Helo house, i want to know what it took those big software corporations out there to be established and what it takes to build from the scratch a software company.

@poster,am not disputing the fact that ur daughter is dyslexic as thetfirst poster highlighted but issues like this could be corrected with time and the right supplements,i can recommend a supplement-lecithin+calcium and zinc supplement,a very good combination am 90% sure can help her condition,and she must always have a gud sleep u can try that n see how it goes.

Gud day house,i'm having this issue with my system environment variables,the CLASSPATH system variable is missing,i tried to enter it manually but my system isn't picking up the changes as i notice it from an app. ,i was trying to run on a java derby db application,does anyone how to set this without affecting the system negatively. Thanks

Helo house,does anyone know how one can deploy an embedded SQLite db with a front end application while the db serve as a persistent storage for the data been called up by the front end application for manipulation and processing. Just like the way its bn used in the EZ bible,i dont know if anyone is conversant with the bible software i highlighted. Tanx

@sweet-pawn,it seems u understand what d problem is,to me everyone has hs/her own idea of wat d differences are,to me coding is just an essential part of programming whc can never be done away with,cos after definning all the sys. Architecture nd algorithm,coding is the actually writing phase of the programme "instructions",it all depends on the context within which the two is used eg,"programming codes" n "program codes" can mean 2 different things based on context. I only asked ds question to see different opinions from NLers. Thanx

Php could be a scripting language bt it has most features that java has nd they are good for different things bt as for java web server side scripting language JSP n PHP, JSP stil has a some good handle on scalable enterprise applications whc i dont think could be harnessed using PHP,though they both have their domain of strength,bt i still think Java is going to have a good future due to the open source nature of PHP,pls correct me if am wrong.

Good day house,i need a good informatn on sun java prometric examination fees nd centres in lagos where it could be taken,i've been hearing of NIIT conductn SCJP @ N52k bt i dont know how that could be,cos the internatnal fee is $150,bùt its all a different issue in Nigeria. @sayomarvel,d am through with the icons n splash image,will send them hopefully today.

@sayomarvel,i got d info,i'll have to redesign the icon and d splash image,but as for the splash image,i'll use d macromedia suite to design it. Hopefully by tuesday i'll send them 2 u. I also a CRUD app i designed 4dt purpose on the netbeans IDE but its better 2use urs since the embedded db has bn integrated into d app. Thanks alot for the help.

Helo house,i nid help on this system error (microsoft visual C++ runtime error) i installed a software on my system but when i loaded the program,it issues a dialogue box with a message "unspecified error" followed by send report notice but the program run fine on windows 7 but am using windows XP, What cud be the source of this error

@fayimora,u did great. Dont let the poster's attitude discourage n more so try to check poster's intonation before trying to fix their problem many of them out there are not ready to learn but just find a quick fixes whc goes along way to wreck them.

Is there any need for a server-side that connects clients to d back-end since we tot its a desktop application,that resides on the local host.

@sayo,in regards to d SQL db u talked abt, yesterday,i tot u wanted to use a flat file for d backend,bt if its going to be an embedded db what about the insertn of d questions into db,is there any backend client that will access d DB to insert d questions and d options,in regards to d icon nd splash image,do u have any software to publish the icon image to an .ico format.

hello house, issues like coding and programming has always been an issue of controversy on this forum, but i want to ask and i know this will be useful for the young minds out there who are just coming into the world of software programming. what is the difference between "programming" and "coding" ?. Are they not the same thing? if not then what is the relationship,

@sayomarvel,tanx alot,actually i av a jar-exe file converter nd installer creator if i av all d class files, but all the same i can still learn frm ur angle of doing things,u really inspired me more on programming.

in regards to the question u asked yesterday concerning the GUI, actually the client is one and the back end is another thing but the one i sent to you i mean the one i designed with the cardlayout is the one i wanted to handle the front-end and incorporate the logic directly into the front end but it seems the client is going to be too thick, and may be slow in its operations due to the redrawing of the GUI at every clicking of "next" or "previous", i ve tried to implement the design on the netbeans but its some how difficult to implement if one doesnt understand the basics of java cos that netbeans is another platform on its own. if the client logic has to change then the back-end will also change, as regards to the answers u profer then concerning this same Q & A issue, the object serialization and the MVC model which some one told me to use, the learning curve of those logics is quite steep and implementing them will usually provide different exceptions that is why i had to drop it and get more info on networking and jdbc.

this is interesting, one thing that makes me see the beautiful side of java is that its quite applicable in almost every aspect of programming, which PHP has not been able to cover,

if the api is out so many peolpe will so much be interested but MTN should have something like despite all the years of their existence in the telecommunications industry.

This is becoming interesting,as for d datafile,is there any constraint on the editing of it due 2 difficulty level n users' choice of subject part integrated on d client side though i think it depends on formatting of d datafile,i once thought of using an xml data file formatting but due to the bottle-neck i experienced, i had 2 hold on till i have d parsers(Xerces & XOM/SAX) implementation i editted d classpath env. Variable,bt d system is not picking up d changes bt i hd 2save it for another day so i can update myself dn come @it again.
