in Canada in August and left exactly when I stated I would. My current visa is still valid till Dec 12 but I intend going by Dec 17 for 10 days so I want to apply for a renewal. However I want to include that my husband would accompany me with a letter of explanation stating that I visited the Niagara in August, loved the place but could not see much and would love to visit with my husband again to return before Dec 31 so we can celebrate new year in Naija (quoting $5000 as available fund with leave letter stating we would be paid while on leave). What do you think are our chances. I currently earn over 400k monthly, my hubby earns about 180k. Combo of our accts would have abt 2m (due to some recent spendings, previous statements would show balances up to abt 4m). Any advice otherwise?

Hi All,

To all those who got their visas after 2months or still waiting, please what route did you follow in submitting your application (online or at the vfs?). My husband and I are meant to travel to Canada in 2wks time but he submitted his app ONLINE on June 29th (as we believed it took only 3wks). I have my Canadian visit visa since last year which I haven't used at all and I wanna use it so I can renew it for the third time as I have been there before. However, as of today, even his biometrics still read "Not needed at this time". So I want to know if the time lag affects both online app and vfs even though i read on here of someone who got her visa in May after 3wks app online route

Madam... I want to assure u that ur visa will be ready after 40 days, it must take 40 days before those useless ambassey will give an alert to come and pick ur passport and most time they will deny de visa..bt, it all depend on ur documents. U can send them an email. After 41 days of waiting and calling.. I decided to send them an email.. I sent them an email around 11am.. Then around 5PM I got an alert to come and pick my passport.. And guess wat?? Is was denied... 15 stars came out of my eyes that day.. Infact smokes started evaporating from my head.. I even forget my name..bt, all de same I still tank God for evrytin. So, relax madam.. They will call u before 3days I asure dat.
If only they called me when it was 40days then I wouldn't be complaining now. It's 47days already and no info yet. Anywaiz I have decided to just fold my arms and watch since there's practically nothing else to be done. All hail the almighty Belgium embassy. lol

Your observation is very valid. I spoke with a friend who is due in Netherlands just yesterday. He applied since at VFS Abuja (Belgium Embassy) as advised by the Dutch Embassy. The VFS told him that about 1000 applications are pending at the Dutch Embassy. They are really sluggish and inefficient. Unfortunately, that’s the approved route to get Schengen visa if you are visiting Netherlands or if it is your first port of arrival before going to another Schengen country. Someone needs to talk to them. Their Embassy numbers don’t go and they don’t reply emails -or at least, their response is severely delayed.
@zik4ever, when did your friend apply and has he been able to get in touch with the Belgium embassy on this. It is quite frustrating!!!

TravelSchengen Visa Delay At Belgium Embassy by damidamsel(op): 10:29am On Jun 11, 2015
I am very much pissed with the visa processing at the Belgium embassy right now and I wonder why the Dutch embassy would allow an embassy known for such delays to handle their visa processing.

I applied for a Schengen visa to Netherlands as my first stop on April 29, 2015 but due to the Dutch embassy decision then, it had to be handled by the Belgium embassy instead of the French embassy as it used to be. My husband and I submitted our application with the hope that in 10-15days we would get our passports back as our trip was scheduled for first week in July. We needed the passports back because my husband wanted to apply for Canadian visa so we could go together as I have my visa already. We did not get any text from VFS about our application. I had to call severally before I could get someone to give me our ref no so I can check the status online.

It has been 6weeks now and there is still no response from the Belgium embassy. When I check the status online, it keeps saying application forwarded to Belgium embassy on April 30th. I have called the VFS office but I keep getting the same message that the passports are still at the Belgium embassy. I have called Belgium embassy over 30times but no one would pick my calls. We have moved our trip to August (when flights are soooo expensive!!!) but even at that, if we don't get the passports back by this week into next week, it would still be a waste. My second concern is that even though we have moved our trip to August, what if our passports return with only one month visa for July (which is very typical of Schengen visas).

I think there should be a petition for the Dutch embassy to retract passports of all those who applied for Schengen visa going through Netherlands and give it back to the French embassy to handle (as I hear that processing is now back to the French embassy). At this point, I think I am even ready to get my passport back with or without a visa. I have Canadian and US visas, if they wont give me a Schengen visa, I need my passport back as I have so many things to do with it.

Hi VO,

I am the daughter of a US citizen with 2 sisters who have PR, all living there. I was on student visa for about 3yrs (travelled home about 3 times during my stay there). My I130 was filed while I was there but I got married before the end of my F1 in Nigeria, travelled back to the US to complete my studies and left as soon as I was done before my grace period ended and 2months before my visa expired. I started work 2weeks after my return as I had a job waiting, I currently earn a little above 400k gross monthly, my husband earns a good pay too. I want to visit the US with my husband (for 2weeks) by December as he has never been there. I have strong ties to Nigeria ( my dad and brother are here, I have a good job, my husband and I have lands to our name and my husband's entire family is here) but as I have an immigrant case pending, do you think we would qualify for a visit visa. (Note my husband had been denied a US visa before. I have a valid Canada visa. We would be having a Europe tour in the summer). Please what are the odds that we would qualify?
