Goshen360: ^^^^^^^ My brother. Why? Why? Why are you mistaking a factual statement for an account or narration. Erh? Genesis 1:1 was stating a fact that in the beginning Go creating heaven & earth. It has nothing on the heavens & earth you are referring to. It is a FYI. It is a starting point before giving account of the world about to be created for Adam; Man The world is both material, seen & unseen things |
Goshen360: What I meant was, you made reference to "Heaven 1.0". danwo: "HEAVEN" in Genesis 1:1 is kosher (i.e. OK as it is with no -s)@Goshen360 Merci mon frère. Sorry for the late responses - Time has not being an ally when it comes to posting here Remember my earlier posting? Reproduced above, up there? Well, in it, I was intentionally warning that Genesis 1:1 should not be muddled with Genesis 2:4 because I sensed if or when lumped together, their difference(s) and distinction(s) would not be made clear I tried to BOLD only the highlights in your post but managed to virtually bold the entire post because ALL were relevant to the matter at hand. Let's make this known and stick to it. Let's set down the goal post All MY references are based on KJV, unless where otherwise stated OK, that being said, here are my responses to your recent post Goshen360: What I meant was, you made reference to "Heaven 1.0".^^^^^ Yes sir, you "assumed" 100% spot on. Heaven 1.0 is the first version of heaven created or developed and where God resides. Heaven 1.0 is still there as we speak Goshen360: Now my question is, "some" translations have the "heaven" in Genesis 1:1 in singular (without -s),^^^^^ Well those translations are miles wide of the mark. The more the reason I earlier gave warning about Gen 1:1 & Gen 2:4 to not risk muddling up things with them Goshen360: ..... FROM WHERE OUR OWN HEAVENS AND EARTH WAS CREATED FROM,^^^^ Remember the law of order or order law. The positioning of words? Especially in scriptures The positioning of a word(s) in a sentence gives good clues about the importance of that word Word(s) are positioned in key positions in scripture references to give it precedence or prominence. The positioning gives them priority in rank over other words in the sentence, as it were. In Genesis 1:1 the positioning of the words "heaven" & "earth" is obvious and there for all to see: "heaven and earth" is totally different to "earth and heaven" So about ". . .FROM WHERE OUR OWN HEAVENS AND EARTH WAS CREATED FROM" it was created from Genesis 1:3 onwards after Genesis 1:1-2 - "OWN HEAVENS" are a generation of Heaven 1.0 In Genesis 1:1, Heaven was created first before earth before heavens were created after earth in Genesis 1:3 onwards Goshen360: how then did you come to conclusion that the heaven in Genesis 1:1 is referring without -s^^^^^ Since in Genesis 1:1, KJV states heaven with no "-s" that is what am standing by. PS: Dake? I am aware of his writings but havent had the privilege yet to look at any of them. |
Goshen360: Why do you take the "heaven" of Genesis 1:1 to be singular (without -s)^^^ Before I properly respond to the above posting please what does the below mean or better still re-phrase it "and it didn't give account of the heaven from where our own "heavens/earth" was created FROM?" |
Goshen360: Oga Debosky....at least, still have like 3 hours to stay online for today.^^^^ ![]() I don't know how I managed to miss or not see this posting ![]() |
JeSoul: Hey fellas, good to see everyone is doing fine.^^^^ Welcome back Sis . . . mwah! Missed you. Yeah, manmustwac & Goshen360 did their fair bit Both made sure the |
Goshen360: ^^^@Goshen360 Hey, that is my line. Dont poach. I was the first harping about translation blunders or errors See the below snip, the most recent one danwo: @Goshen360 Goshen360: Now, some translates the "HEAVEN" in Genesis 1:1 as PLURAL with -s, while some translates it without -s.@^^^^^^^ "HEAVEN" in Genesis 1:1 is kosher (i.e. OK as it is with no -s) and please dont muddle it up with the heavens in Genesis 2:4 Here is one of the trade secrets for reading the bible, Recognise the law of order, for example "the heaven and the earth" has a different message to "the earth and the heaven" Genesis 1:1 is stating that heaven was made first, followed by making earth. Heaven 1.0, is exactly what it says it is. The number signifies versioning. Heaven can have a number assigned to it, usually in increasing order and corresponding to new developments |
obadiah777: THE PRICE OF GARRI^^^^ You'll get an automatic no contest ban for typing that!!! |
Goshen360: ^^^@Goshen360 Dont forget to give answers to all my questions earlier asked too. Mind you this your practical and intellectual approach arouses a more deserving respect of you from me. I like. 1. What do you understand of the scripture for Genesis 1:1? >> Exactly what is states that in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth 2. What "heaven(s)" is Genesis 1:1 referring to? >> The first generation Heaven; Heaven 1.0 3. What "earth" is Genesis 1:1 also referring to? >> There is only one earth and the earth referred to in Genesis 1.1, is the same earth in Genesis 1:3 onwards |
obadiah777: I OFTEN SEE THESE PHRASES IN THE BIBLE. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE MEANING OF THEM^^^^^ How will this affect . . . . ![]() |
Goshen360: @ danwo and other gap/pre-adamic teachers,@Goshen360 When the difference between earth and world is recognised the coffee would have been smelt Think outside the box, man! God created an Adam world; a world for human beings on Earth. My mouth laughs when anti-Gap theorists claim that God created things that are seen and physical only God in that six days of creation created both seen and unseen things, both physical and unphysical things This is where the world comes in. God created an Adam world with no sin The earth is just a formal name of the world which we live on That world is everything on earth, seen and unseen and created by God. "Welcome to my world" - that is a familiar phrase isnt it? With a helping hand from the serpent, Man has since perverted that world The earth is the Lord's and its fullnes thereof though the devil currently is the prince of this world The world is now plagued with a degrading way of life, abuse of money, power show, unethical human beings etc "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." - Romans 12:2 NLT The Gap Theory poses no danger, once you know how far from the edge of the cliff to go It does not threaten or question the six days of creation narrated from Genesis 1:3 onwards The gap theory is not only on the basis of Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 alone. There are other scriptures hinting the Gap theory The player saves the trump card until end, saves the best, for last. ![]() Bottom line once the Greek to English translations, Hebrew to English translations are properly researched Once the etymology of the certain Hebrew and Greek words used around this subject and related subjects are studied then it will be relaised that there is no cause for panic The gap theory complements the six days creation without any detraction "Bring the whole tithe in to the storehouse . . ." - Malachi 3:10 from the above verse, what actually was a storehouse was startling or shocking revelation for some die-hard tithe fanatics. |
^^^^^^ The detection of caution is overpowering I like the "give it a wide berth" or carefully "walk on eggshells" approach Dont rock the boat opinion(s) a reminiscence of tithe or don't tithe or the like ![]() @truthislight Scriptures will be thrown in, when the time is right. |
obadiah777: so whats your point^^^^ No point, just backing yours with another similar or substitute Adam died spiritually first, before dying physically 930 years later |
aletheia: Satan did not fall before the creation of Adam. This point has been addressed elsewhere in the past.^^^^ If you are shown another scripture would the allegiance change, again? aletheia: Problems with the gap theory:^^^ There are no problems with the gap theory. The "Gap Theory" poses no threat to the 6 days of creation The 6 days of creation is the creation of the Adam world ; humankind world The new physical world was created in 6 days for Man using earth, its surroundings etc. "Where is there time for a gap?" you asked The time for the gap is before time started ticking in Genesis 1:3 With all due respects, my dear sire, you err awfully, because before Adam, there was death. God promised Adam death, God guaranteed Adam death, literally The bible even says the "wages of sin is death" The money paid for sin, death, the reward for sin was in the "safe" kept for a rainy day or a day such as when sin is committed When that singular command was violated/broken death which was alive but dormant got activated. DEATH reared its ugly head and entered the world Therefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: - Roman 5:12 KJV So before Adam was, there was death of animals, there was death of some other kind(s) The diseases etc too that you mentioned though unfortunate & unpleasant are the consequences or aftereffects of a ground that is cursed (i.e. the aftermath of a cursed ground) You are right about "there could not have been a race of men before Adam that died in “Lucifer's flood” Right in the sense that Adam was the first man or human being and so no human beings died in the “Lucifer's flood” The fact remains that the earth and world at that time got destroyed when a flood covered the earth not covering the highest mountains as in Noah's Flood but like in the state captured from Genesis 1:2 onwards aletheia: We must also understand that if Satan sinned and fell before Adam was created. . .^^^^^ At Genesis 1:31 "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." Before the above there were five " . . . and God saw that it was good" for creation but that qualifier eluded Man Collectively every thing as a whole was good. Individually, man? Erm? God must have known something about Man for Him to hold back appending the qualifier after the creation of man as did with other creations |
Goshen360: danwo, mon frère,@Goshen360, Mon cher frère bien-aimé The "elephant in the room" will still be there, waiting. ![]() |
Reyginus: Firstly,I hate it when people quote me verses in place of a rational answer. obadiah777: Jesus fell into temptation and he has Gods spirit. now i know you dont know the word^^^^ ![]() |
Goshen360: @ danwo, mon cher frère@Goshen360, Mon cher frère bien-aimé I understand the worryness and skepticism Please indulge me these questions #1. What does "first of its kind" mean? #2. What does "after its kind" mean? #2b. What is/are difference(s) between #1 and #2? #3. In your own opionion, are #1 and #2 similar, remotely at all that is? #4. Do you agree that translators are not infalliable and the translations are not God inspired like all scripture is? (i.e. translations such as hebrew - english, greek - english, verse numberings, chapter numberings etc) |
The translators though with good intentions are not infallible Make no mistake, Bible translations is not inspired by God like all scripture is. SMH some of the greek - english, hebrew - english translations are crazy. Due diligence. Due diligence. Due diligence. "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth" - 2 Timothy 2:15 ESV "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." - Acts 17:11 KJV |
Goshen360: Bonjour mes chers amis,Unlike you knowing all the Goshen360 earthly family secrets there are some infinite truths you are yet to have the knowledge about Goshen360: 1.About the dinosaurs, are you guys insinuating that these dinosaurs were not destroyed during the flood of Noah?^^^^ The water during the Noah flood remained above the highest mountains for a year before receding. Ask yourself this question, is a year enough to set those fossils preserved animals remains we've so far seen? Dinosaurs? Bitumen? They are partners in crime here. They go way back. Think about it, think how long it takes petrol to form Goshen360: 2.If you say "gap" existed between the first two verse of scriptures and there was a pre-adamic world,^^^^^^ 1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. GAP SCREAMED AND SCREAMING OUT HERE 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1 obscurely hinted the original creation of heaven and earth then from Genesis 1:2 set off talkng about the creation of a WORLD. The physical earth was already in existence at that stage, but experiencing episodes or going through phases of different worlds Another world order is about to start - the world of/for Adam, the time for Adam; Man, has come. God created that world in literal seven days So answering your ". . . will you then agree or mean that Genesis itself does not account for the beginning of the creation" question Genesis 1:1-2 passively accounted that God in the beginning created heaven and earth only The compensation for the lack of enthusiasm was the uninhibited account of how an ensued world was created from Genesis 1:3 onwards In short the sweetener narrated and gave details of how Adam's world came about. Welcome to Adam's world or is it the prince of this world's world. |
Oops! keyboard mishap |
obadiah777: so this is how the conversation between Mary and the 'Man on a message from God' ( angel ) went.^^^^^ SMH "'Man on a message from God' ( angel )" Pretentious rubbish Man - Ermm impotent Abraham and menopaused Sarah, by this time next year you'll have a son Abraham - Yeah Ismael will be my heir Sarah - <sniggering> Man - Abraham, why is your wife laughing now. Don't worry now, the milkman will do the job and the midwife the switch see how simple and yet coded this was too ? ![]() |
When there is no appreciation of the miraculous performed on an impotent Abraham and menopaused Sarah, why should the non-admittance to a truth of the ability of a virgin to birth and produce a desired or intended result be shocking. |
danwo: @Goshen360 Goshen360: God created water first Genesis 1:2. Some say the first thing created was light, Gen. 1:3 but I believe water came before light because the initial earth was originally created in watery form. danwo: #2. On which day did He create your answer in #1 above? Goshen360: It will fall within day one danwo: #3. Since you like scripture validation, back up your answer in #1 above with scripture. Goshen360: I have done that in (1) above. danwo: #4. Do you know all the family secrets? Goshen360: What family you talking about? My immediate earth family or heavenly or what? danwo: #4b. Has your earthly daddy confide in you all the Goshen360 family secrets yet? Goshen360: For my immediate family, I happen to be the first make child of my father so the answer is YES!@Goshen360 Thank you for being a sport. Hmm, light was created first, this is by the admission of and gospel according to Goshen360 Your answer to #1, is your response your final answer? Anything you want to add to your answer to #1?
