A Nigerian soldier told me he earned N36,000 per month in 2014, and bought 4 bags of rice from his town at N7,000 each and still got N8,000 to run expenses for the month but today, he is paid N90,000 and he can only afford a bag of rice. Na so, I begin to pity them.

So the soldier didn’t get promoted since 2014? For him to still be earning minimum wages.

The poster is living in the past. Car dealers and most people are now buying non accident, modern Petrol Engines and EVs from China with very low untampered mileage mostly less than 40,000 verifiable Odometer reading.

They usually send steel frame/chassis of accident cars for recycling.

People think it is that huge a money. But No it isn't. Apart from few states like Lagos and Abuja. The rest will use it to pay salaries with little or nothing else remaining for critical infrastructure and the likes

The best is having true federalism with a percentage being sent to the federal
government.


How much are the state government spending on salary? Even with their excesses. Some state dont spend up to 3BN for salary.
We need states that can stand on their own as they need the money most and not sharing Peanuts every now and then

P.S. I am not saying the Govornors too are not thieves,but most of them have their hands tied already
