Everyone is now running to stanbic. I currently have mutual funds with zenith bank but want to shift to Stanbic IBTC because Zenith Bank is always stingy with rates. I remember how I lost the first 2M I saved when I started work, after I bought into the stock craze back in 2008.
How is this mutual funds ish different? I don't want a repeat of what happened in 2008,besides, the funds this time I huge. Someone, please advice.
ikukuhero: You are very wrong, my dear. This is not about Yoruba gods. I know of a woman from Igboland who was divorced from her husband who is a second class traitional ruler ( Obi) of a community . His wife never remarried but kept flirting with various men. Today, she's dead. She died in a car accident. Another woman who was married to a first class Obi did same and died in a car accident around Edo State. Don't mess with the Ooni and those gods/demons of his except you are a powerful Christian. His ex-wife Zainab is in deep poo. Whoever marries her should write his will immediately after marriage. Aside that, she's also currently a mobile habitation of demons. I feel sorry for her.
Anybody can die in an accident. This does not prove anything.
calculusx: Not all accidented cars are bad in their entirety. Moreso, autocheck report are been exagerated by insurance adjuster at times so that owner can get a good claim from insurance coy.
For every accidented vehicle, once tyranny and engine are not affected, every other damage are secondary
Not entirely true. I had a car that was involved in an accident that affected it's chasis. The passanger side was always out of alignment.
Josh44s: One thing is certain. Buhari is in ICU, on life support machine. Don't ask me how I know. I went there to visit him. So he is as good as dead. These are waste of time.
But we were told the Lion King is coming back soon. Doesn't sound like the lion King is to ICU o.
mozele: Good day guys. I'd like to hear what you have to say about this issue.
I and some of my friends already acquired a National Diploma (ND) from a reputable polytechnic in the northern part of Nigeria. In a bid to further our education, we are thinking of persuing a Bsc. and HND respectively at the same time. For instance, i'm thinking of Bsc. in Economics or any other relevant social science courses and an HND in Business Administration.
The B.sc will be on a full time basis while the HND will be on part-time(i.e weekends). Our thoughts however is that whichever university we gain admission into through Direct-Entry, we'll also apply for a polytechnic in the same state.
I don't know if it has ever be done before. For those in the academia, we would like to hear your opinion if it is advisable to carryon or have a rethink.
Your thoughts are welcome. Thank you.
There is nothing impossible under the sun. I had a very close pal that was running B.Tech in an Engineering course in one of the university of technology , and B.Sc in Economics in OAU at the same time. He came out with a 2.1 in both courses.
Please, I will appreciate your input on this issue I posted earlier on:
Hello bro,
I have been having these codes in my Honda Accord 2007 model that uses a drive by wire system for up to a year now:
P0123 P0223 P2101 P2176
The codes have been coming on from time to time, sometimes in a space of one week, sometimes in a space of one month(as the spirit leads).
Each time it comes up, idle becomes erratic, the engine revs on its own without touching the accelerator pedal, very high idle, and sometimes the car stalls. It jerks when I shift from P to D or R, and when if I drive the car, it accelerates on its on up to 40km/Hr. I can only control it with the brakes, as there is usually no throttle response then.
I understand it has to do with the throttle body assembly. I have replaced the throttle body about four or five times. The latest one, I had to order a new throttle body online which was fixed two weeks ago. One week later the codes with its attendant issues resurfaced.
I really do not know what else to do.
I am in an area where I do not have access to a variety of mechanics or auto electricians and I'm just wondering if this fault can be fixed for good.
Please, any suggestion on what could be the problem?
Thank you.
NB:olaboy1 provided some input, which I tried out, but I'm still experiencing the same issue intermittently. I am thinking of trying another ECU, but i will feel so demoralized if I did and the problem re-surfaces.
Harwoyeez: Yes boss....the light may show up for anything requiring u to do maintenance on n not necessarily oil change
not necessarily true. In hondas, the light comes up when there is need for oil change, and will also indicate some other maintenance functions to be carried out, such as rotation of tires and sorts.
olaboy1: Go back and read all your DTC's and address them one by one. If you don't have a scan tool then you need a professional to hook it up with a scan tool and you check what the trouble codes are and how to fix them. P0123 is not throttle body but TPS circuit too high. No need to change throttle body, infact it looks like the TPS is good but the voltage coming to it is too high for some reason, maybe wire bridging together somewhere. You need to check wire harness up to your ECM. I don't think this should be a hard fix honestly where you have a DTC to lead you to the faults P0223 same TPS circuit too high P1201 No 1 cylinder misfire, this one should be ignition coil or wire P2176 throttle actuator control system idle position not learned. This one I am suspecting is a new DTC after you changed to a new throttle body, your ECM is yet to learn the new idle position compared to the old one. Fix P0123 and P0223 first and make sure they don't come back, then we know TPS does not have circuit problem again. You can fix P2176 next by following instructions from your FSM, and then fix misfire. So like AutoElectNG said you need your factory manual if you really want to fix these problems or you take the car to him and pay him to fix it.
Thank you, bro. I have a scanner, I read those codes myself. That P1201 was a mistake I think. I never got any code related to misfire.its P2101. All the codes I have been pulling out has to do with the throttle body. And when you go through the Internet, one of the causes always point to a bad TB, bad faulty wiring and lastly, faulty ECU.
I stay on an island in rivers state where we don't have competent technicians, if not I won't be on this for up to a year now. I don't joke with the car.
If I can get recommendation of a very good auto technician in PH who is willing to come to bonny, will be very glad.
olaboy1: Check your engine coolant temperature sensor also, it can affect your idle speed. Remember other components apart from throttle body can cause all sort of problems whilst you keep changing throttle body. Btw why did you change parts multiple times when you could have easily eliminated that it's not the cause of the problem at first change.
I have a toyota hilux where I had to change the injector multiple times before I had one that was ok. I was given the impression that since I wasn't getting them new , there was a possiblity that the ones I was getting were faulty. I applied the same rule to the Honda, at a point I even talked to gazzus here on nairaland and he was of the opinion that the throttle bodys I have been getting were bad. Until I ordered this remanufactured one from amazon, that was when I realized that the fault might be coming from somewhere else. On another forum, I was asked to check for vacuum leak, that unmetered air could be entering into the system that the MAF can not take care of.I removed the air intake hose attached to the throttle body and the air cleaner for inspection yesterday, but could not find any cracks. In fact, it was looking new. The fault comes of and on. It could come in the morning, and by the next few hours, or in the evening, or sometimes, a week later, the check engine light will just go off on its own, and every symptoms dissapear with it. I was wondering if the problem could be with the ECU?
Okay, I thought you were referring to reseting the ECU using a software or something. I have done the relearn process specified for Honda that resets the ECU several times, but even before I finish the process, that dreaded light shows its ugly self. It's breaking my heart, mhen!!.
PS: these methods you specified, will it work on all cars?
olaboy1: Note that the throttle body (TPS and IAC) all work together with other components that our teacher many times has referred to as sub system, some of those are MAF and MAP. So give your MAF a check. Also check that you bought the correct part number of your entire throttle body assy, and I think you need an expert to re-program it to work with all the existing parameters stored in your ECM.
The problem you described is a complete symptom of a bad TPS, you need your vehicle's FSM to know your exact part number, if it doesn't match it will never work well even if it's same make model and year of your vehicle.
Thank you for your time, bro. But if the MAF was bad, wouldn't it have thrown a MAF related code? The part I bought is exactly like the one that came with the car. Who can reprogram the ECU for me? I just taya.
olaboy1: Hello, while you are waiting for the guru in the house to break down the DTCs for you, when you replaced your throttle body did it come with new throttle position sensor and IAC sensor. Have you checked the wire harnesses to those two sensors.
yes it came complete with the sensor and the IAC. I replaced the harness sometime in February , just to rule out the possibility that the problem might be coming from there

I just fixed a new compressor in my 2007 2007 Honda Accord, yesterday. Now the car drags at all speed, and the fan comes up too almost immediately after I it stops. It also makes a noise when observed from outside. Please what could be the problem?
adedayourt: the rate at which nairaland has been using the word "mob" lately ehn
I'm telling you. I was beginning to wonder if there were other meanings of mob. I used to think the word mob is associated with an angry crowd or something related to violence.
fourfunmi: No he didn't, he went on a fact-finding mission, a number of ppl asked to be taken along back to the states, they tried to facilitate their paper sos as to travel, a guy posed as a defectee, followed them to the plan tarmac, booomm!! Massacre....he was joined by others and they shot the Senator guy(Ryan something),some members of the delegate(press inclusive) and some of the defectees who wanted to leave. The boss had to make them all drink the poison before the authorities got to him. The picture gives me the creeps everytime I remember. Gosh! Sorry for my long epistle.
look for the movie, guyana. It's an old film, watched it over 20years ago. Very touching movie.
