Is it sane to pay up to 10million for a job in the naija?...bros gimme 3m, I don jakpa.

Do you all believe hook line & sinker what people post on this faceless forum? if it were so good, why didn't the merchant sell it to his family & friends? Unemployment should not mean gullibility please. 10m for a GT FG job is rather overpriced if there's even any offer like that.

Apparently some jobs are sold but not at such expensive amount.

The commission advertized and got us involved with so much promises and rules and cannot trash our expectations callously. I do not bother if a new process is being procured, i'm going FULL BLAST in the demand that that 2017 award list be made public now that they boldly claim to have made payment. They shld do the right thing. I'm leaving this space for a while to channel my reach for this award list. I pray to comeback victorious.

We have spent scarce resources for this award and can't afford to see a mess being done to our effort.

Some pple came here to test the waters on the no-list narrative and folks were silent cos they felt the timeline is still in their favour.
Well for those that are optimistic abt their chances due to their perfomance in the selection processes, this is not the time to dispair. Would U want to go thru the hassles of admission, prep and logistics for a process that was 95% concluded? I don't think so. The minister said the suspension will be lifted when owed debts are cleared and we should begin in earnest to demand for the award if likely a new process is being procured. What is the concession to us?
We can all see how the collective cries for the payment of debts was tasking but yielded results to a large extent. I'll solicit that current scholars join our campaign in solidarity as we did for them.
They shld'nt score cheap points on our matter. The 2017 award list must not be trashed. It is on us, i repeat solely on our collective effort for the list to come to light. We must not faulter or fail.

Like you rightly put that the commission is a mess in its administration, so will you fold your arms and watch the resources and time you spent for the process go to waste without an attempt to demand for what you rightly know should be?

We can all see the praise singing and campaign propaganda they are now using this nearly conclusive payment to achieve. This system isn't working so we must not give up by letting them have their way without us having a say. I read the news too and the same social media will be used to discredit the falsehood if they don't do right. It is not yet uhuru for the commission as some pple are still being owed.

I had a telephone conversation with one of the scholarship contacts and the person suggested that i make my enquiries by mail to the cordinator and was going to forward the address to me. I hope i can get that email address from anybody who's in regular contact with the cordinator.

The Mail will dwell on these points
1) The commission must not renege on the promises made by the management to sustain this scheme that has given hope to academic oriented Niger Deltans
2) A Lot of resources was expended on logistics/security both by the commission and over 2000 applicants who are also in dismay at the cost of lost admissions,plans,jobs/businesses due to this delay in awards
3) it will amount to total waste of scarce resources if the list isn't release and successful scholars mobilized.
4) Having achieved the payment of owed scholars then all is set for new awards to be done on time to mitigate the problem of logistics for departure that has plagued the scheme. new admissions can be sought on time for award

I got my payment today. For UK students, the commission short-changed us (paid us with the old rate!)..

Why is this so? I've been pensive about this. If the current exchange rate falls less than the rate of the 1st year of the scholarship would they maintain the rate of the first year?.
Is it a policy to maintain the rate of the year when the award was awarded or they jst calculate it as they please?

I troll all of them on twitter; plague their timelines, nothing. I am particularly disappointed in Hon Abike Dabiri, to be honest as she too has gone mute on this issue. I am seriously considering legal action overseas if something is not done as soon as possible - on human rights ground at least.

Weldone to you and others trying. However your voice and a handful of others isn't going to be loud enough to all of us combined. Jst as Abike pretenciously responded due to the level of your shouts others will if it gets louder and firing from all angles. We must not under-estimate the power of social media. Even a top functionary complained with disgust how this problem is becoming embarassing to them so we must not relent.

4) We may have lost much but we can't afford to loose out completely.

so i'll suggest that we all unitedly join the campaign for scholar to be paid / list be released. For as long as these problems remain unresolved, it'll affect our strategic plans for 2018.

Before the electioneering begin in full swing at least lets try and get things done b4 governance end.

The floor is open for timeline suggestions on how to go about tackling these problem. N/B Payment And Award of scholarship in a given period. No VAGUE statements. Thank You

Ladies & Gentlemen, now that we have identified some of our problems can we profer solutions and building a united front?

In 2014, a similar case as now occured until the scholars acted in unison despite the cogs in their wheel of progress that sought to derail their cause. However, the present situation has surpassed our wildest imaginations of how insensitive the current mgt is.
We must (prospective scholars) know that without the financial settlement of owed scholars nothing can be done in our case.
2) Being indifferent on the current issues while others take up the challenge of confronting the devil won't make it any better for you.(if u talk, u die. if u no talk u still die. i'd rather talk & die)
3) "e no concern me" has brought us to where we are. Most of us where mute because the timeline of delay wasn't affecting us until the very obvious starring us in the face.

Shey They've authorised payment? Good, It won't take beyond January 2018 max for scholars to get credited since its not rocket science.
Now pls tell that top source of urs, that they should be ready for a loud and vibrant backlash and media campaign they've never seen if the 2017 list is cancelled.
2018 is a very significant yr in this country if u understand what i mean. Note, the present board is not in the good-books of some prominent pressure groups of our region so they must have sense and handle sensitive issues with fairness. The present outcry is jst a child's play on how loud the wailing will be. We are only being reasonable cos of our owed friends. Except they will never get paid (which is not likely to happen) then they should brace up. Do they love Niger Delta better than we do?

The 2017 Scholarship list is still valid until otherwise stated through an official channel by the commission. Owed Scholars getting credited before the end of 2017 is top agenda after which the awards follow which would likely be next yr.

Thus MNDA has a press briefing scheduled for today in Abuja on issues bothering on the region of which they've cleared their house and coming prepared cos i knw enquiries abt NDDC and its happenings will top discussions.

Those who got media personnel contacts can reach out to them to make enquiries on their behalf.
