Qatar’s Ras Abu Aboud stadium for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final is to be a 40,000 capacity venue built using shipping containers and modular building blocks, each containing removable seats, concession stands, lavatories and other stadium elements, it was revealed at the weekend.

After the World Cup, the stadium may be reassembled on another site or turned into multiple venues.

The stadium was designed by Spanish firm Fenwick Iribarren Architects, German consultant engineer Schlaich Bergermann Partner and the UK’s Hilson Moran.

Work on the 450,000 sq m project is under way and is due to be completed in 2020.

It is located on Doha’s shore, 1.5km from Hamad International Airport.

The project is expected to receive a four-star Global Sustainability Assessment System certification, a green building rating system developed for Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Hassan Al Thawadi, secretary general of Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, said: “Innovation has always been central to our plans for delivering a historic Fifa World Cup that leaves a legacy for Qatar and the world, and there is no better example of this than the design of Ras Abu Aboud Stadium.”

Hope we can replicate this in Nigeria and Africa!!!

True talk. I am human and so I have the proclivity to cheat on my wife; but this is where the grace of God comes in which TEACHES US TO SAY NO TO UNGODLINESS.

On my wedding day, I repeated my vows regarding faithfulness to my wife i.e. "forsaking all others" by beginning with the words "by the grace of God". The officiating Minister at the wedding was unhappy and made me repeat my vows due to that insertion.

I deliberately referred to the grace of God in my vows because that is what it takes for even a God-fearing man to be faithful to his wife - believe me I have been tempted with ample opportunities over the years but the grace of God kept me - every God-fearing man will attest to that!!!

I beg to differ with you my sister. There are still God-fearing men out there. I have been happily married to my lovely wife for the past 9 years with 3 handsome boys. I have never cheated on my wife and I make sure love is richly established in my home. See pic of my family

The thing is YOU CAN ONLY ATTRACT YOUR OWN KIND i.e. in most cases godly men often meet godly women

I pray for God to make you be in the right place at the right time to meet the man of your dreams.

5 African countries qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia namely: Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria and Tunisia.

The sad thing is that all the African countries were eliminated in the first round of the group stage of the World Cup - in spite of having stars like Salah of Egypt, Mikel of Nigeria, Mane of Senegal, etc. The last time that no African country advanced beyond the group stage in the World Cup was over 30 years ago.

So my question now is, WHAT DOES THE POOR PERFPRMANCE OF AFRICA AT THE RUSSIA WORLD CUP TELL YOU ABOUT THE STATE OF THE CONTINENT huh

I am sorry but there are still very good and virtuous ladies around. My young colleague in the office recently told me that his wife chose him ahead of other rich guys (including a guy working for as an expatriate for Shell in Holland); she said she didn't want to be someone's trophy wife (inspite of the fact that she has a Master's degree from UK and ACCA). She married my colleague who didn't have a car then because of his intelligence, spirituality and vision. I could say the same about my wife who has given me 3 wonderful sons in 9 years of marriage. I don’t know what you people are saying. I have taken women as h.oes and treated all Nigerian girls as the same.

God cannot kill Satan because he is a fallen angel and all angels even the fallen ones are spirits (Hebrews 1:14) - YOU CANNOT KILL A SPIRIT. Same way all humans are spirits housed in physical bodies. That is why ones's death is actually the demise of the physical flesh beacsue your spirit will either go to heavan or hell fire where one will live forever. Hope my answer is satisfactory.

The first Scripture on women submitting to their men is controversial in modern times. However I realise that much emphasis have not been made on men loving their wives AS CHRIST LOVES THE CHURCH - I wonder if it is because the second command is more difficult than the first.

So this is the question to Nairalanders, IS IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR A MAN TO TRULY LOVE HIS WIFE THAN IT IS FOR A WOMAN TO FULLY SUBMIT TO HER HUSBAND - or vice versa.

I am not surprised at Prof Nebo's claim.

The problem with the power instability is the centralization of the power infrastructure.

In most countries where power is stable, each province/state and even municipality/city (e.g. New York city) generate, transmit, and distribute electricity through private corporations.

Until states like Lagos are allowed to lure private companies to power the state and other South-West states through a state or regional grid instead of the failed national grid and other states/zones follow suit, Nigeria shall NEVER achieve stable power supply.

In Plateau where I was raised, there is a power company known as NESCO which is far more efficient than PHCN when it comes to power supply. I have been told that NESCO has the capacity to supply stable power to Plateau, Nasarawa, and even Benue state. The problem is that even if NESCO generates such, it will be transmitted and distributed through the national grid and you guys know what will happen.

That is the reason why the power infrastructure in Nigeria needs to be decentralized - without that we will NEVER attain stable power electricity supply.

On a serious note, blessings and favor follow those who abstain from pre-marital sex before getting married - this is not intend to sound judgmental on single ladies and gentlemen that are not virgins.

I am a guy who married about 5 years ago and I was a virgin before I got married. It was not easy when I courted my then girlfriend who is now my wife. As a man what I did was instruct my wife to resist me by all means if I make a move to have sex with her during our courtship- you know women are stronger in resisting the temptation of sex better than men. Our desire was to attract God's mercy and favor in our marriage by not engaging in pre-marital sex.

I and my wife dated for more than 1 year and got married - the financial breakthrough we experienced to fund our wedding is another testimony on it's own.

To cut the long story short, immediately after 9 months we were blessed with a bouncing baby boy who is almost 5 years of age today and 2 years later were blessed with another boy who is currently 2 years of age.

In terms of my career, I have progressed from an officer to a manager within the space 5 years of marriage and hoping to conclude on some multi-billion naira projects before the end of this year.

The point I am trying to make is abstaining from pre-marital sex attracts God's blessings, favour and mercy in ones life as I hope my story encourages those guys and babes out there that are still virgins.
