What if I tell you that Ife originally is located at Kogi? And odudua was an Igala name that's Odu du WA meaning God's gifts.
hear how it started.

The so called Oduduwa was a bini Prince who had quarrels with his younger brother on who would succeed the late king their father.
The younger began to sort means of harming the elder and was overwhelming the later. So the elder decided to leave the fight and allow his brother ruling instead of shedding blood.

On his way running, he was caught by Ogala Kingdom boundary security guard.
So after asking him who he was and where he came from, he feared not to be returned back to his bini people, so he said he was God sent or from God.
So immediately, the guards rushed him to the king as he repeated the name as God sent.

After some while in Ogala now Igala Kingdom, the king gave him his daughter to marry with an allotted land to farm known as Ife.
There he bore children and feared that soon if he didn't change environment, his people would one-day know about this and come for him.

So he ran with his wife and children to the now known Ile Ife that's Ife house or home of Ife.
So meeting some Yoruba's there who were fighting war with the hope of finding a saviour, Odudua introduced himself as the sent from God.
They asked for signs to proof his claim, he took them to a mountain top and instructed a rope to come out of the sky which he told them was his means of transportation to earth. Though some believed he got these magical powers from his bini Kingdom while others held it that the Ogala people who practiced Ifa (traditional religion of sand, water and air ).

So after he lead them to battle which was won, he was installed as king.

He was ruling when the bini people learnt their king was ruling another land successfully. So they came begging he follows them back but he refused rather asked one of his sons to go on his stead who was later killed.


Till tomorrow in Ile Ife, there's a stool that no Yoruba person can sit on except a bini extract.

And only a bini person can coronate an Ife Oba...

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked Haske Baptist Church in Manini Tasha village, Chukun Local Government Area of Kaduna state, killing one person.

SaharaReporters gathered that an unspecified number of worshippers were also abducted by the gunmen who invaded the church around 10am.

The deceased was identified as Dr. Zakariah Dogo Yaro, a medical doctor with the Kaduna State Ministry of Health.

Kaduna is one of the states in Nigeria most affected by rampant kidnappings by bandits.

On April 20, an unknown number of students were kidnapped from Greenfield University, a private institution in Chukun LGA. A security guard was also shot in the attack.

Although there is no official confirmation yet, about 40 students are said to be missing from the private university.

Three of the students were found dead days after their abduction.

On April 22, two nurses were kidnapped from Idon Hospital in Kajuru LGA of the state after an attack by gunmen.

The armed men were said to have gained access to the hospital through the fence, opened fire before abducting the nurses who worked the night shift.

Nigerian Army Shuts Down Military Camp In Niger, Evacuates All Soldiers Over Fresh Attack By Bandits

The Nigerian Army has shut down a military camp in Zagzaga community, Munya Local Government Area of Niger State after another attack by bandits. The gunmen invaded the military camp and engaged the soldiers in a gun battle, set a military vehicle ablaze, while the food store in the camp was burnt.


While no soldier was confirmed to have died during the attack, one officer was said to be missing. The soldiers however moved out of the community in what the secretary to the state government, Ibrahim Matene, called a “tactical withdrawal”. Hours after they moved out, it was learnt that the bandits launched coordinated attacks on communities in the area, kidnapping over 15 persons.

Communities affected in the fresh attacks are Zagzaga, Zhani, Guni and Maraban Daudu. In March, a military base in Allawa and Basa, Shiroro Local Government was attacked by bandits who killed five soldiers and a mobile policeman.

A document has been uncovered which showed how President Muhammadu Buhari’s communication minister Isa Pantami and other Muslim leaders plotted to assassinate former Kaduna State Governor Patrick Yakowa.

It was unclear whether the conclusion of the Muslim leaders was responsible for the helicopter crash that killed Mr Yakowa, and the minister did not immediately return a request seeking comments from Peoples Gazette on Wednesday night.

Mr Yakowa was the first Christian governor of Kaduna, which is divided between Muslim and Christians, although with a mostly Muslim population.

Mr Pantami chaired the July 13, 2010, meeting of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), a foremost Isla mic body led by Sultan of Sokoto Sa’ad Abubakar, where it was agreed that Mr Yakowa and his family must be eliminated because he was a Christian leader leading a state in the Muslim-dominated North.

“We must either use the security or other means to eliminate the governor, his family and all those they perceive as supporting him,” Mr Pantami and other leaders said in their communique adopted at the meeting held at Bauchi Central Mosque.

The meeting complained that Mr Yakowa was making moves to contest for governor in 2011 and he had the support of former President Goodluck Jonathan, a fellow Christian.

Mr Yakowa became governor in 2010 when Mr Jonathan tapped Namadi Sambo, then Kaduna governor, as his vice-president.

Mr Yakowa contested in 2011 and won a substantive four-year term. He was killed in a helicopter crash barely a year later in 2012, alongside former national security adviser Owoeye Patrick Azazi. The event had long been suspected to be more than just an accident, and investigation into what happened was never concluded or made public.

The minister did not immediately return a request seeking comments about the 2010 meeting.

Document about the meeting surfaced as Mr Pantami came under pressure to step down from office after The Gazette uncovered details of his past inflammatory statements. The minister said he was always happy about the massacre of unbelievers.

He also said Osama Bin Laden was a better Muslim than himself and wished Al Qaeda and the Taliban success in their terrorism.

They are being sent to their discipline related department. An electric engineer will work in thier works department under the electrical unit. So as a lab scientist will work in the lab. Computer scientist could work as an IT technician, or to supervise the department in maintaining thier systems etc.

They are not trained as soldiers!!

The Nigerian military has reportedly arrested Zaki Unaha Koko a chief in Konshisha Local Government area of Benue state over the recently killing of 7 soldiers in the town.

According to a local social media influencer, Ter Benue, who broke the news on Facebook, this is coming after the Nigerian army had reportedly burnt down his palace on the 8th of April 2021.
