what's this crap this guy has written? Oh! u would have felt better if she had rejected the offers and endorsement, I sense jealousy more in your tone than anything. Have u asked ur brilliant self why she is hawking bread on the streets? is it her fault that the political class have decided to deliberately impoverish the masses? Born again first class Students are now Yahoo boys, that quiet and decent girl is now a part time LovePeddler! guess why? after series of interviews with no luck, no money for business and after learning a craft,no money to setup! So when such flukes happen ,u expect people to say no and say..my labor will bring me wealth, when u drank garri last nite? U are a funny person, there is no sense in your write up,just jealousy! when Jesus wanted to pay his Tax, he got it from a fish, when he wanted to ride in to Jerusalem, he just went and took a Donkey..he didn't say,let me go and work first! Life is dynamic in nature..it seems you are sworn to the conventional thinking, a permanent victim of circumstance. |
Nairaland General › Re: Police Officer In Ibadan Helps Accident Victim by DAPMAN601: 7:02am On Feb 16, 2016 |
BEEGOLD797: Kind-hearted Police Officer In Ibadan
Yesterday i was on my way to meet up with an urgent appointment when i ran into an accident scene. An okada man just hit a little girl that was hawking on the road along Dugbe. I stop and rushed down to the scene to help carry the girl to a hospital people gather there the girl was bleeding serious from the deep cut she had on her forehead while the okada man too was Languishing in pains as he had dislocation on his arm and also bleeding. I told people standing that we sould take the girl to a hospital but we will need a police man to follow us or report in order to avoid police wahala, so a man joined me and we rush to Iyaganku police station we report the case and they call one of their officer and he quickly follow us to the accident scene, but getting there we could not see the girl again we were told by people around the scene that the girl has been taken to Jericho hospital. At that point I said to myself at least i have tried i should quickly be going to meet up with my appointment, but this police officer said the most strange thing that i v ever heard from a police officer mouth he said "please my brother go and turn and lets go to the hospital they might need money" i was stun and surprise that a police officer could say this, i have to quickly drive down to make a up turn.
We got to the hospital and saw the girl just laid on the bench and soaked in pool of her blood without anybody attending to her, the officer went in and asked the nurses and doctor why the girl is not attended to they said they will need money to buy the necessary materials to treat her, the officer said get me the list of the items i will pay for it, to my surprise this officer went to their cashier and paid for everything and immediately the nurses and doctor started treating the girl. He drop his number with them and told them if they still need anything they should call him that he has to quickly go back to the office his attention is needed. We left the hospital and i drop them off, while i was coming back from my appointment coincidentally i met the officer on the way going back to the hospital i just told him to come in so we could both check the girl in the hospital again because he said the doctor called him that the mother of the girl is around.
We got there and the doctor said they have taken care of the girl but most still come for some treatment for like 1/2weeks he now ask the mother hope she will bring the girl for treatment the mother said she would have love to but she doesn't have money, to my surprise this officer went back to the doctor and told him to give him the bill for the 2weeks treatment and this officer paid for it again and even went to d pharmacy there to buy the drugs they prescribe for the girl. I was like wao is this man a policer officer? For once i was proud of Nigeria Police Officer.
I collected his number and ask of his name and he told me he is SUPOL BILLY JOSEPH DT1 IYANGAKUN POLICE STATION ibadan.
Kudos to this officer if only we could have people like him in the force Nigeria could have been a better place for all. I am truly proud of him that's why I have to post these on this forum for us to appreciate the good ones among our officers.
Oga u just allow the Man pay for everything back to back? u no hold ur wallet?how about u sharing the bill with the Police Man? at least u have a Car ,u probably earn more than him.Charity begins at home! |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Why Entrepreneurship Is Not The Solution To Unemployment In Nigeria by DAPMAN601: 3:10pm On Jan 24, 2016 |
Charism: Entrepreneurship seems to be the order of the day today, the press glorifies it, government officials put lots of emphasis on it as the only way out of poverty, its even a compulsory course for all university students. NYSC is all about it, from your afternoon lectures in camp, to your SAEED. But is it really worth it? Are they telling us the truth, or is it mere propaganda by politicians to give excuses for their failure? Daily we are bombarded by happy ending stories of people who made it by starting up their business, we are told to emulate the likes of Dangote, Otedola, mike Adenuga. But the bitter truth is that not everyone will make it like Dangote. As a matter of fact the chances of Success is Very rare. People who make it are the lucky ones, lucky in the sense that the have opportunities that others never had or will never have which they harnessed to their advantage. Opportunities like capital, good location, skills, business climate, experience e.t.c. These variable are not things you have control over. Take for example Dangote started his business with just #500,000 (a huge amount of money during the 70's) given to him by his uncle Dantata (one of the richest men in nigeria at that time) who also groomed him in the tricks of business management. There are many people who have beautiful business plans out there, but no capital to fund them. Even when the capital is available, you don't any experience about the business climate of the business you are venturing into, its like a blind man crossing the highway unaided. The truth of the matter is that not everyone is meant to be entreperneurs, if you believe in the determination, nothing-can-stop-me mantra, you might probably end up with a small food-stuff shop/kiosk business, or like the road side akara seller whose income would not be enough for you to start a family. If it were that easy, then our proffesors of business administration in our universitys, would have been top business moguls by now. Truth be told, our politicians need to sit up! And make economic policies to would encourage investment and growth. If the economy is favourable, both entrepreneurs and employees, would be better-off. Oga,I believe u have a company that will consume the 3 batches of NYSC graduates yearly? or what are u saying! I think u have a job that has given u the audacity to talk abi? what would u recommend that a graduate that has attended several interviews with no luck for straight one year do? if u don't have a solution to this reserve ur comments abeg ! u obviously cannot assess the hopeless situation of unemployment in country comprehensively ! |

Dear Olayinka, I found your write up rather interesting as u really know how to express urself well with words, and should consider it as a career in future. Having said that, nothing in life is perfect , there is always a form of disability stopping one from achieving heart desires. Never look down on ur self, u never can tell what this young lady is struggling with as well, perhaps she needs company very badly. Make a move, start visiting ur Aunty's shop, buy some snacks and drinks during lunch time when going, and offer her some getting there. Talk generally, u might not really like as much as u thought after spending time with her, if u enjoyed her company, request for her no. make sure its d whatsap one, am sure u can take it from here. It is important to perceive her disposition towards u b4 confessing ur feelings, make sure she is a kind person b4 proceeding, then take her out. Please get hearing aids, it will help u much.Good luck. |

Either way #Godwin# have u got no education? Did Nigeria start drilling oil in 1914? Do u not know that this same ewedu u jeer about, was used to feed ur fore fathers before discovery of oil, which has led us to shambles |

@Op, if u are truly honest with this ur post, then ur girlfriend is ill behaved! what difference does it make, who sits where? plus, ur sister was already there, creating a scene was unnecessary. Therefore, she lacks ability to ignore minor things. Be smart in ur choice of who u marry if u don't intend to become an Island as it is obvious u will be deserted by friends and family when u marry. shaking my head!! |

The retired General must have gone senile, by bringing irrelevant facts up at this hour.He is the real coward by not revealing this after the War, for proper Military disciplinary actions, yet he did not remember when Obasanjo was president? HE IS THE DEFINITION OF A COWARD!! If you say Obasanjo was not tactically sound that year I believe his activities as a President have shown us otherwise, he has become an Oracle Jonathan has to compulsorily support. I suggest to Gen. Alabi to remain in the oblivion he has always been. |
