chy22: Just thinking, why was the lady semi unclad (attempting to rape a homeless boy?)I honestly agree with you. There may be more to this than we know. |
graitobby: Thanks guys for the info. Quick question - resident doctors in UCH are in strike, will a medical report from a state hospital be accepted?
I wish I can give a concrete answer to your question. .but from what I got above, It must be gotten from a teaching hospital or national hospital Abj. @vivi, you are right. The original advert in the newspaper stated plainly that the medical certificate must be obtained from a University Teaching Hospital nationwide or National Hospital, Abuja. @graitobby, what state are you in? Although resident doctors are on strike, Consultants still work. So do visit the teaching hospital where you are and try to see a consultant. That's what I did. wish you luck |
Wow. RIP Mr. Fred. You're great. |
sage_: Where is Dangote? Didn't he attend this one?hahaha..you are crazy.. Happy married life Tiwa |
Boye94: wit dis, dis strike won't end until d case is over....... coolnot cool |

volcano_ash: If I have 3000 pounds, why would I go to UKhahaha |
This is cool. I always wanted to learn french. This is encouraging |
Na wah o. People have various ideas about life. I however think it is not a crime to advice someone if you feel he or she is going in the wrong path. So I do not blame his colleagues for interfering. But they probably shouldn't have put it in the news, as i think this is a personal matter. It's his money. |
Very nice one. |
this is sad o. |
Lilimax: This is a sign of good things to come.True. |
Oyaletor: Pls wats the link for applying?ptdf.cinfores.com |
modash: Anybody short listed from last year should just wait for the examI was shortlisted for this year 2013/2014, so I guess i'll just wait for the aptitude test. Thanks. vivichocs: Hey house, will u advise someone who's still serving to apply? When do u think d test ll be conducted and how reliable is d scholarship ? WIll be passing out in feb..If you are passing out before september 2014, you can scan your nysc ID card and use in place of nysc discharge certificate when filling the application form. I did that last year when I was applying for this year, because I passed out in June this year. So you can do that too. Good luck |
That's some news. Does this mean we should only prepare for the test next year (as in those of us who applied this year and were shortlisted), or we should hope to be re-shortlisted. I hope it is the former. |
0monnakoda: You are the one who is lazy and unthinking. Nigeria cannot afford? $7 Billion over what period 1 week ,1 month? I would rather not have fuel subsidy than the rubbish our Universities churn out much of which is on display on Nairaland. Nigerians spend billions on private universities and foreign ones too. We need to have a debate about HOW university education is funded. Going forward it probably should not be free and students need to pay more realistic fees.Government should decide to privatize many if not all the universities. Apart from corruption there is a lot of waste in our government eg Presidential jets ,Aso rock Feeding budget etc.I agree with you. |

How can I get the books to prepare me for the technical questions in Controls etc. Thanks. |
Odim FO: Or what is the point of giving people false hope? What is the point of collecting 1000 naira from each applicant? Unemployed youths hoping and"hustling" for a better future? Where is all the money? Who is it with? Why has PTDF not deemed it fit to contact anyone or perhaps to email the applicants that the scholarship would be postponed or even refund the money? So many questions.I wonder too my brother. I can only advise everyone to forget about ptdf this year, because it is very unlikely that we will hear from them. |
there has always been the gist of a certain part of the atlantic known as the bermuda triangle that swallows everything (aircraft, ships, etc) which hover or pass around it. And somehow, this may relate to that. |
I remember a time in this country when it was said that about 25% of the national budget goes to the less than 500 nigerians, who make up the house of reps and house of assembly. I wonder what percentage goes to education. ASUU claims most of the demands they are making are demands that had already been approved by the Federal government but had not yet been implemented, hence the reason for the strike. Now, I do not see how a country can pay senators, and honourable members, several millions of naira monthly, for sitting in a chamber and passing bills (bills like child marriage etc), whereas the teachers of our future leaders, are treated like peanuts, with horrible infrastructure. Must there be Strike before the government does something? If a government really wants to improve the state of its economy, it would surely know that EDUCATION, is one of the key points to act on. Most of us attend federal universities and are complaining. What about the state universities who will not even benefit from whatever increment in salary is agreed on, but are only part of the strike in the name of SOLIDARITY? The FG of Nigeria is not ready to sit up and move this country. Lawmakers are only interested in increasing allowances and terms for themselves, so that they could steal as much money as they can. We can only but PRAY for Nigeria, as all this talk would only be read by us (nairalanders). Most would never even get to their ears, much less talk of their hearts. God help Nigeria. |
I don't know bro. they are several suggestions and ideas as to the test date. Assalaffiy: lant PTDF test is on 17th of Aug,any similiar talkThat's the latest. |

i pray so |
I have the same problem. I haven't been able to find a complete solution but for now, I use an ip changing software, when i change my ip to a foreign one, i can access twitter successfully. I suggest you do same. If you need any such software (VPN), let me know. Twitter has released an official statement that it knows that some users are having difficulty accessing the service. So we are not alone. Also, if you try www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com, you will see that it says twitter.com is up (that is, using your normal mtn ip). But if you use, www.downrightnow.com, it says this for twitter.com : POSSIBLE SERVICE DISRUPTION. source: http://thenextweb.com/twitter/2012/10/16/twitter-confirms-some-users-are-having-difficulty-accessing-the-service/ |
@arbitrage,thanks for your post. I just activated internet banking and got my token. I tried to make a buy on aliexpress and i was asked to enter my activation code. I logged on to my account via internet banking, i clicked on the link that said 'generate activation code'. I was asked to enter my card expiry date and token transaction code. However, i keep getting the error 'Invalid card record'. I believe it is like you said, and i'll wait and try during work hours. |
pls send to dabara2004@yahoo.com God bless. |
