-You refuse to pay the allowances of the Ad hoc staff as if we are slaves. Where is the *1st N4500 Training allowances* that you refused to give more than 70% of the workers?.

-You Hijacked the *initial N4,000 as the compensated transport for the postponed election,* giving only few & denying the populous majority.

-You refused to settle the N4,000 meant for our Transport/Logistics for the Presidential election as if *we are the ones to transport & feed ourselves* for election that you collected over *N242,245, 050,100 Billion.*

-To a Lay man; that is TWO HUNDRED & FOURTY TWO BILLION, TWO HUNDRED & FOURTY FIVE MILLION, FIFTY THOUSAND & HUNDRED NAIRA. *No new card readers, ballot boxes, cubicles, stamps & virtually everything was for 2015 elections.*

-You give few & deny over 90% the N4,000 meant for the transport/Logistics for the Governorship/Assembly election. *What happen to the Basic amounts meants for the 2 Elections?, over 90% of the Ad hoc staff are yet to recieve Alerts!.*

-Do you realized that all the Resident Electoral Commissioners, Returning/Collation officer, EO's AEO's, SPO's, Card Readers, Voters Registers, Ballot papers & *everything in INEC are less important than Ad hoc Staff?.*

-It seems like, hencefort you will have to bring back all the children of the contesting politicians from abroad to do the next INEC work or rather *hire Youths from Niger, Ghana, Cameroon & Chad to be doing this slavery 'Jaki Work'.*

Information reaching 247ureports.com through competent sources knowledgeable of the goings-on within the NIMC [National Identity Management Commission] reveal unholy practices with the Commission against the Staff of the Commission and against the federal government. It was learnt the management team had devised a water tight scheme to siphon the monies earmarked for the management of NIMC.

The heartlessness of the rot unearthed at the NIMC wreaks of callousness.

Documentary evidence indicate the top bosses at the NIMC reached into the Pension scheme of the Staff and converted the monies to private monies. The management of the NIMC deducted pension monies from their staff of over 4000 for up to 5 years without remittance. This resulted in a protest at the ASCSN. The protest caused the management to begin remittances. “They were done half hazard such that staff employed at same time received different amounts. Many have not received as at date and those that did, complain of under payments”. According to our source, “this is the greatest of crimes the commission would be committing against its staff. A government institution that has staff strength of over 4000 would deduct pensions at source but fail to remit same to PFA for 4-5 solid years! When they learnt of the last planned protest at the ASCSN office, they started remitting over a weekend. Remittances were done half hazard such that staff employed at same time received different amounts. Many have not received as at date and those that did, complain of under payments. The question is; where has this monies housed for these years and the interests accruable to them as regulated by the pensions Act?”

Available information indicates the same story with the National Housing Fund. Deductions are made monthly for 5 years, none has been remitted. The monies remain lodge at an unknown location.

In terms of salary cuts and allowances, the management team exhibits the same callous criminality. In the words of our source, “the worst of it is that they have removed hazard allowances, yet staff would, and are expected to work from 8am to 5pm daily. Fix eyes on unprotected computer screens and absolve emissions from them. In discharge of their duties, staff would come in contact with people both healthy and unhealthy. An average staff is exposed to contagious diseases on daily basis. Yet, management, deem it fit to remove hazard allowances – the least of sundry allowances entitled by staff. NIMC management has sat on and refused to pay her staff 28 days allowances since 2013! No NIMC staff can tell you any amount of money he/she is expecting as salary at the end of a month due to these financial/salary irregularities perpetrated by management. A level 8 officer in the commission has once earned 115k, 86k, 76k and 56k in January 2018 despite having just been promoted in December, 2017! Yes, in NIMC, a recently promoted staff was demoted in earnings. That’s just the height of it! The effrontery is such that staff was asked and made to forfeit their promotions arrears in their promotion letters! Where does all these monies go to? These arrears, were they not budgeted for, and monies collected for them from the FG?”

It was gathered that the NIMC management team managed to induce fear into its staff through introduction of policy documents and oaths of secrecy forms which her staff are compelled to sign. This enables the management team to continue plundering the welfare of staff undeterred.

On the subject of funding of station offices, the management team appear to have washed their hands completely away from releasing allocated funds budgeted for the management of the various station offices across the country. As a result, NIMC enrolment centers nationwide are no longer funded by management despite budgeted allocations.
The management team opted to openly instruct the station offices to solicit funds on their own to run the offices. The official memos encouraged staff to seek for sponsorships and gratifications from citizens in order to perform official government duties for the nation. Our source lamented that “staffs have been reduced to beggars at places of work, hoping solely on the goodwill of Nigerians in order to perform official duties. A visit to enrolment centers across the country confirms that enrolment is no longer free. Staff would hide under the excuse of non-provision of working tools/materials and funds by management to engage in all sorts of extortions in discharge of duties”.

The NIMC management team have also exhibited ungodly nepotism in the area of promotions and placements. 247ureports.com gathered that the recently concluded promotions/placement was reported to be a scam. This exercise was without a yardstick. It was based on ‘who knows who’. A level 8 officer was reported to have been promotions to level 10, over mates who joined the commission on same date and with same qualifications. The same exercise saw new staffs promoted above old staff with same qualification. Some of the new staff were promoted and issued promotion letters before their confirmation.

Interestingly, after the January, 2018 demoralizing experience from salary payment debacle, NIMC decided to act. They decided to ask questions. Their Union, the ASCSN and their representative is reported to have lost his voice. Their chapter union is believed to have been pocketed by management of NIMC. For this reason, the staff members have requested for the vacation from office of the Union representative.

The present occupants of the Union office are caretaker exco led by ‘Kehinde’ by virtue of ASCSN constitution. But according to the provisions of the said constitution, a caretaker committee must not stay beyond 3 months. The present caretaker led by Kenny has stayed over 3 years in office. This was the reason by the staff members took their last protest to the office of the mother body of the ASCSN demanding for elections to be conducted in its NIMC chapter.

The thirty-six states of the Federation collectively received over $4bn being the over-deductions on Paris and London Club Loans on the accounts of State and Local Governments from February 1990 to March 2002. Nasarawa State received over N68bn, CBN confirmed.
Details from both the CBN and Federal Ministry of Finance headquarters showed neighboring States, Kogi received about N80bn, Plateau and Benue got N75bn and N91bn respectively. Meanwhile, the states of Osun and Edo got N84bn and N82bn respectively.
The monies were credited into the respective accounts of all the 36 states of Federation on Monday 21st November, 2016.
While that of Plateau State was paid into a UBA account (1019894291), that of Nasarawa State as confirmed from Govt. House was paid into Fidelity and Skye Banks for State Govt. (N46bn) and Local Govts. (N22bn) respectively.
Regrettably, all the 36 states governors don't want the general public especially civil society organizations (CSOs) to know about these monies, hence the secrecy of the payment.
However, approving the disbursement of this sum of over $4b to all the 36 states in naira, President Muhammadu Buhari directed the States Governors to use the monies to settle the civil servants salaries and welfares.

President Goodluck Jonathan handed over a brown envelope to the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari after today's Council of State meeting.

Jonathan gave the envelope to Buhari after a group photograph of the attendees who included all former leaders.

The meeting, which started at 11.30am, ended at 1.30pm.

Today's Council of State meeting was the last presided over by Jonathan as Nigeria's president.

Having lost his re-election bid, Jonathan will be attending subsequent meetings of the Council of State as a former president.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned all the suits challenging the eligibility of presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, till April 22 and 23, 2015.

Justice Adeniyi Ademola fixed the date after he dismissed applications by two intended parties to join the suit as defendants.

‎The judge said the adjournment would affect all the pending suits against Buhari in his court.

Recall that Justice Adeniyi fixed today for ruling after taking arguments from parties on the merit or otherwise of the applications filed by about five people, including a group, the Fiscal and Civil Rights Enlightenment Foundation (FCREF).

Also seeking to be made a party in the suit are a Lagos lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, an APC member in Rivers State, Chukwuma Orchu, Sunusi Musa and Ahmed Maitarki (who said they were delegates at the party’s last presidential primary election).

Patience Jonathan attended the PDP’s women presidential rally in Umuahia, Abia state, as part of her campaign in support of her husband Goodluck Jonathan’s reelection bid.

Alternating between English and vernacular, Mrs Jonathan thanked Abia people for their support of President Jonathan and the PDP in general. She enumerated Jonathan’s major achievements, including

– improvement of maternal health,

– advanced malaria program.

She reaffirmed that President Goodluck is committed to improvement of the social and economic welfare of Nigerians.

“If we have not done well, come out and challenge me! If you vote for Goodluck come March 28, 2015, he will do more. My husband, the president of Nigeria, is ‘talk na do’. He does whatever he says,” Patience Jonathan claimed.

Dame Patience also pointed out that she would never encourage her husband to be a “sit-tight” ruler: ‘’If my husband decides to come back after eight years again, I will drag him inside the house and tell him to allow the younger ones to rule”.

She urged all Nigerians to collect their PVCs to enable them come out en masse and vote for all the PDP candidates.

She used the occasion to comment on the recent defection of Prince Eke Idika, the former senior member of the APC chapter in Abia State and deputy governorship candidate there, to the PDP. Mrs Jonathan described the rival party as “prison party” and maintained that Mr Idika would be “accomodated” within the PDP.

The event at the Umuahia Township Stadium attracted large turnover.

The former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has revealed why the incumbent governor, Ayo Fayose is more desperate than President Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking in an interview with Punch correspondent, on Thursday, Fayemi disclosed that Fayose is a desperate man who is fighting for his life.

The immediate past governor made the statement in a reaction to the audio tape that revealed how the June 2014, Ekiti state governorship election was allegedly rigged by some politicians and top military officials.

“We are taking all the appropriate constitutional steps to ensure that this does not go unpunished. There are soldiers willing and ready at the appropriate time to testify in court beyond Koli,” he said.

He said Fayose is desperate because he is aware that his sins would return to haunt him, hence his disruptive comments and verbal persecution of the All Progressives Congress and its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.

“I should let you know that. He believes that all his atrocities will come back to haunt him. The judges they have beaten up who cannot talk now, the civil servants they have harassed, the solders, even Gen. Momoh should be pitied because he is a victim, he wants promotion. It takes a very tough person to resist the kind of filthy lucre that these people offer,” Fayemi said.

According to him, Fayose is doing what he is doing; including the lies about General Buhari because he knows that the minute the election takes place and a genuine winner emerges, he is as good as history.

“That is why he is doing what he is doing. He is a desperate man; he is even more desperate than Jonathan. He is fighting for his life. He is one of the apostles of interim government,” Fayemi said.

Meanwhile, despite all the verbal attacks against the major opposition presidential candidate, General Buhari, the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said Fayose is not speaking for the party.

Recall that Fayose, recently criticised the presidential candidate of the APC, General Buhari, alleging that he is too weak to rule the country.

Also, Fayose recently described the outbursts by the APC over the possible removal of the INEC chairman, Prof Jega, as “mere comedy”.

President Goodluck Jonathan has said that the Boko Haram insurgents have not killed the over 200 abducted schoolgirls of Government Secondary School Chibok, Borno State.
The president said this early this morning while featuring on an AIT programme tagged Kakaki which was monitored by our correspondent.
"The good news is that the insurgents have not killed them".
The president also assured that Adamawa and Yobe States would be completely liberated from the terrorist group before next week.
He, however, admitted that his government initially underestimated the capacity of the Boko Haram sect.
"At the beginning, we didn't really estimate the capacity of Boko Haram", he said.
Jonathan also said that Nigeria had got between 60 and 65 percent of what was needed to prosecute the war against terrorism.
The president also disclosed that his administration would completely privatise the nation's refineries to ensure efficiency in the oil sector.
While assuring of his government's commitment to resolving the current fuel scarcity, he said the country had to start refining her crude.
He also dismissed the insinuation that the recent reduction of fuel pump price from N97 to N87 was politically motivated, saying it was necessitated by the decline in the global oil price.
He said Nigeria would stabilise in so many sectors in the next four years if he is re-elected.

Breaking: INEC to reprint ballot papers as Court orders inclusion of Young Democratic Party


A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to include the Young Democratic Party (YDP) in lists of its duly registered political parties.

By implication, the INEC would have to reprint new ballot papers for the elections which is three weeks away.

Justice Ahmed Muhammed passed the judgment in Abuja on Wednesday.

The YDP said it has candidates in all positions and ought to be included in the ballot papers which have already been printed.

The party said it fulfilled conditions for registration as contained in Section 78 (4) of the Electoral Act.

2 suicide bombers kill 12 people in Kano, others injured

A few hours after a bomb blast went off in Yobe, another explosion has occurred in Kano.

Two suicide bombers carried out the attack which killed several passengers and hawkers at the Kano Line motor park on Zaria Road in Kano.

The explosion was confirmed by the state Police commissioner, Ibrahim Idris, who disclosed that 12 people died in the attack. Details later

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Sunday boasted that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), “will never be Nigeria president again.”

The governor also challenged the former Head of State to swear by the Holy Quran that he did not visit the hospital in the United Kingdom last week.

Fayose, who spoke through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said, “I wish they can see spiritually what I am talking about that Buhari, despite the hullabaloo will never be president. I predicted my return as Ekiti State governor and I am saying it again that Buhari will never rule Nigeria again.

“After President Goodluck Jonathan, there will be a young element in his late 50s from the North that will be Nigerian president. I want to liken this revelation to the story of Elijah and Elisha. I am the Elijah while my followers are Elisha.”

He said he never wished Buhari dead.

He added, “I owe it a duty to Nigeria and its people to expose the antics of the APC cabal whose only interest is to seize power to further selfish interests.

“Without doubt, it is obvious that members of this cabal in the APC is trying so hard to deceive Nigerians on Buhari’s health status. That is the reason they have been using photoshop pictures to defend their lies on Buhari’s UK trip.

“First, they used a March 5, 2013 picture, claiming that Buhari was taking a walk in London on Thursday. Later they came up with another poorly cropped picture of Buhari with former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

“The same people who lied in September 2012 that they received a gold card invitation to attend the Democratic National Convention in the United States of America are behind the dressing of Buhari in the garment of lies and I challenge Buhari to swear by the Holy Quran that he did not visit hospital in the United Kingdom last week.”

But, a group in the Ekiti State has described Fayose as a “political stalker” whose actions should be viewed as a threat to the life of Buhari.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Mr. Segun Dipe, the Action Group operating within the APC in Ekiti, asked Fayose to tender an unreserved apology for having the general on his death-wish list.

Dipe said, “Everyone should put Fayose on notice how his words and deeds have been threatening the life of General Buhari.

“The indecorous governor is bent on seeing the APC presidential candidate dead before the March 28 presidential election because his party is sure of losing the election, and he feels he will stew for it.

“That a Fayose could be hounding Buhari with death threat is quite unwarranted and unfortunate. He has sent spies after our presidential candidate and may soon start toying with the idea of snipers, that is, if he has not already.

“That Fayose is fraudulent, corrupt, inept, indecorous and uncouth is not in doubt. That he is unambiguous in his wish for Buhari’s death is not in doubt either. What is worrisome to us is why the twice-lucky governor should be trailing the General even beyond the shores of Nigeria, to ensure that his wish against him comes to pass.”

Dipe hinted that his group was aware that Fayose in his alleged desperation to see Buhari dead had travelled to UK just about the same time that Buhari travelled and had been trailing the movement of the General abroad.

He said, “He wants to hold on to power by all means possible and he knows that an integrity-driven person like Buhari as president would clip his wings.

“Our group is calling on all well-meaning persons in Nigeria and across the globe to call Fayose to order as his actions and words amount to not only wishing Buhari dead but driving the General to his death. God forbid.

“The group also calls on all sons and daughters of Ekiti who are desirous of rejecting the toga of indecorous and gluttony, which Fayose has brought on them, to come out enmasse and vote General Buhari in as president come March 28, as well as the candidates presented by APC for all the other political positions at the polls.

“A vote for APC is a vote against Fayose’s indecorous ways and PDP’s clueless impunity.”

The Nigerian military has finally invaded the notorious Sambisa forest base of the terrorist group, Boko Haram.

A statement by the Defence Spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, said a concerted air campaign by the Nigerian Air Force was ongoing in the forest to clear the terrorists from their enclaves.

Mr. Olukolade said Thursday’s air strikes, targeted at the training camps and logistics dumps of the terrorists in Sambisa forests and parts of Gwoza were “highly successful”.

He said a high death rate was recorded on the side of the terrorists while many others were scampering out of the areas invaded by the military.

“Details of casualty will be determined in subsequent phases of the operation. Meanwhile, the strikes continue in other locations of the theatre heralding the advance of troops and other elements of the mission,” Mr. Olukolade said.

The claims could not be independently confirmed.

The Nigerian military has been sternly criticised for not going after Boko Haram militants despite knowing their major bases.

The new strikes will also raise concerns over the safety of over 200 school girls believed to be held in the Sambisa area by the insurgent group since April 14 last year.

The girls were abducted from their hostel at Government Secondary School Chibok in Borno State.

The military had said in the past it was avoiding an all-out battle on the Sambisa enclave for the sake of the girls’ safety.

US President also added: “We are not at war with Islam — we are at war with people who have perverted Islam.”

In his summit comments, Obama quoted the “fair amount of debate in the press and among pundits” about the words that used should be used to “describe and frame this challenge” of violent radicalism.

Groups like the Islamic State, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram “try to portray themselves as religious leaders, holy warriors in defense of Islam,” Obama said, but “we must never accept the premise that they put forward, because it is a lie.”

Obama also said Muslim communities have responsibilities to oppose the abuse of religion by terror organisation like Boko Haram.

As Nigerians wait to go to the polls for the 2015 elections come March 28 and April 11 respectively, the Presidential candidate of The All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari has commended his rival and the incumbent president, Goodluck Jonathan for the first time in a long while.

Speaking in Abuja during the visit of Mr. Kadre Ouedraogo, President of The Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS), General Buhari praised President Jonathan for assuring Nigerians that he will hand over power if he loses in the forthcoming presidential election slated for March 28.

Buhari further assured the delegation of a peaceful atmosphere before, during and after the elections and praised Jonathan for assuring to hand over to whoever emerged winner at the polls.
He said: “The six weeks extension is accommodated in the Constitution for holding elections and INEC has said it has recorded between 75-80 per cent successes in the distribution of the voter cards.

“Mr. President has made very encouraging comments weeks ago by saying he’ll hand over to whoever emerged winner.

“We told our supporters to embrace peace before the accord and even after the signing of the accord we have continued to urge them to show restraint.
