As for the problem we are facing in the South which houses all the tribes there altogether, we are all at fault. You know why my dear Igbo bro and sisters? We allowed those bad belle British to place their arrogant puppet (The North) on us as ruler in exchange for what we wanted at all cost (INDEPENDENCE). During the 1940s and 1950s we Yorubas and you Igbos were in forefront of the fight for independence from Britain. We both wanted an independent nigeria to be organized into several small states so that the conservative North could not dominate the country. Northern leaders however fearful that independence would mean political and economic domination by we more Westernized and Highly Knowledgeable elites in the South altogether, preferred the perpetuation of British rule. As a condition for accepting independence, the Northern leaders demanded that the country continue to be divided into three regions with the North HAVING A CLEAR MAJORITY. Yoruba and Igbo leaders, super anxious to obtain an independent country at all costs, ACCEPTED THIS VENOMLIKE DEMANDS OF THE NORTHERN LEADERS. You see our lives now. Baba Awo and Baba Zik caused this for us all in the south! Those northerners up till date do not have second thought about their arrogance as it clearly shows in the ongoing National Conference where couple of days ago, one oloriburuku Aboki from Kano told a Southern rep to Shut up and even further DEMMANDS THE ARREST OF the southerner for raising an important issue as if he is a criminal!!! OMG!!! The northerners do not believe that what goes around will always come around and in this earth, gravity will always prevail over anything thrown into the air.
