Where we're at now

The roller-coaster journey continues as the year drags to a close. I lost a new and promising staff to a bank, replaced with a great guy i found here on nairaland. Happy to say on the whole that the whole experience has been a great one. The learning has been immense and the experience unrivaled.

We will be able to close the year with an ARR in the region of thousands of $$. We're finally seeing some great response in our pipeline and 2016 looks promising. We'll be looking to raise a seed round to fan the flames of our growth and grow out our team to deliver a better product and service.

If anyone is thinking of being an entrepreneur in 2016 consider this quote from Elon Musk (one of the greatest entrepreneurs of our time) - “Being an entrepreneur is like eating glass and staring into the abyss of death". I testify to the reality of this quote.

I know a third class Chem graduate who is being paid 500,000 per month for teaching Math. And this person bought a house in Lekki from his PP that pays him more than his salary.

How many Drs can afford to pay rents in Lekki not to talk of buy houses?

You came alone to this world and you should fend for yourselves.
You can wait for one person to come and change your life.

Because Nigerians are Illiterates, Buhari and APC used your foolishness against all of you.

I don't know how a sensible Nigerian will believe:

I will build houses for 40m Nigerians....Thats trillions of DOLLARS.
I will feed school pupils....that's like 5 trillion naira which is above the country's budget.
I will pay every unemployed graduate #5000.
#5000, for doing nothing at all to the economy of the country. That's another trillions again.

At the end, all them fools believed and now, barely 6 months, they are crying.

Study whatever you want, just know where you're going and worry about how to get there cos that's your only problem in life, getting there!!!

i know you people will react to my post, but i never knew you will come to this extent attacking my personalty. Is it a crime to draw your attention to what i saw on media that affects medical profession? Can we say all of those graduates lack innovative skill to be self dependent even when they studied a non professional course like anatomy/physiology? I agree to the fact money shouldn't be the primary factor in choosing a career: but what sense does it make when your certificate does not make you employable? Someone said most bbc nobel award winners are physiologists, of course it's true: but do you know many of them are already holders of mbbs/bds who later pursued physiology in their m.sc? I expected some of you to give the names of at least two people you know; whether your neighbour or akins who made it either in anatomy or physiology without being a doctor or a school tutor? Do you think i'm so daft to be brainwashed by a mere writeup by some so called graduates without myself knowing fully well with experience that they are actually right? If you study either of the courses, does it affect my own life? If you have a good certificate in medical field whereby you earn big income, does it add to my own takehome? Mind you: i can't ask you not to study either, because you are responsible for your own life. I only drew your attention to it, not that i was trying to mislead you. Even if i were to be given either, i will take it: but i will find my way out if unable to cross at 200level or what's the essence of my interest in medicine when i can not impact lives my surgical potential? What is my joy in my certificate when i still have to live at the of mercy preferential policies? Or you think those who take the pain to send me to school: should not reap the fruit of parenthood? Pls stop attacking me guys. I love you all!

Fellow nairalanders I have a little question to ask doctors and student docs in the house this question.
I intend to get back to school to study medicine due to the passion I have for it meanwhile I am working right now but I working seriously on how to drop the job to pursue my dream. I have seen a lot of people who scaled this hurdle and I feel I can do the same. recently I started looking at nursing not that am distracted but I intend going for anaesthetic nursing as I heard from research that anaesthetic nurses are rated almost equally as their doctor counterpart. My question is I have BSc in plant science, if I go for diploma in Nursing, will I be permitted to go for post graduate diploma in Nursing n be able to do MSc in nursing anasthesia with this combination. your response will be highly valued. thank you...

Southern states keep increasing taxes thereby making life unbearable for their residents by means of raising revenue to fund essential projects while the bulk of the Fed allocation goes to the north, with most LGs, states, political offices and govt jobs.
They contribute relatively nothing to the fed coffers. All free money and no taxation whatsoever!
