^^^^ Video part from 7:34 - 8.06 Hmmm. Watching this space Mrs Jonathan not ill, she’s only resting abroad -PresidencySeptember 4, 2012 by Agency Reporter Patience Jonathanhttps://cdn.punchng.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Patience-Jonathan1.jpgThere was confusion on Monday over the trip of President Goodluck Jonathan’s wife, Patience, to Germany. An online portal, Saharareporters, had reported on Sunday that the wife of the President was being treated for “food poisoning” which she contracted during a visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirate 11 days ago. However, the Presidency, in its reaction on Monday, denied that Mrs Jonathan had been hospitalised for food poisoning. Her spokesman, Ayo Osinlu, confirmed that she had travelled out of the country but denied the rumoured illness. Osinlu said the President’s wife travelled out of the country to take a “moment’s rest”. He, however, did not disclose Mrs Jonathan’s whereabouts. “If you look at her itinerary in August, you would be wondering how she was able to accomplish that. In the course of this week, she will be back home. But remember, it all depends on her plans,” he said. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, who also spoke on the matter, dismissed Mrs Jonathan’s widely reported illness as a rumour. Abati insisted that the story “was a rumour and there is nothing like that”. In its report, Saharareporters had revealed that an air ambulance airlifted the President’s wife to Wisbanden in Germany for emergency medical attention. It added that Patience had been undergoing treatment for about four days. The United States-based Nigerian news portal quoted an unnamed source in the Presidency as saying that Mrs. Jonathan travelled to Dubai after the African First Ladies Summit in Abuja. It also quoted sources in the Presidency as saying that the “emergency airlift departed for Wiesbaden, Germany” but could not confirm if “her treatment was being undertaken in that city.” A national newspaper on Monday had reported that Mrs. Jonathan was being treated at a hospital called Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany. Horst Schmidt Klinik is where the late President Umaru Yar’Adua was hospitalised for kidney-related ailments. However, The PUNCH could not confirm on Monday if Mrs Jonathan was indeed in the hospital. Meanwhile, an aide of the President, who pleaded anonymity, said on Monday that the President had ordered the first couple’s media aides to find a way to inform Nigerians about his wife’s trip and health. It was learnt that Jonathan handed over the directive following the concerns raised over his wife’s alleged ailment. He was said to have told his media team to liaise with his wife’s media team and agree on how to tell Nigerians what really transpired. Following this directive, Abati and Osinlu met. Osinlu later told The PUNCH that they decided to speak on the issue “in order to save ourselves of the stress of responding to the widespread enquiries from our friends in the media one-by-one.” He also said that the report that Patience was airlifted to a German hospital by an air ambulance was not true. But he promised sending a statement which at the time of filing this report at 9pm, he had not sent. http://www.punchng.com/news/mrs-jonathan-not-ill-shes-only-resting-abroad-presidency/ |

Woolly mammoth tooth unearthed by builders in downtown San Francisco is hailed by experts as 'significant find' Archeological find could be 11,000 years old Ten-inch tooth uncovered during a dig for a new public transport centre
By Sara Malm
PUBLISHED: 09:26, 15 September 2012 | UPDATED: 10:52, 15 September 2012The fossilised tooth of a woolly mammoth has been discovered at a building site in San Francisco. The tooth, which still has intact enamel, was dug up by a crane operator during an excavation for a new transit centre in the city. The ten inches long, mud-coloured tooth has been called a ‘significant find’ by local paeleontologists who believe it could be 11,000 years old.The tooth was found at the construction site of the city's new Transbay Transit Centre, a public transport hub being built in downtown San Francisco. It is broken in two and missing a chunk, but is otherwise in relatively good condition. ‘It's a big deal, so we can study it, get some age dates which help us figure out tectonics [and] seismicity like the San Andreas Fault,’ Jim Allen, a palaeontologist and geologist for the transit centre project, said. Other woolly mammoth fossils have been found in the Bay Area, but Mr Allen said the discovery right in the middle of downtown San Francisco - as well as the tooth's surprisingly good condition - was unusual. The tooth is from the same era as fossils found in the La Brea Tar Pits in the Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles — a paleontological gold mine of Ice Age beasts that were trapped by asphalt bubbling upward through cracks and fissures. More than a million bones have been recovered from the ponds. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/09/15/article-0-14FF8988000005DC-414_468x370.jpgExtinct: The woolly mammoth lived during what's called the Pleistocene Epoch, 1.8 million to 11,000 years agoBrandon Valasik, the crane operator who made the discovery on Monday, told the San Francisco Chronicle that he was digging through sand about 110ft down when he noticed what resembled a rock but had an unusual shape and colour. ‘I was excavating using a hammer grab and going through a layer of sand, when suddenly I noticed some strange object that came out,’ he recalled.
‘It looked too perfect to be a rock.’ The transit centre construction site has yielded other treasures, including a gold nugget and artefacts from Irish neighbourhoods which dominated the area in the 19th century. My fellow Christiens please how true is this message,
i was telling a pastor that there were female figures that did worked for God,
i gave him some verses as proofs but He replied me with the above. Please say what you know.
THANK YOU. plappville: Thank you ma sista, i am doing fine thanks thanks for checking on me.
Ur type no many for NL oo LOLOSsS. He is not so clear with his message.
I asked him what are the roles of women in the body of Christ then, i felt i have not been doing the right thing.
I am not suposed to preach to others because i am a woman.
This is where the whole story start from. ^^^ All are called without discrimination Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest Let your women keep silence in the churches?: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law - 1 Corinthians 14:34 KJV 1 Corinthians 14:34 quoted above is another scripture apart from 1 Timothy 2:8-15 quoted below ruined by the ill-informed 8I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 9In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. - 1 Timothy 2:8-15 KJV 1 Corinthians 14:34 is a glaring and obvious rebutting where Paul was repeating the ridiculous the "Pharisees" were implying. The legalists were hiding behind a synagogue law that women should be silent in church. 1 Timothy 2:8-15 is interesting on its own too. The cherry picking is nauseating. If living by verses, then curiously, how much of 1 Timothy 2:8-15 is lived by? 1 Timothy 2:8 makes one wonder how many " men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting" How many men live by verse 8? Pfftt. Anyway, 1 Timothy 2:9-15 initially set off with " women" (i.e. women in general) then at verse 11 got toned down to " woman" (i.e. a matrimonial woman) The dynamics in verses 9-10 were seen suitable or appropriate and so advised the former (i.e. " women") Verses 11-12 however are altogether a different story and matter (i.e. verses 11-12 was an " opportunity-to-add" moment to include the woman (i.e. the matrimonial woman) in Paul's letter/discussion) Where verses 9-10 were advised for a general setup, gathering or church context, verses 11-12 was written with a matrimonial arrangement in mind. This is evident where hinted that the woman (i.e. the matrimonial woman) should not usurp authority over the man (i.e. the matrimonial man) It is important to note that Paul deliberately did not write " the women" but wrote " the woman" " Usurp authority over the man" is actually about a past event which would have been unnecessary if the correct conduct was followed Paul was advising that the woman (i.e. the matrimonial woman) could learn from another woman's mistake; Eve's (i.e. an earlier matrimonial woman) The woman; Eve did not " learn in silence with all subjection" Without authority or right, the woman; Eve took the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil and gave the man; Adam and the man; Adam allowed the woman (i.e. Eve, his wife) to teach him eat the fruit. Verses 11-12 are about the woman in a Godly home and not about women or the woman in a large group, corporate, world etc setting. |

on the above, is one of the reasons I asked you if you have not being studying from Dakes......
one of the things the Gap teachers teaches - That the water of Genesis 1:2 is a flood and it was as a result of judgment from Lucifer's sin.....
That, the bible didn't teach.
That water is just the initial way the earth was first created
and the Hebrew people understood it to be formless.
I don't believe neither do I accept it as flood.....
you may want to share your view so we study together.......
I have learnt that apologetics is not forcing your view/understanding on others
BUT presenting the facts and evidence that will cut beyond ALL contradiction and be consistence throughout the bible. ^^^^ As previously said, Dake, I've heard. His material I havent yet had the priviledge to go over You can shuffle your feet as much as you like and be in denial, the fact remains that there however was a great flow of water or body of moving water, flooding the earth in Genesis 1:2 The bible was not teaching flood but proving a lowdown - a FYI as it were. Making a factual statement with relevant information. The bible at times on matters is silent, sometimes obscure, sometimes narrative " Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God,
so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear" - Hebrews 11:3 Going by the above verse when was " visible" water called into being? The fact and circumstantial evidence in Genesis 1:1 is eyeballing you but you're staring down. |

OLAADEGBU: Bible commentary on Genesis 1:2
"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters" (Genesis 1:2). 1:2 the earth.
In an attempt to accommodate the supposed evolutionary geological ages in Genesis, certain theologians postulated a long gap in time here between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2, in which it was hoped these ages could be pigeon-holed and forgotten as far as Biblical exegesis was concerned. This gap theory, however, requires a worldwide cataclysm at the end of the geological ages, in order to account for the globally inundated and darkened earth described in Genesis 1:2. The cataclysm, in turn, is hypothetically connected with the fall of Lucifer in heaven (Isaiah 14:9-14) and his expulsion to the earth (Ezekiel 28:12-15), though such a cataclysm is nowhere mentioned in Scripture. However, in addition to its obvious contradictions with other important and clear Bible passages (e.g., Genesis 1:31; Exodus 20:11), the gap theory is self-defeating geologically. The geological age system (which is the necessary framework for modern evolutionism) is based entirely on the principle of uniformitarianism, a premise which precludes any such worldwide cataclysm, and requires the interpreting of earth history by the extrapolation of present geological processes into the remote past. The concept of geological ages is based entirely on a uniformitarian explanation of the fossil beds and sedimentary rocks of the earth’s crust, which would all have been destroyed by the postulated pre-Adamic cataclysm. Thus, any attempt to ignore or explain away the supposed great age of the earth by appeal to the gap theory makes an unnecessary and abortive compromise with evolutionism, and displays a lack of understanding of the geological structures and processes to which evolutionists appeal in postulating their long ages. The real answer to the geological ages is not an imaginary pre-Adamic cataclysm, but the very real cataclysm of the Noahic Deluge (see comments on Genesis 6–9), which provides a much better explanation of the fossil beds and sedimentary rocks, eliminating all evidence of geological ages and confirming the Biblical doctrine of recent creation.
Genesis 1:2
1:2 was without form, and void.
The verb “was” in Genesis 1:2 is the regular Hebrew verb of being (hayetha) and does not denote a change of state unless the context so requires. It only rarely is translated “became,” as the gap theory postulates here. Neither does the phrase tohu waw bohu need to mean “ruined and desolated,” as the gap theory requires. The King James translation “without form and void” is the proper meaning.
Genesis 1:2
1:2 was upon the face of the deep.
The universe as first called into existence by Elohim was in elemental existence, still “unformed” and unenergized, not yet ready for habitation, “void” (see notes on Psalm 33:6-9; Proverbs 8:22-31; Isaiah 45:18; II Peter 3:5). It would not be perfect (i.e., finished) until the end of creation week, when God would pronounce it “very good” and “finished” (Genesis 1:31–2:3). The “earth” material was suspended in a matrix of water (the “deep”) completely static and therefore in “darkness.”
Genesis 1:2
1:2 And the Spirit...moved.
However, this condition prevailed only momentarily. Then, the “Spirit” (Hebrew ruach) of “God” (Elohim) proceeded to “move upon the face of the waters” (literally, “vibrate in the presence of the waters”). Waves of gravitational energy and waves of electro-magnetic energy began to pulse forth from the great “Breath” (another meaning of ruach) of God, the Prime Mover of the universe. The unformed “earth” material (Hebrew eretz), as well as the “waters” permeating it (Hebrew shamayim) quickly coalesced into spherical form under the new force of gravity, and the first material body (Planet Earth) had been formed at a point in space.
For more . . . . ^^^^ Let's repeat earlier ducked and dodged questions. How many times was the Earth flooded?
#1. What does "first of its kind" mean? #2. What does "after its kind" mean? #2b. What is/are difference(s) between #1 and #2? #3. In your own opionion, are #1 and #2 similar, remotely at all that is? #4. Do you agree that translators are not infalliable and their translations are not God inspired like all scripture is? (i.e. translations such as hebrew to english, greek to english, verse numberings, chapter numberings etc)Answering the questions will pave way for next question(s) |

frosbel: Gents and Ladies, forget about politics and get well plans on this earth , it ain't gonna work , trust me
Have you heard that saying , 'its gonna get worse before it gets better' !
There is a new world order coming and believe me it is almost here , not the type preached by Alex Jones and co, this new order is the everlasting kingdom of Christ .
Do you want to be part of it, or are you so stuck with the affairs of this temporary life.
Let me take you on a bible tour about this kingdom.
First , let us talk about how this 'coup' will take place .
1. It shall come as destruction
"While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape." - 1 Thessalonians 5:3
2. There will be a might roar
"The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel." - Joel 3:16
3. He shall come with a mighty army
Joel 2:11 The LORD thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty are those who obey his command. The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?
4. He will come with thousands of immortalised saints
"Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones" - Jude 1:14
Secondly let us talk about the reaction of the inhabitants of this worlds political kingdoms
1. They shall wail and lament
"BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen." - Revelation 1:7
2. They shall hide in caves
Revelation 6:15 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
Isaiah 2:19 Men will flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground from dread of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth
3. Suddenly their riches, wealth , beauty , career , investments, etc becomes nothing , totally worthless.
"They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be an unclean thing. Their silver and gold will not be able to save them in the day of the LORD's wrath. They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it, for it has made them stumble into sin." - Ezekiel 7:19
"Look here, you rich people: Weep and groan with anguish because of all the terrible troubles ahead of you." - James 5:1
Proverbs 11:4 Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
Zephaniah 1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the LORD's wrath. In the fire of his jealousy the whole world will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end of all who live in the earth
4. The proud shall me made low
The eyes of the arrogant man will be humbled and the pride of men brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day -Isaiah 2:11
Isaiah 13:11 I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.
5. Jesus shall take control and of the kingdom , the new world order from everlasting to everlasting
" I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." - Daniel 7:13 - 14
"Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this." - Isaiah 9:7
6. The saints ( Jews and Gentiles ) , will reign with Christ forever.
“‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. Goshen360: @ Image123 and danwo (ore odale.....in the Lord )
On the crude oil and natural resources.......
Take a look at this and see if you guys can come up with something:
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2 Kjv
Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: Genesis 49:25 Kjv
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Genesis 7:11 Kjv
by his knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew. Proverbs 3:20 Niv
And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, Deut. 33:13 Kjv
Have any of you guys taken time to study on the "deep" in Genesis 1:2?
I have given scriptures....
try and see if you make anything out of it. @Goshen360Dont play the " Judas Iscariot" card yet because Proverbs 27:17 says " As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend" Obadiah777 too agrees with the above verse - seen Obadiah777 hint it You haven't shown us anything we dont already know

danwo: @Goshen360, Mon cher frère bien-aimé
I understand the worryness and skepticism
Please indulge me these questions
#1. What does "first of its kind" mean? #2. What does "after its kind" mean? #2b. What is/are difference(s) between #1 and #2? #3. In your own opionion, are #1 and #2 similar, remotely at all that is? #4. Do you agree that translators are not infalliable and the translations are not God inspired like all scripture is? (i.e. translations such as hebrew - english, greek - english, verse numberings, chapter numberings etc) Goshen360: 1.About the dinosaurs, are you guys insinuating that these dinosaurs were not destroyed during the flood of Noah? danwo: ^^^^
The water during the Noah flood remained above the highest mountains for a year before receding.
Ask yourself this question, is a year enough to set those fossils preserved animals remains we've so far seen?
Dinosaurs? Bitumen? They are partners in crime here.
They go way back. Think about it, think how long it takes petrol to form Image123: nl's theoloGISTS are still playing here. Goshen which day do you think God created crude oil? Goshen360: Okay bros, make I give you the answer.
Crude oil was created with the initial creation of the earth in Genesis 1:2 and many more thing.
That is why it is called "natural resources".
I can prove it with scriptures if you doubt me or if you want me to prove.
I hope this answers your question. Image123: you mean when the Spirit moved upon the face of the waters,
just thinking He probably spent some while ontop naija.
Anyhow, was the earth created in verse2 or verse1 and is the right verse day1?
thanks Gosh . ^^^^ " Oo ko nyoboro, boro boro, bi obe ewedu tohun tila, evading answering questions asked If not that he is my brother, I would have called him a snake oil salesman. Yeah the Spirit then leap frogged to Libya, Saudi, Alaska etc " That is why it is called "natural resources"" " . . . called "natural resources"" this made my mouth laugh " I can prove it with scriptures if you doubt me or if you want me to prove" Yes ooo, prove it with scripture. Of course, yes, we want you to prove it |

Goshen360: ^^^
Am trying to help you see that the "order" you talked about is*presumed you meant if here still valid.
Heaven was created first before earth.
What heaven then are we talking about in context or what heaven is this account talking about?
Certainly not the abode place of God, if it is the abode place of God.....
why don't we have the record here in Genesis then?
I am trying to help you see that the heaven being referred to in this context is the heaven made in verse 6-8 and later the earth.
It is this heaven that was later "filled" with the galaxies and light bearers.
When you take the "heaven" to mean the abode place of God, you are mistaken and it is out of context.
How can an account claim to write about the heaven an abode place of God and never say anything about it?
It will therefore mean, that is NOT what it's talking about.
Please read other translations and possibly, commentaries to see which heaven Genesis 1:1 is talking about.
That is why I said, the best translation will be the one with -s, plural. ^^^^ Je vous remercie encore une fois mon cher frère, This is not my apologia nor me trying to be polemic for the sake or fun of it I am not defending whatever the " Genesis 1:1-2 on Pre Adamic & Gap Theory" is And he said, I beseech you, show me your glory Ex 33:18 And he said, You can not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. - Ex 33:20 And I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back: but my face shall not be seen - Ex 33:23 Naija says " a ti ibi pelebe, lanti mu oole je" The narrator, Moses, had to start from somewhere. Give him a break . . . Genesis 1:1 was used by Moses to make a factual statement before starting explaining how Adam's world came about Note Adam is interchangeable for Man Genesis 1:1 is a verse to introduce Genesis 1:2 onwards The original text (i.e. lets leave out KJV or translations) did not have heaven with a -s OK. Though you havent answered my previous questions. Here are another set. Did the original hebrew text have -s in heaven for Genesis 1:1? When was earth created? Do you or we know when earth was created? What was created first? Heaven or earth? Do you agree that the order of creation is Heaven 1.0; earth, heaven(s) et al? |
