do you know that Elliot Finch in gangs of London....is a Yoruba guy for real? wow...
As per Wikipedia, Ṣọpẹ Dìrísù was born and bred in England, to Nigerian Parents.

It implies he's a Brit, but also Nigerian, despite the fact that he has never ventured within the shores of Nigeria.

That thread touched me to my soul.

How many times did ishilove get her mod friends to ban me when she herself was guilty.

The number 1 culprit mod is even her friend.

Truth always comes out.
You're lost, bruv.

One moment, you're chumming with her, helping her with links and whatnot... the next, you're regurgitating "alleged" past wrongs.

Nigga, make up your damn mind. undecided

I love this although my first choice would've been Rob Lowe or Joe exotic himself.
Sarah Paulson or Cate Blanchett for Carol Baskins
Joe Exotic is a POS that's currently cooling his jets in a federal penitentiary.

Moreover, he has portrayed himself in the unscripted Tiger King docudrama.

Lastly, he's not an actor.

Lol sorry for the spoiler, I just dont know how to watch the show without shawn
You didn't do anything wrong, the spoiler tag was to warn readers to be wary of my spoiler-ridden post.

Remember how Ned Stark was guillotined, and viewers thought Game of Thrones will never be the same, but it bounced back like a round ball, and proceeded to eliminate more principal characters?

Well, Gangs of London has fully committed to Game of Thrones' Playbook, and I expect Sean to be seamlessly replaced in ensuing episodes. Also, expect more unexpected deaths.

The comparison was made in the context of prison themed shows..as oz is the best male prison show,Wentworth is the best female prison show.
You should check out Unité 9, it's kinda grim.

Lol, I've always opined here that Wentworth is d best female prison themed show..it could even be said to be in the same class with OZ
Wentworth has it's qualities, but going as far as saying it's on par with OZ is a tremendous distortion.

OZ is the better show by a stretch

This last episode of gangs of london Is absolute shyte wtf angry angry wtf such a let down . Like they run out of ideas, it was such a good show wtf
!!!Spoiler Alert!!!

I learnt in the preceding episodes that no character has plot armour, consequently, I wasn't greatly astonished when Eliot murdered Sean in the season finale. It's Game of Throne-esque... I love it.

The thing about religion is that most of us were indoctrinated into it. An average hausa guy is most definitely a Muslim, majority of them are, because they were born into it and it has become a way of life for them. It a social construct, same thing goes to an average igbo guy who is a Christian, key word indoctrination. If either of these people where born in a desert and allowed to take care of themselves they most probably would be worshipping the sun and or not give a fuck_ and just exist as normal human. My point is y'all would have no religion to dedicate your life into if you were not introduced into it. If you as an adult with a functioning brain believe a snake gave Eve and Adam an apple to eat then you have been absolutely brainwashed. Religion is nothing more than a tool used to control the masses.
Buddy, life isn't that straightforward. Try not to act like you've everything figured out.

Midsommar (2019): It was great visually, and I loved the themes it explored, even though it didn't explore them as profound as I'd like.

Hereditary (2018) : I dug it for the initial 2/3rds. It kinda self-destructed for me towards the end. Unpopular opinion, but Midsommar was better.

Raging Bull (1980): It's Scorsese, so clearly, it was masterfully made. I enjoyed it a great deal, albeit I don't believe it's near his best work, but that's just me.

Ali (2001) : Will Smith was kinda good in it, but it lacked focus. Also, having watched Raging Bull a day prior, might have contributed towards making it look worse than it probably is.

Invention of Lying (2009): I'm a fan of Ricky Gervais, so this one was a ton of fun.

Furthermore, can you explain how atheists like Richard Dawkins, Robert Ingersoll etc are all whiners since they criticize religion?

You're not an atheist. Internet evangelical atheist are not real atheists. You and your ilk are just a motley crew of internet bullies. Y'all are bleating victims of atheism. I feel nothing but pity for y'all.

Wow. This ranks as the silliest atheist post that I have read.

How does atheism make you an active participant in your life instead of being a victim of it?

Ascribing things to atheism that have nothing do with it.
It's ridiculous to you because it hits home.

Whingeing about religion all the time makes you a bleating victim of atheism, in light of the fact that at the core, atheism isn't anti-religion.

You're lost, bruv.

Please kind folks, I use Vlc player with the vlsub ext for subtitles. I can't watch a movie without subtitles and this has made me not watch many a movie. Of recent my vlsub no longer works, doesn't load or bring up subtitles and sooner shows "not responding" if I try to search. What do I do? I've uninstalled and reinstalled VLC player and yet no success. I use the latest version of vlc I think. Please help!
Just get another video player. I recommend MPC-HC.

You evolved? Should I quote your previous comments on how you insulted me with every vulgarity possible like a drunken sailor? When you copied my pantie washing jibe at ornicus, that was mature?

Lord hypocrite, don't let me get angry this night.

I came to nairaland for one purpose. To educate people on the excesses of religion. So far, the result has been pleasing for me. Go to the religion section. There is a stickied thread called "the non-religious thread". That thread was kept there as a result of my consistent pressure on the mods that non-religious people needed their own special thread if christians got theirs. You know how hard that was because everyone knows how pompous nairaland mods can be.
Lol, I was just messing around. It's called trolling, which I haven't done in a while.

Don't make me laugh, Mr Man. Your evangelical kind give non-confrontational atheists a bad name. Statistically, atheists are less inclined to specify their skepticism than theists are to make reference to their belief in a higher power.

Many atheists even think religion is an extraordinary, and instrumental part of society that they would never want to see cease to exist, but they simply don't have any personal stake in any religion.

Quit talking shit.

For me, as long as a religion is not harmful or causes bodily harm towards any human, people should believe or choose not to believe in what they want.
Yeah. People ought to be empowered to live in civility with deference for all beliefs, or none thereof.

You're a typical evangelical internet atheist, lol.

It's amusing in light of the fact that your kind battle religion as ardently as evangelicals push their strict beliefs on others.

You remind me of me when I was passing through an angst phase during my teenage years. I viewed myself as an atheist, and would not spare a moment to forcefully assault the doctrines of Christians and Muslims alike. To put it plainly, I was a proper equal-opportunity evangelical internet atheist. In any case, people evolve, and in like manner, I grew out of that emo stage, thank God.

You're apparently still stuck in an emo stage in your old age, and it makes me sad. I say this with compassion, but you need to grow the fvck up.

Atheism is simply a logical position on the existence of God.

Atheism does not tell you anything about somebody. An atheist can be a Buddhist, a satanist a humanist, a sexist, a thief or a president.

I am a humanist.

Despite what you think, I am for freedom of religion. Everybody has the right to religion. However, in an open forum, one does not have the right to ot be offended. Every idea or religion can be criticized.

Dont expect me to respect your theology by force. I will speak the truth about your religion
You're lost, nigga.

Immature?

A black Nigerian man choosing to accept that he is inferior because God has chosen Jews as his chosen people is very mature.

The truth is bitter. Every single Nigerian Christian is a Jewish slave. A willing participant in colonial brainwashing
You strike me as somebody that misguidedly, but genuinely believe that insulting Christians makes him a cool atheist.

Nigga, I got news for ya; atheism isn't hostile to religion, it just doesn't follow one. Given how little you know about atheism, I accept that you're a faker, or a fraud.

The mere notion might be strange to you, but it's conceivable to not believe something without abhorring it, kapish?
TV/MoviesRe: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by DandeNummeruno: 5:36pm On May 04, 2020
whitelotus:
huh

How does one point out problems in christianity without criticising Christians?
There are ways you can make salient points without mocking the convictions of the other individual. Believe it or not, Christianity is a lifestyle to certain individuals. Calling them Jewish slaves is nothing short of immature.

Religion has eroded Nigerian cultures. I assume that you are igbo from your posts and your name.

Part of my family is igbo.

First, why are igbo people now bearing Jewish names as last names? Igbo names used to have meanings. You know what it means to call a girl Nneka. Or to call someone "Agu"...a brave lion. Now igbo people have names like Goodluck Jonathan. Reginald James, Hezekiah Emmanuel.

Then, there are the igbo Jewa that claim to be the lost tribe of isreal. These people have been rejected by scholars and Israeli government. But still they follow Judaism. A religion that empowers Jews over others as Jewish people.

Where are the shrines of your forefathers? Where are the sculptures of their gods. Broken and buried by Jewish slaves called Nigerian Christians. Kindly go to india, japan and South Korea. Despite foreign influence and growing christianity, they keep their Buddhist, hindu and shinto shrines of their forefathers.

Furthermore, homosexuality has never been an issue in Nigerian cultures. It was ignored. If you dont believe me, kindly tell me the punishment for homosexuality in your igbo culture if it were criminalised
Nigga, You don't have to disparage Nigerian Christians to come to a meaningful conclusion. Your foolish petulance has rendered your post null and void.

And how does religion factor into the man kissing his fellow man discussion?
Or did you see were i used religion as a threshold in my post?

If i may indulge you, what's religion & what's culture?

So from your analysis, having a religion has eroded my culture & as such, i shouldn't have culture cause i have religion?

So, religion and culture can't exist pari passu?
You traded your genealogical convictions for an imported religion, did you not? Perhaps I'm terrible in history, yet I don't recall Christianity being a piece of our way of life preceding the coming of White Missionaries to our shores.

Do you basically choose the philosophies that suit you, and disregard the ones that don't?

EXTRACTION 2020:- 5/10

I watched "EXTRACTION", common people, this movie have one of the weakest plot I've ever seen in a movie, they just basically tried to jump to the action part of the movie in no time at all, the acting was just there, it just shows people just like to see a famous actor with a gun in his hands.
I gave it a similar rating. The film is long on activity, but, short on everything else. All hat and no cattle, basically.
