mekaprime: I know he's a versatile actor, but him playing gay was something i never expected, i was literally shocked as fvck. Same way I'd be stunned if let's say L. Jackson, D. Washington or Bale plays a gay role in a movie. In the event that you're very much familiar with his adaptability/versatility, at that point, this most recent gay role shouldn't come as a shock to you. It's what method actors do, they break limits. Christian Bale has portrayed a gay character before, BTW. |

Brukx: Are you serious? Because I gave up after season 1 Well, season 2 is better. The story was reinvented to become more than just about gangsters. Brukx: One thing that keeps me glued to a series is a magical theme song. That's how GOT, Naruto, The Succession, Deception and others won my heart
This is one element BB and Ozark are lacking I understand the appeal of a memorable theme song, but at the end of the day, it's merely an introduction of sorts, nothing more. |

SperoQuest: Well i don't think so because Peaky blinders got me hooked up right from the first episode, so was narcos, power and even queen of the south.
The slow burner and the conversations was even what made me love the show.
That's what makes a great storyline and makes it a reality. Like a true life story.
Gangs of London was just like a normal movie that has part one to ten.
You don't make a series like a movie.
Bro, look at power and look at gangs of London. Which is more realistic? Nowadays, it's hard to find anyone that will be willing to say a bad word as regards Peaky Blinders, but it wasn't always like this. I was present in this thread when users badmouthed it after it aired the first couple episodes, many called it boring even. Power?? Queen of The South?? LMAO... It's mind-boggling that anyone that loves gritty, complex and dialogue propelled drama would rate these two dramas over the much more dynamic Gangs of London. You know what I think? You hate GoL because you were unable to follow the English-accented dialogue without an English subtitle lifeline, and since you couldn't follow the dialogue, the storyline went over your head, thereby, leaving you very frustrated. Also, like you intimated in another post, you have only watched episode 1. Nigga, you haven't even scratched the surface, lol. The story hasn't even started. My advice; hold off, wait till it comes to Cinemax. Cinemax will air it with English subtitles. Then, give it a fair shake... watch every episode. |

bloodsiamese: Nah you need to have your brain checked if you didn't see holes in this season Season 8, just like it's predecessors, has plot holes, but the plot holes are not damning enough that it'd warrant a viewer to tag it the worst season of Homeland. There are a handful of seasons that are worse. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by DandeNummeruno: 12:57pm On Apr 30, 2020 |
SperoQuest: compare Peaky blinders season 1 to gangs of London season one. And you will see that only episodes one of Peaky blinders season one is greater and more interesting than the whole season of gangs of London. If you doubt me, download episodes one of the Peaky blinders and watch again. That's not true. Peaky Blinders maiden season polarized the viewers. Some viewers had problems with the slow burn pace of the show, while a section of the viewers weren't particularly keen on the brummish accents. It took Peaky Blinders a more profound season 2 to succeed in worming it's way into viewers' hearts. |

bloodsiamese: Who else is disappointed with the last season of Homeland?? Too many plot holes ehn, probably the worst season in the series Is this ironic, or are you being sincere? Cos if it's the later, you need to have your head examined. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by DandeNummeruno: 8:18am On Apr 30, 2020 |
SperoQuest: I have no desire to continue with the series because i didn't feel the episode one at all. , Maybe when I'm through with all my top series then i can continue but for now, gangs of London is on hold.
I feel it's too rushed, they should take a clue from the Peaky blinders on how a proper England gangs series is made.
Gangs of London has nothing to connect our emotions to, just like how we were all emotionally connected to the Peaky blinders and the actors and actresses. . Nigga, it has only been one season. Peaky Blinders has 6. The comparison is absurd. |

Anas09: Wow. forgive my mis-judgement of your character. In a civilized setting that wld have been taken as a compliment. In any case, good for you.
You are confused to say the least. The big bank is just a theory and creation is a myth. Wow. Lolzzzzz. Guy calm down, you're tying to too hard to be nowhere.
You are more lost than Logicboy. Bye. I see that someone is pissed lol. Unlike you, I'm not a sheeple that swallows every bullshit hook, line and sinker. I can actually think for myself, can you? I'm not confused in the least, I know where I stand. Do you know where you stand? I don't condemn people because of their religion or none thereof, unlike you sanctimonious, judgmental and bigoted types. People like you have lost what being a christian entails. A Christian is basically a person that believes in and practices the teachings of Jesus Christ. I dunno how not believing the mythical creation story hinders a person from believing in and practicing the teachings of Christ. If the creation story is relevant, you might as well include all the genocides perpetuated in the old testaments. Let's not forget the amorous Songs of Solomon while we're at it. Ask your pastor to read a chapter from Songs of Solomon where Solomon couldn't stop talking about a woman's breast_. Trust me, you're more lost than I. Good night, sheeple. |

Anas09: Good that you are a Christian who shd believe Who God says He is. You are expected to know and believe what is written in the Bible. If you don't, then you are not a Christian. Who are you to Judge? I believe Jesus ask the same question in the same Holy Bible, yes? I believe in God, but I also believe in science. Unlike you, I know that the two can co-exist harmonious if you want them to. It's all about finding a balance. Anas09: And, abt you not thinking about where nature comes from, wld you want to think abt it? Not really? I know that nature has no beginning nor ending. It's continuous. It's pretty much like energy in that regard. There's nothing to think about. Anas09: Can we continue this discussion when you know where Nature comes from? Nobody knows where nature comes from. Not your cleric, not the smartest astro-physicist. The big bang is just a theory, the creation story is a myth. Jesus said in the scriptures "Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." You don't need to know where nature comes from to be at peace with yourself and your God. Anas09: The reason I want to have this discussion with you is because I perceive a calm and a responsible disposition emanating from you.
So,.sir. do your research and come back. I'm not a calm guy, trust me. I don't need to do a research. I'm perfectly contented and at peace with my hybrid belief. |

Anas09: I will answer your question but I wanted to set a pedestal upon which you and I will stand on to have this discussion.
Are you an atheist like Logicboy?
Now. If you say death is natural, you are saying that death comes from Nature right? If your Answer is yes.
The second question will be, where did nature come from?
Lets take it step by step. 1. I'm a christian, or consider myself a christian. 2. Yeah, I believe that death is natural. 3. I don't know where nature comes from. I haven't really thought about it. |

Anas09: How did is it a natural process? I'm not well versed in the subject matter to give an informed opinion, but I'll tell you this, death is inevitable. It's part of nature. It's what awaits us all. It's a natural process. That's my simple layman submission. You haven't answered my question. |
