It is not a fresh comment, the Iranian FM has said the Strait of Hormuz is not closed but to enemy nations but because of fear those ships could not pass.
The ships are not just passing, Japan has just reached an agreement with Iran to allow its ships through, To pass through the Strait, the ships have turn on AIS( Automatic Identification System) on. It is very easy for Iran to disrupt it without closing it .

Iran's position as not changed on the Strait of Hormuz, from day one, in fact Iran does not need to close the Strait of Hormuz in order to disrupt it. No warning has being adhered to. Iran foreign minister has being speaking on X since the past week that the Strait of Hormuz is open. Even taking warships to the Strait of Hormuz to secure passage wont work it is suicidal. Once NATO is involved, the US will chicken out .

As it stands, I won't be surprised if the Gulf nations throw the US out of their countries, as it is clear that the US is very incapable of protecting them...

Furthermore, the US attacking Iran through the Gulf states shows Putin knows exactly what he is doing stopping Ukraine from joining NATO, thus serving as a base for the US and NATO to attack it in the future...

Putin will rather nuke Ukraine than allow it join NATO... And China will now rather nuke Taiwan than continue to have such a close neighbour being a US base....and this Iran-US war has made most of us completely understand why..

This is not the first time the US will be disgraced in the international scene, in fact i have never seen any military mission where the US had a clear decisive victory, they will just loose troops, spend money for years, wage costly wars at the end they get frustrated, they pull out . From the Bay of Pigs Invasion which turned Fidel Castro into an international hero, to the Vietnam war to the Iran- Iraq war, to the Iraq war, and Aghanistan and the Battle of Mogadishu, the US has being disgraced several times over .

Based on the cost of this war to the US as analysed, that $200 billion will last just 10 days, US wage costly wars, they will still have to go back to congress, to approve another supplementary budget, it makes no difference. The US shouldn't even think about taking over Kharg Island, it is suicidal for the global economy. Japan was the aggressor then in World war 11, but who is the aggressor now ? There is no basis for comparison between Iran and Japan.

Iran cannot surrender like that, this is a war of aggression. Iran never ask for this war, it was forced on it and it was a gross miscalculation. In this war, Iran has nothing to loose, in fact the Gulf allies and the US has more to loose in this war than Iran, If the gulf allies start bombing Iran, who will they bomb?, anything left to bomb? Or they will start to bomb civilians, the gulf states will review their security alliance with the US, and determine whether that alliance has really protected them during this conflict.

Actually, Iran does not need nuclear weapons, they have great scientists, they have mastered a lot of technologies, Isreal can still be dealt with without nuclear weapons, they should try and build their airforce, maintaining their decentralized mosaic defense strategy and master assymetric warfare. War is not just about bombardment, but the strategy to fight to it to point of victory, i.e having a definite endgame.

When Trump began seeking alliance to reopen the Strait, Iranians (including the Nigerian Chapter) mocked him for it, suggesting that America was less too powerful to see it reopened.

But what many failed to undertake is that the US will not do for others what others ought to do, or at least help do. America will not have these countries sit back and watch as if they too are unaffected by the closure while the US alone fights for something that affects global economy. Never.

America is a leader, it leads the way for others to follow, or act, or strike. Which is why if Iranians fail to take back their country, the US will leave them to it.

It is a lie, if the US has its way it will invade Iran, to effect regime change but they are weighing options and risks, and they may still invade if they see that there is no uprising.
