I'v seen two oF this senerio recently,saw one last week and the other on my way from work just this evening.both of them, 06/07 honda accord. What signs will it give before this occur? I use an 07 accord and I'm begining to get scared.

Your second thought is correct and is a repetition somewhat of what I stated

If the usual auto shifting feel will be missing from the 2013 edition, it then means it is normal to feel the shifts in honda before the 2013 edition that has CVT?

Thought I'd create a thread where we can share car knowledge based on experience or just plain benefit of information.

Feel free to add any tip you think most people will not know.

• The 2013 Honda accord will be the first accord with CVT transmission (similar to the Murano). This means the usual auto shifting feel will be missing and also a more expensive transmission. If you plan on buying this vehicle from an independent dealer, bear in mind you will have no warranty on the transmission if something goes wrong and note that CVTs are not repairable when damaged internally. I would strongly advice that a vehicle like this is only purchased from an accredited dealer
• The 2013 Rav 4 requires synthetic engine oil (0w 20 or 5w20) specifically and usage of any other engine oil grade voids the warranty and will damage the engine. Typically also, this means that if you buy one today, the earliest time you should be servicing it (oil change) is December 2014 or 7500miles
• If you must buy a Murano, avoid specially the 03-04 models with AWD. Apart from CVT issues, the transfer case fails prematurely starting with a leak. It is an expensive repair and just another reason to avoid the Murano.

• The 03-07 Mazda 6 is a good looking car but has an extremely small turning radius which makes it annoying to drive especially in a city like Lagos. If you are a sharp driver, you will not like this

I tought CVT started with 2008 honda accord?

I also tought it was not normal to feel your transmission(non CVT) shift through the gears as u accelarate,that it indicates a problem with the transmission

Change your gear selector range switch. Better still, try another one on just to have a quick check. I have a feeling that it may be faulty.

please where is this switch located on the transmission?is it the same as the neutral safety switch? Where can I get one to buy abeg.

Initially when it started, each time it occured, my mechanic will just place his hand where the starter is and it would start immidiately.

The fact that I can always start by shifting the stick to neutral each time it occurs is confusing.I read somewhere that it could be the neutral safety switch that is faulty.what ever that is, I don't know.I just don't want to start changing parts unnecessarily.

sultaan: tighten your battery connection, a loose connector will cause that.

the battery connection is tight.the dashboard lights are always on and is as bright as it should be when this happens.I don't think it has to do with battery connections

Intermittent starting problem on an 2007 honda Accord Auto 4 cyl . Battery is new and all dash lights come on when key is turned to start and nothing happens no sound at all. Shake shift leaver or move from P to N and try staring again and most times starts immediately but sometimes you have to move shifter back and forth many times before it will start. Seemd to happen in spells initially,but it's becoming more frequent. Car starts strong when it does,so I'm thinking the starter might still be okay (might be wrong though). What could be wrong? I don't want to change starter and still have this issue.

Why is my gear stick usually hard to shift from park to reverse, especially in the mornings, but at times moves freely?

domack99: Hello Honda gurus in the house, a friend of mine has an Honda accord 04, v4 engine. The car jerks forward during initial acceleration as if changing from gear 1 to 2, if anyone has any previous experience with an honda vehicle should please share it and how it was resolved.

GTB is a very useless bank.imagine,had a TB that expired today, and wanted them to rebook it for this current auction.I was shocked when I was told it wasn't possible, that the funds have to be in my account savings account before I apply.zenith bank rolls over my investment every 91 days I don't have to wait for 2weeks after my investment matures to have it re-invested.I remember what I went through before they fixed the last one that expired today.after I applied at their branch in my location,I had to call and write their head office before my account was debited like a week after.at a point, a guy at the head office told me CBN had stopped treasury bills.I told him that he should note that he's not dealing with an illiterate.

so what could be wrong with mine?

Please is it normal in honda auto transmission to notice when the gear changes while u are on motion? this kind of jerky feeling you notice when changing gear in a manual transmission.
