Feel like stealing your playbook already.still waiting for mine.I discovered i could revive it with the method you specified after I had sent it to SLot.you can't belive that those people there that call demselves engineers said they had to send it to their suppliers outside nigeria because they don't fix playbook here.

TCD: my brother I feel your pain. I got my playbook yesterday and discovered my joikuspot from my nokia which creates wireless hotspot isn't supported as Blackberry blocked all Ad-hoc wireless connections for security reasons. However I got a way around it online and I'm currently downloading the 509MB update using my own created wifi... I'll post instrustions later in the day how u can get around the stuff. Carrying your playbook around without use no make sense at all.

For fairly dented Honda Pilots, deduct 150k from market Value here in Lagos and I bet it something can be achieved including cost of fixing. I believe saving 150k worth the wait of 7weeks delivery.

alstacs: Sorry about your playbook. I am happy about the browsing experience. Were you browsing in an area where you had 3G or EDGE? The best I may have is EDGE so I need to know how fast it is on EDGE.

.browsing on edge too was cool.I don't know how fast the networks are in your area,but trust me,you will enjoy the browsing experience with 3g or edge.especially with airtel(tried it with airtel and glo).
I had the same fears like you are having now, that was why I opened this thread.but the speed was faster than my torch 9810 browser.you won't be dissapointed.
NB:some apps don't work with bridge though,eg the application world.you'll need a wifi connection to access the app world.but I tell you,bridging is fantastic.you won't be dissapointed. Oh! How I miss my playbook!

calculusx: You can also save yourself some money buying fairly accidented Honda Accord and fix it here in Nigeria like the one below.

TCD: @alstacs . I'm getting a playbook soon. I would assume There is no difference between the bridging experience and the others like galaxy tab et all. The only thing that should make any difference is the Network providers 3G or EDGE. this will also affect the galaxy tab..

i'm not sure if you are talking about the browsing speed via bridge, but if you are, then I can assure you that you'll be blown away by the speed.I had the same concern,but was very much impressed.just unfortunate that mine packed up after 3days.sent it back to slot and was told that they were going to send it back to their supplier for repairs.its been like 3weeks now.i'm still waiting

mjay: its a bug and not a fault, plug your real chagger and leave for some time, the battery drained off and it will take some time to start up again. I had the same problem when I first bought mine but I got it resolved after reading some stuffs.Its a common problem and no biggie with blackberry.

well,I just charged it to battery full while switched off.this stuff started Immidiately I switched it on.I charged it overnyt yesterny.but it still continued today.

Bought it in lag wen I went for the easter break.wish I stay in lag so I cab deal directly with the store that sold it to me.I called them this afternoon though.they asked me to take it to their port Harcourt office to see if its a software problem the pH office cud fix,but if it has to do with the hard ware,it wud have to be sent to their lagos office.I'm opening with them tomoro.wish they could do somthing about it,cos I love the playbook.

Baroba: I had a similar problem three weeks a ago, try a reset by holding down the volume rocker (- and + and power button)all at once, this tends to resolve a lot of issues. Good luck

I just bought a playbook on saturday last week, from slot.i set it up on monday and everyting was going on fine.yesterday, i switched it off to charge it.on switchin it on when i got home, it came on, showing the bb logo,went in to ease myself thinking it would have finished booting before i come back, only to find a red light blinking.i swiped as normal but the it has refused to come on till now.it just shows the red blinking light anytime i switch it on.any idea on what to do?
