i got admission @university of aberdeen with a tuition fee of 15000 pounds then i was opportune to gain their merit scholarship of 3140 pounds and with that they gave me a CAS letter. Aberdeen wasn't my sch of choice @d interviews cos of the tuition fee but If given NDDC scholarship can I switch to Aberdeen and use NDDC stuff to foot d balance?

what if one forfeits his original admission and takes a course in one of the nddc schools (full funding), does it mean one is exempted from the 28days before one can apply for visa??
my reason for saying this is that most schools in the UK are affiliated to the UK embassy and such may grant exemptions.

I am a past recipient of this scholarship and I can tell u that NDDC does not have any affiliation with the UK embassy as getting the visa is entirely up to you.
As regards the TB test, I suggest you book a test at one of the test centers and do it whole waiting .
If the balance of your scholarship stipend is less than the required amount needed for upkeep than I also suggest you have an alternative plan.
I believe the list will be out this week though even people working in the education department have no idea when the list will be released. As of late last week the list was already with the MD for approval so Fi gers crossed

sifo: No one said NDDC is bad we only made comparisons between the quality offered and opportunities available afterwards. My advice for u is to try and interact with previous nddc scholars and scholars from the Institutes I mentioned then draw ur conclusions from that, ur comparison with professional courses in India is completely wrong. I would want to go into details explaining IPS and d rest but that's not necessary here. This gist has derailed the thread enough biko let's go back into info on wen d mysterious invite will come in and TB test and lemme become a silent observer once more.

My gud friend no one is rili out to derail anyone here. We sincerely appreciate ur tremendous contributions so far and as regard the invite any tangible info would be much welcomed rit now cos TIME and the rit INFO is rili of essence....

csimms7: I've been following all what you all have been saying and I have one thing to say to those who said they'd forfeit. That's real weak talk. Balderdash. Rubbish! Forfeit kor forfeit ni! Na lack of information dey kill us for this one country we dey oooo! Let's look at the facts here. As stated the first school in Nigeria to appear amongst the top schools came in at about 3000, all the schools affiliated with the nddc fare way better than that. IPS we are talking about is not a university. It's for professional courses! It's like going to India for a professional course in automation, instrumentation and control that's why it's expensive and their affiliates also. Let's argue here with facts. We are waiting patiently and I pray we all get this then make I see una wey wan forfeit.

I absolutely concur with u dear and i wud say ur indeed factual. i cant imagine me forfeiting.....wetin? I b Niger Deltan and dis is my share of the national cake either sweet or bitter i would grab d NDDC offer enthusiastically if given!!

coolsam123: Hello Dantidote, d truth is dat all u need is a citibank teller showing proof of payment of 21,040 naira into their account (they av a customized teller (IOM) carrying their a/c num in d bank), international passport, a passport photograph and d name and address of ur school. This is ofcourse provided u av an appointment date with them, cos they ll cross check with a list with them. All those attached forms will b given to u there to fill.

Fingertips: Strange. Check again, four documents are attached, instruction sheet, Info sheet, IOM account details And IOM medical form. A completed form is part of the requirements needed to show up for your test.

Fingertips: He booked via email, it's the fastest. No info just write them about getting a Tb test for your uk visa and they will send you some documents, instructions, a form you will print out and fill, account details to make your payment. Cheers.

For me, after booking via mail i only got the date, account details, the bank to make payment and the needed docs to bring along for the test. they no send me form to fill sha....

cabaye: from the information I have gathered so far about this Nddc scholarship program, I learnt they assisted past scholars in obtaining new admission offers as late as 2nd week of September (Nddc affiliated universities especially Coventry which takes about 3 -7 working days to get an offer .its also a school where I think most of us will finally end up).this may also mean that it covers the 28days for the visa. the whole thing will end up in a take it or leave it situation for most successful candidates.

Okies.....our prayers rit now shud b dat out names appear on the damm list then...from the look of this its only evident that a begger has no choice

Benny247: I strongly believe that NDDC have everything under control as regards TB or medical test as well as the Visa processing and every other thing that is required before we travel... They will definitely have MoU with the various schools they are afflicted to as well as the UK embassy.. They may do somethings underground 4 us considering the time factor, even before the list will be released, after all they know those going already. This week is gone, the president is back.. Next week looks very fruitful. #teamoptimistic

DSSHQ: Do you book for TB test without money? NDDC is loaded with tricks.Some people already access to the list and are making plans while some of just hoping. It is well with NDDC.

No money involved in booking...after they give u date, u expected to pay d $130 before coming for the test...u would get d necessary details when they reply u

charlycharly: Why are you guys bothering yourselves? They will release the list at a time most people will not be able to meet up so they can get the money for themselves, una no know how e dey bi? Just do what you have to do, at least book for a TB test date- its very important and just get ready. Activate your faith, its your best bet

Me sef don use faith book and get TB test date...I pray NDDC answers before then
