SportsRe: Tribute To Arsene Wenger, Arsenal Manager (1996-2018) by daraghdave: 6:05pm On Apr 20, 2018
My Fellow Arsenal Fans,

Do not Jubilate yet.

Wenger is not the problem. Just as Leicester thought Ranieri was the problem and as Chelsea thought Mourinho was the problem. Even as some Nigerians thought Jonathan leaving Aso rock will mark the end of our troubles, and that landed us in even bigger trouble.

I say to you all, be prepared for some stormy season ahead. It may not last, but it will surely come.
PoliticsRe: PDP Lists Names Of APC Looters (See Full List) by daraghdave: 11:47pm On Mar 30, 2018
All this fight because of 2019... na wao...

The simple truth is that in a normal country, a Buhari stands zero chance of winning a reelection in 2019. But as it stands, make I no deceive you, it will take a big miracle for him to lose in 2019. Even if he loses, who will take over? Fayose/Wike/Atiku/Secondus abi whohuh That will be catastrophic. In the words of OBJ, we need a 3rd force in Nigeria. But this will take a revolution to make it happen. The kind of revolution that will be championed by young men and ladies. Men who wouldnt sell their conscience for "a plate of food". Whose minds have been thoroughly refined. Above all, Men and Women who fear GOD
PoliticsRe: 2018 Budget: Buhari, Osinbajo To Spend N1.3 Billion On Travelling by daraghdave: 4:37pm On Nov 17, 2017
AnodaIT:
Domestic trip where the only thing they spend money is fuel for the Presidential jet

They stay at state government presidential lounge and move about in state vehicles, eat state food and even wear state clothes

The same state government will be spending 50m to host Mr President

I'm just tired of this country, who get free visa to Guam?
you don't have to be bitter about this... Leadership comes with benefits, and there is nothing immoral about it. Remember how you wished to be class captain back in primary school just so you could enjoy the special privileges... Yeaaah... That's it.
BusinessRe: Top Tech Startups In Nigeria by daraghdave: 7:41am On Oct 07, 2017
simiolu1:
While I agree with majority of the companies you have there, please remove Jobberman from the list; it simply does not belong there.

Rather than include Jobberman, I would include Flutterwave--founded by Iyinoluwa Aboyeji and co, flutterwave is Africa's Stripe. Apart from having payment solutions built in house like Barter, flutterwave also powers other payment solutions like Kudi.ai and many more. In fact, their API is so extensible, a lot of people in the payments solution business would prefer to build on it rather than building from scratch. Iyin used to be a co-founder at Andela before he left to start Flutterwave. In the less than 2 years of its existence, Flutterwave has processed over $1B in transactions.

https://techpoint.ng/2017/08/01/flutterwave-raises-10-million-dollars/

While I agree that ToLet.com.ng is growing, I would rather put Paystack up there than ToLet. Paystack was founded by Shola and was the first African company to be funded by Y Combinator. If you don't know YC, please use Google. Some months ago, they crossed processing over N1B monthly. Paystack has also integrated its solution with Shopify and its growing popularity amongst Nigerian merchants is due to its ease of use and very low transaction cost. Paystack charges 1.5% for each transaction it processes and N100 for every payment above N1,500 or N2,500 (I am not sure which one). If you don't think this is a big deal, compare it to the 30% Google and Apple charge to use their payment infrastructure. Did I also mention that their API is sweet to use?

https://blog.paystack.com/the-road-to-1-billion-in-monthly-transaction-volume-at-paystack-2f0ca4b6edbb

Well, this is just my opinion and you can agree or disagree with it.
This one you are mentioning payment processors... are you a banker?

LordAdam:
Prepare for more heartbreak.

It's IPOB vs Buhari in New York tomorrow.

Then we'd see how long before the Army rescinds its unconstitutional proclamation. Buratai and his cohorts will explain to the Senate who made the DHQ a Federal High Court to declare a group a terrorist organization.

The problem with you illiterate folks is that you always jump the gun. Then are humbled repeatedly.

Absolutely No comment! I Wish u well with your peaceful agitation.

EducationRe: 120 Cut-off Mark Is A Trap, My Advice To Those Seeking Admission by daraghdave: 2:34pm On Aug 24, 2017
Punctual:
Jamb has set its cut-off mark but universities have not set theirs and they won't release their cut-off mark until after conducting their post-utme or screening.
The line I quoted above is not correct! The schools will first fix their base cut-off mark, only those who met that cut-off mark can write their post UTME. For instance, whilst jamb base cutoff mark had always remained at 180, UNIBEN, UI, OAU etc only invites candidates who scored 200 and above in JAMB to register for post Utme. So if you have 170 for instance, no hope of writing post UME. However, I believe private universities and some state universities will benefit more from this reduction, since they'll have more candidates trooping in. Which means, many candidates will buy change of institution form, thereby further enriching JAMB.
PoliticsRe: What APC Did To Abuse GEJ - Reno Omokri Shares Throwback Photos by daraghdave: 12:41pm On Aug 24, 2017
We must strongly condemn all that happened "On every side" during the 2015 general election, I think its time to move on. This Buhari Vs Jonathan narrative is becoming boring everyday. Believe it or not, Jonathan can never be president of this country again and I doubt if Buhari will. Jonathan has played his part, posterity will judge him for both the Good and the Bad. Our duty now as citizens of this great country is to hold the current president accountable to deliver on at least half of the promises they made. In doing so, we should be responsible and civilized. Reno should just take some Chill pill. cool

let's wait for the video recording

until then all fingers are crossed

.
Even if he releases a video recording, haters of PMB will call for forensic experts. They'll say it is photoshop. Even if he arrives the country, they'll say its a ghost, especially if he wears white kaftan, they'll say its only ghosts that wear white.
