It looks like the payment receipt but it's titled acknowledgement slip. You print it online on the NIS portal as well as your application form and payment receipt.

Yes, there is notary office /court in the compound, they stamp for NGN500

Good day folks. I have done my capturing at Ikoyi passport office. Are there numbers one can dial for questions or enquiries about date of collection? I heard from someone that most times, it's not advisable to wait for their messages before collection as this could take time. I learnt that most times they contact passport owners very late.

Yes there are,
1. Contact them on twitter @nigimmigration they will help you check if your passport is ready, but from my experience, after they confirmed it was ready for collection, I asked them about the message and they were like it's important to get the message before going.

As I did not do a renewal, I cannot provide all the answers.
But after printing your form online and gathering all your docs including the photocopy of the old passport's data page, just proceed to Ikoyi with them, you don't need to wait for an SMS.

Yes you need to go with your old passport for sighting purposes, very important.

I don't know if you need a passport photograph, but better safe than sorry, right?

Big time f**k up here...didn't know am to come with the old passport today again, thought sighting it yesterday was enough.

I'm done with capturing now but they said they must sight the passport before submitting my file for onward processing. I have called someone to bring it for me, I'm just here waiting and imagining how long the person would get here due to traffic.

I am advising everyone to do it yourself. I was treated specially, I didn't join the long queue outside the gate, fter informing one of the officers that I paid online, I was asked to go inside when at exactly 8am cox I got there few minutes to 8am.

After the photocopy and application letter, I handed all the documents to an officer in the servicom office, the officer did all the 'waka-ing' from one office to the other, I just sat in the office pressing my phone. When he was done, he came out form the last office and walked up to me and said;

Oga, please you have to wait for an sms, that is the new way now cox of this pandemic.

I gladly nodded my had in alignment and left.

Meanwhile, I met someone outside the gate while we were outside waiting for official resumption time and I told him I'm doing it myself that I paid 25k online for 32pages and 70k for 62 pages, 10years. He start displaying covid 19 symptoms then I asked what the matter was, he said he paid 150k for 62 pages and he was there for the 3rd time, no headway yet.

Can NIN slip be used in leu of National ID card?

Yes, you are good to go with your guarantor's NIN slip and International passport data page.

It shouldn't take more than two days.
The head of servicom has to sign and the servicom guy will text you to come over.

When you go to the passport office with your complete documents, proceed to the servicom section , they will check your documents, arrange them and put them in an NIS branded brown file.

The file is an official file especially for those that are self processing. Others have a white file.

Yes, enrollment is going on at Ikoyi office.

You don't have to wait for SMS before paying online, pay whenever you are ready.
But you do have to wait for SMS to go for capturing after you enroll.
