Gross annual or net annual or any of them?

I used net annual income. But gross income may be fine too.

Food evening. Please, I am asking for a friend. Is it gross income or net income that's supposed to be stated on our reference letter? Or either of them is fine?

Annual income is fine.

Can you please list the documents?

For starters, you must get a police clearance cert. from Nigeria.

If you're planning to use any Nigerian work experience, you need to get letter(s) from your employer(s).

If you have degrees from Nigeria which you want to evaluate, then you need to get your university to send your docs to WES too as that could take a while.

hi everyone

1 Does anyone know where I can upload my Ielts result under the supporting document section ? Also Should I attach it with education credentials assessment from WES and upload it under education section?

2 Is it compulsory I upload all my transcripts? Because if I do upload them I will exceed the maximum 4mb document upload limit

Thanks

1. I attached my IELTS and WES docs together with my degree certs and uploaded under Education section. So Yes you can do that.

2. You can reduce the sizes of the PDF. Just use google to search for PDF resizer. Moreover, you can re-scan them with a slightly lower resolution such that the size reduces. In my opinion, is better to upload all of them to avoid stories - that's what I did anyway. I can't say for sure if you can upload some and leave some.

Lol. You guys are dramatic.

Adunnee:

That score is very important. The immigration officer at the port of entry will request for it. Any one that scores less than 5 will be asked to pay some amount of money before he/she can be allowed to enter Canada.

Congratulations. Please I want to know if sinp accepts birth attestation from NPC. and if what you used. Thank you

Timeline

IELTS 1- February 2018
IELTS 2- May 2018
Wifey IELTS- May 2018

At this point after the 2nd IELTS, I realized I needed to complete my post grad degree so as to evaluate my degrees as 2 or more, because with my WES evaluated BSC, CSR will max out at 430, at the time regular EE draws benched at 441. Fast forward to September, SINP revamped their entire PNP system. You now apply via the EOI system instead of the rat race called fastest fingers. Well, wifey’s occupation was in demand. We created an Expression of Interest with score 64. In 2 weeks, We got ITA to SINP. Well, wifey is very meticulous so she jejely packaged, employment offer letter, promotions, salary breakdown, pension, Tax clearance, salary account, a detailed reference letter with both HR and her direct supervisor’s contact details. Infact every and anything you can think of was included. My dear people...We submitted our application to SINP on Nov 2, 2018 and we were nominated Nov, 14 2018. It took SINP 13 days. I still think this is a record!!!

Medicals

Well, at this point we over 980points so ITA Na sure banker, we went ahead and did medicals. We chose IOM Abuja for our medicals. Everything was a breeze till I was told to pee into a container. My people I strained and strained not even a drop. The nurse was begging...Oga pls come out...drink water and try again. Hmmmm...that was how I almost finished the entire gallon on the water dispenser, when I finally peed, my urine was as translucent as water, I had my doubts. I thought the result was show I peed water not urine. Wifey was pregnant at this point, so a protective clothing was wrapped round her tummy for the X-ray. No issues there.

ITA 28 Nov 2018

SINP PNP application is so organized that it directly prepares you for post ITA. All the forms were already on file. So we just populated Post ITA forms and submitted December 3, 2019. But some reason my AOR reads December 4, don’t ask me..Ask CIC. For POF we used Tbills purchased on our joint account. We raised LOE explaining this and we both signed, we also attached the previous Tbills certificate purchased on the account, bank reference letter, account statement. Please note that this over Sabi for POF was almost our undoing. More on this later.

Medical passes/Biometrics
At this point, MEP took about 45 days. Our notification came January 16, and we used VFS Abuja for Biometrics.

Almighty Accra

22 January we raised CSE for VO. lo and behold, Almighty Accra...-My heart sunk. We were hoping for a speedy process so ewifey can have our baby in Canada. With Accra that hope was brutally dashed. I exited some EE groups and stopped visiting NL. I found the AVO group and followed them bumper to bumper. Those guys are the real MVP. Them dey try. My first shock was how they celebrate ADR in the group. You would think someone just collect the PR card...Those days were tough...I ordered for GCMS notes, guess what POF was flagged...POF RR...I was floored...turned out the officer got confused with all the previous certificates attached and all. We should have just attached the present certificate, we didn’t even need to attach account statement as they could always ask for them if need be. I dwill codes to wait for ADR from AVO.

New born addition

Our princess arrived safely in our hot Nigeria instead of cold canny as earlier envisaged. We waited 10days then sent Accra a mail notifying them of our intention to add a dependent. Accra responded after 2 days (April 10)listing the pre-requisites and those must be met in 30days. Meanwhile passport office after capturing our princess then claimed no booklet...wahala...I bombarded them with calls and frequent visits. Those guys no bulge. Las Las after 2 weeks, a friend I met online made some calls and booklet appeared. As I was about to submit that another ADR landed. Accra’s famous 6-salary acct, Updated POF, nomination very, schedule A, pay slips and family change. I hustled the ADR and submitted everything together May 1.

May 10, our baby was added to our application, May 17...Ghost update...May 22nd...PPR

Our application was not perfect, but mercy found us... Everyone else still waiting... surely you will know joy soon...just hang in there...
Congratulations..

Thanks a lot. I will need to follow as described. I appreciate.
I will be writing in about a few weeks from now.

Good luck pal cool. Just to add, as per IELTS Writing, just learn the structure (intro, body paragraph 1, 2, etc.), the expected (commonly used) phrases/keywords for the different essay types as Liz explains, and other notes like word count etc. and you should be fine.

Wish you all the best.

Thanks for the good wishes. I'm grateful.

As per IELTS, I used ielstliz dot com and only that. I bought her advanced writing task 2. I didnt buy any other materials. And honestly I didn't even look at the official IELTS materials.

While it is important to focus on practice tests, I was quite busy that period and had just a few days off to prepare. So I did a 2-3 day crash studying of that blog, and focused more on the question types and how they were structured, rather than just doing practice tests.

I also focused on her tips for listening, so as to reduce the mistakes and keep the focus. Then I did about 3 practice tests plus the short practice tests on her blog.

Thankfully, things turned out fine for me.

Hope that helps.

Thanks

UPDATE:
Please do not drop your email here for any IELTS materials, so as not to mess up the thread with emails everywhere. Thank you.

Haha actually, I kept my funds for 6 months. I didnt want to hear stories. I did the basics - IELTS and WES and kept.

With the socre estimate from the CRS tool, I was quite confident I'll get ITA as soon as I joined the pool, but my POF wouldn't have matured.

So I just chilled until it matured before I submitted my profile.

Thanks very much @ShoeShineGuy for the good wishes and God bless you too wherever thou are. Amen.

I'm curious though as to what transpired between June 2018 (when you already scaled both ECA and IELTS hurdles) and Dec 2018 (when you finally decided to dive in and earned ITA almost a week later). Er.. but then, your PPR gist should address that. No need putting the cart before the.....

Thanks i just did that.
But they said i should present an evidence of the scholarship form ptdf before they could re-issue me an unconditional offer. I gave them a link to ptdf website but they said it is not enough. Any ideas?

the univeristy i chose is University of manchester and the course chosen is 'Advanced process integration and design'

Well, you would need to get that sponsor letter if so. And they can re-issue in a matter of hours.

But for now, do them another email. Tell them you have been shortlisted for funding but may lose out if you don't have a valid offer Of admission.

They (Manchester) typically don't give conditional offers based on funds availability to the best of my knowledge. They give unconditional if you meet the requirements. They are probably insisting since that's the basis they want to use to waive the re-application procedure for you, and they want to be sure.

However, at the very least, tell them to give you a conditional offer with funds availability as the only condition left for you to fulfill.

Do the first suggestion first and if they still refuse. Do the second. But emphasize that you need the letter or you may lose out.

Still, as long as you have the 2016 offer, I believe PTDF would give you your sponsor letter. So you'll still get sorted out.

I have one from University of manchester but 2016.

I guess you didnt defer it. If you had requested a deferral, you wont need to do the full application procedure.

In any case, I suggest you send them an email. Tell them you have funding and im sure they can re-issue that offer but with a different date. You should also mail your supervisor (assuming it is for PhD).
