Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend pleads guilty to driving offense

Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend has pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license, and is expected to pay $88 in fines and clear his license.

Kenneth Petty pled guilty in New York to aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, according to court files obtained by TMZ. He is expected to pay $88 in fines and clear his license.

In the court documents, a police officer says he witnessed Kenneth blow through a stop sign around 1:30 AM on Sept. 13 in Long Island. Cops pulled Kenneth over and discovered he was driving on a suspended license.

This isn’t Kenneth’s first brush with the law. In the past, Kenneth has been convicted of first-degree attempted rape and manslaughter. While serving time for killing a man, Kenneth racked up tons of prison violations.

Househelp smashes baby’s head with glass then applied salt (Photos)

A househelp been arrested in Kenya after she hit a baby’s head with a glass plate then applied salt to the injury before fleeing.

The lady identified as Joyce Namuma panicked after hitting the baby placed in her care with the glass plate. She applied salt to stop the bleeding before fleeing.

The baby’s mother came back to find her child crying and in much pain which made her to seek medical assistance.

The househelps who fled to Banana in Kiambu County was tracked through an agent and arrested.

Her name is Joyce namuma magoha, from bungoma. She’s been working for a friend of mine in thika for two months. She hit the baby on the head using a plate made of glass then sprinkled salt on the wound then left the baby there lying down with no one to take care of him. It’s the mum who came back from work and found the baby bleeding on the floor. They tracked this Satan’s agent and she was found hiding in banana past Ruaka. She’s currently in police custody. If you ever bump into her kindly don’t employ her.

Spread this everywhere so that no mum can risk entrusting her with their child/ children. I’m so angry!!! I cannot even begin to imagine the pain this boy went through. When asked why she did that she said ati personal stress!!!” she wrote.

Mauvee Hayford: I can’t date a broke guy because it’s a wrong move

Live maggot retrieved inside the body of singer Harrysong (Video)

Nigerian singer, Harrysong has taken to social media to share his testimony after a live maggot was removed from his back when he went to Uganda to perform.

According to the singer, he took antibiotic after he noticed a boil on his back, but it didn’t clear off. However, the boil later came with severe pains which he couldn’t bear and he had to seek for medical help.

Atiku beats Buhari inside Aso Rock polling unit

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday defeated President Muhammadu Buhari in one of the two polling units located inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.



There are two polling units in the seat power. For PU 022 Atiku polled 525 against Buhari’s 465.

For the senatorial election, PDP won with 546 votes against APC’s 477. For the House of Representatives, PDP won with 521 votes against APC’s 466.

There are still results of three voting points pending in the second polling unit, PU 021.

Google Glitch: One Dollar Is Not N184, See New Rates

Google Currency is currently showing that one dollar is going for N184, but this is just a glitch in Google’s software or Algorithm.

The Central Bank of Nigeria sold the greenback to bureau de change (BDC) operators at N357 per dollar on Friday.

Musa Ibrahim, a BDC operator, who spoke to TheCable from Lagos Island, said he bought $20,000 from the CBN at 357 per dollar.

“We collected from CBN today at the rate of N357, and each BDC operator is entitled to $20, 000,” he said.

Two members of staff at Google, who spoke off the record, confirmed to TheCable that this was just a bug, that is currently being fixed by the search giant.

According to Bloomberg currency rate, the dollar is currently trading at N361.8, with the local currency gaining N1.75 against the greenback.

Nigeria goes to the poll in less than 12 hours after this glitch, driving speculations and jokes on social media on how the incumbent may want to turn the economy around overnight.

While some fear that their stacked dollars may have lost tremendous value, others are celebrating a rise in the value of the naira, but many are aware this is just a temporary glitch.

Whatever the case is, the dollar is still trading at 358 to 360 at the foreign exchange market.

Masculinity is not having 8 women twerking around you – Obama

Barack Obama has given his opinion concerning toxic masculinity by stating that a man doesn’t need to have 8 women twerking around him before he can be seen as a man.

Obama made this known at a recent panel with NBA champion Steph Curry.

When asked to define who a man is in relation to the LGBT community, the former US president said:

“Being a man, is first and foremost being a good human. And that means being responsible, being reliable, working hard, being kind, being respectful, being compassionate.”

Obama didn’t hold back his opinion when the open discussion turned towards toxic masculinity.

“The notion that somehow, defining yourself as a man is dependent on are you able to put someone down instead of lifting them up, are you able to dominate as opposed to support. That is an old view. And a view that, thankfully, I see young people rejecting.”

He went on to state that male confidence is not by having 8 women twerking around you.

“If you are very confident, about your sexuality, you don’t have to have eight women around you twerking. I mean, why are you? You seem stressed you gotta be acting that way. ‘Cause I’ve got one woman who I’m very happy with. Right? So…and she’s a strong woman.”

Popular Ghanaian singer Mzbel, whose real name are Nana Akua Amoahhas said she is not interested in getting married legally especially because Ghanaian men treat women like slaves.

Justice for rape in Nigeria’ – Adekunle Gold reacts to rape in Lekki, says its violence against humanity

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold, has also reacted to the Lekki rape incident which occurred few days ago with a 23-year-old victim.



The singer who stated that sex without consent is rape and recording it is also vile, equated both acts to violence against humanity.

Adekunle Gold who reacted to the Lekki rape incident further added that we should not keep quiet down online and offline, until the rape victim gets justice.

He wrote;

This is not a women’s issue, this is everyone’s issue. Any and Everyone with a voice, I implore you to not quiet down online and offline until we see the resolution and this woman gets justice.
Sex with without consent is rape, recording it is also vile. Both are a physical and emotional act of violence against humanity.

Beautiful girls are mostly single because no one ever believes they’re actually single

Juliet Ibrahim is of the opinion that ‘beautiful ladies’ are single because people, most especially the men, do not believe that they are really single.

It is not rare to find a lady who is regarded as beautiful still remaining very much single. Many of them do not quite understand why, despite their pretty looks, they still cannot find a suitable partner.



Ibrahim via her Instagram simply wrote; “Beautiful girls are mostly single because no one ever believes they’re actually single…”

This is coming after the delectable actress clapped back at a non-fan who body shamed her.

The Drama started after the Ghanaian actress shared her recent photo and while many people had kind things to say, this troll hopped on her page to mock her legs.

And Ibrahim read him for filth.



“Do you mean the brain surgery you require?” she asked him, adding, “Dimwit. No worries. I will do mine immediately after your brain transplant.”

Although the troll went further to rant, the point has been made: only a dimwit mocks a woman’s body on social media.

It’s not true I was arrested in America-Yewande Adekoya


Background

I’m the first of five children and I was born in Lagos State. Growing up was interesting for me because my parents gave us everything we wanted, but they didn’t spoil us. I really appreciate the way we were brought up, as my parents prepared us for what we would face in the world as adults.

Education

I attended Bright Star Nursery and Primary School, Somolu, Lagos, and Bright Star Comprehensive High School, Bariga, Lagos. After obtaining a diploma in Network Engineering from the National Institute of Information Technology, I proceeded to Babcock University to study Mass Communication.

Childhood dreams

As a child, I was a handful. I wanted to be everything. I liked telling stories during break hours while I was in primary school. I will say destiny brought me into acting.

Parental support

My parents were supportive from the beginning. As a matter of fact, they sponsored my very first movie production in 2006.

Career

I started acting professionally in 2002 when I joined Alphabash Music and Theatre Group. We were into stage performances. Prior to that, I had been a storyteller and actress right from my primary school days. I was actively involved in school theatre, even in the university. I produced my first movie in 2006 and it was titled, Life Secret. It was later turned to a TV series.

However, I believe that I am just getting started. There is always room for improvement and there are still many grounds to cover. The journey has just begun and I pray for more grace to keep pushing on.

Roles

I can go to any length to interpret a role assigned to me in a movie. However, the people I work with know my stand about nudity and featuring in scenes that are sexually explicit, so they don’t send me such scripts. I have always been like this so it has nothing to do with marriage. I am an African woman and a mother.

Challenges

I am grateful to God for giving me the strength to withstand the storm as an actor. I must confess to you, it was really challenging at the beginning of my career in 2002. When I look back at the stormy moments that God helped me to conquer, my heart is always filled with thanks and appreciation. No one could have survived those troubled moments without the strength and grace that come from God. But despite all the challenges that came my way, there was never a time I felt like quitting the industry.

Controversies

The rumour that I was arrested for fraud in America in 2017 was false. I woke up that day and saw the news everywhere. I felt the journalist was paid to write such defamatory news about me by someone who was threatened by my brand. But she made a huge mistake because she attacked the wrong person. I didn’t travel to the US in 2017 as she claimed; I was in Nigeria working. I am an upright citizen and I have never been associated with anything illegal. All claims of this sort should be disregarded. The American government is not silly; I have even travelled to the US and Canada after the fraud news. The journalist didn’t apologise or retract the story; so, my lawyers were left with no option but to sue her. As we speak, the case is in court. The said journalist has refused to turn up in court since the case started.

Piracy

Piracy has been a major problem in the industry for a very long time. Other challenges have become part of us and we have learnt how to deal with them. The industry is growing and I believe we will become a force to reckon with across the globe pretty soon.

Regrets

I am happy with my life. Given a chance to turn back the hands of time, the only thing I would do differently is to get married and start making babies earlier.

Fame

I am still who I am. Fame has not changed anything about me. Fame has only taught me to be more humble.

Role models

I don’t have a role model, but I have people who I admire and respect their talent and courage. I admire the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Bimbo Akintola, Funke Akindele, Fathia Williams (Balogun), Bimbo Oshin, and a host of others.

Marriage

I have been married for six years and it hasn’t changed anything about me, except the fact that I am a wife and mother. Motherhood is beautiful. I thank God for the grace. I wish I had married and started a family earlier.

Fashion

I like simplicity. Even as a person, I am very simple. I am a workaholic and people tell me I am fun to be with.

Relaxation

I like to stay indoors with my family. I also enjoy travelling and seeing new places.

Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph has slammed the critics of her ‘twerking up a storm,’ calling them hypocrites.

“I don’t care about people that had negative things to say about the video. Nollywood made me and I am grateful to the industry. Many of the people that criticised me are hypocrites. Some of them still use my videos and pictures to ‘help’ themselves.

They have it on their laptops and phones. Despite all the noise, two companies recently signed me as a brand ambassador. One of them is a cosmetics company and the other is a travel agency. I will continue to do what I know how to do best.”

On if she would be getting married this year (Which is one question many of her fans ask), the curvaceous actress said;
