abiodunalasa: Don't panic Dear...they will have your size in Mammi Market if you can't find it outside. Even if they don't on first check, you can place a special order and they will bring it within a couple of days...probably for an extra cost! Those shoes are totally worth it especially for muddy places. But use your normal trainers for PT if you want to protect your poor feet from high impact activities. Just wear rubbers for everyday waka about! Thank me later |

Adesuwag: Naaa...I mean from blogs and nairaland, etc...everyone writing their own two cents. I had to do online registration ooo...and then a physical interview/verification at Abuja (had to be Abuja...smh)...and then wait for camp a month later. Long process but quite straightforward. |

Dindook: You dont seem to be confident in the answers LogoDWhiz and Adesuwag have given you regarding copies to take. Hunny, dont panic ok They have copiers in camp if you run out. I am sure you dont need 10 though. If you are feeling weird about it, just take a max of 5 copies. You can always keep a couple of copies for memories. 1 Like |

Adesuwag: School ke...I found out all my information online oooo...I swear I might as well have carried a photocopying machine along with me the way they were going. They also made it sound like a do or die affair if you ever ran out of copies. No body mentioned that there were photocopiers in mammi market and that the costs were very reasonable. A bunch of Scare mongers! |

fargon: Hey Foreign Student To be honest, no one asked me for my school ID. All they asked for were my passports and Degree Certificate. The process might have changed now but I very much doubt it. Make sure you have your passport that contains your study visa etc, Bsc certificate, statement of result, etc...But I had to do physical verification in Abuja at the time (compulsory for foreign graduates). Not sure what the procedure is now. If it makes you feel better, you can get a police report and an affidavit just to be on the safe side. Better to have it than not. Sorry about the N1,800. Dont worry. You'll get your first allowance during the second week so that should cheer your up Goodluck. |

Adesuwag: :DI remember making like 10-20 copies of everything and carrying it around on registration day. As you know, paper weighs a ton, so it was not very comfortable on top of that...rain was now falling like no man's business. In the end, I only used about 2 or 3 copies. Chai, the thing pained me shaaa. Lmao |
NYSC / Re: Your NYSC Questions Answered by Darkchocolate(f): 8:54pm On Nov 09, 2016 |
cutiem: Well...According to NYSC, your PPA is meant to provide you with accommodation or a suitable allowance to find said accommodation. Unfortunately, not many places will provide you with place to lay your head and they will still pay you peanuts. They are often not held accountable. So the best thing to do is to seek out one of those Christian/Catholic Fellowship Houses. They offer very cheap accommodation to those that really need it or their members. They also get pretty filled up quickly so suck up to them whilst in camp. However, be sure to ask your PPA if they can consider providing you with accommodation, especially if it is a school! No harm in asking!!! Find/Make friends that you can possibly rent an accommodation with later on after camp. Believe it or not, majority of people are probably in the same boat as you and would be quite willing to share especially if you are a pleasant person. So be nice!!! |

Why do I get the feeling that this is not real. I don't think this is how a real fire victim looks. For burns that appear that extreme...there are no blisters or white skin, ...more like contusions.... and where did he get the cuts on his chest area from?! Also His eyelids look untouched .. I wish him a quick recovery if this is real sha. And the person shouting "get the fire extinguisher" is carrying a camera and taking pictures... Seriously |
Travel / Re: How Do I Pay For International Flights Tickets? by Darkchocolate(f): 10:32pm On Jul 18, 2016 |
smithsydny: You would normally get some sort of reference number to enable you pay in a bank. You could also get their account number and bank designations to help you pay online via ebanking or in person, you can use your naira MasterCard or you can use PayPal (if the option is there). |
