BuddhaPalm:

Jesu!

So what are the signs that someone is not interested in you?

Ignoring you I'd suppose.

Every normal person who has been a relationship and no longer wants to be in a relationship would often tell the other person to stop contacting them. Or to move on with their lives whilst they move on with theirs. But to just simply ignore a girlfriend (or bf) and respond to her periodically in the positive is a bit misleading, don't you think?
Especially for a 17/18year old! We are talking about a teenager. She was barely an adult. People that age often need things spelt out in black and white.

Remember ...ranging hormones and all...maximum infuation stage...

So he should have been very clear and made it crystal that he no longer wanted the relationship. There is nothing in the email that informs me that he drew a defined line so yes...it could be argued that ignoring someone who is clearly infuatued with you (or responding once in a while) is an act of 'keeping them sweet' and still making them think you are interested.

I'm sure some grown as3 guys still get this kinda treatment from girls they are trying to 'chyke'but don't know he has already been friendzoned. She doesn't tell him either as she wants to keep him as 'backup'!!! Ever heard of this before?! I'm sure you have. You don't think its a form of control?

Y'all should remember this was a teenager writing this (at the time). An infatuated teenager....nonetheless

I see some form of 'Stockholm syndrome' where the victim feels almost on the side of the abuser/attacker. Prolonged Abuse victims are often able to be abused due to the love or supposed love the have for their abuser. They often remain attached to the abuser emotionally even after having gone through unthinkable horrors...why else would a woman battered blue and black keep going back to her abusive husband.

Think about it!

****
Besides. Even if she is lying about the rape (which I highly doubt), wasn't she 17years when they slept together (which he has admitted)...is that not illegal here...or at least in 2008? (Unless of course you are married to Sanusi or Senator Yerima!) ...It becomes rape by default for him regardless of whether she consented or not.

The emails are obviously selective. She made reference to him accusing her of lying and being unfaithful and flirting with his friends. He obviously hasn't posted those emails.

He behaviour in the emails he posted are also classic abuser bevaiour where he has clearly lost his physical 'control' over the girl (as she was in the US) and he resorted to psycohological control (by constantly refusing to respond to her or being 'cold')....and making her admit all faults. He better get great lawyers sha.

BTW: Just because her mum was aware of the relationship doesn't mean she wasn't abused. Some of our sisters and mothers are in an abusive relationship currently, but how many do we actually know! Smiley faces on instagram and cute Facebook messages go a long way to disguise turmoil.

Please is there any grave consequence for going to camp a day late. Like camp for stream II Batch B opens 25th but one wants to go on 26th. Is there any consequence for that?

No massive consequence except Triple registration stress

I highly doubt it. ...but if you say so.

choice of states work. SomeOne will only miss his/her choice of states as a result of either of the following:

1. if he or she pick more than one state from a geo-political zone.

2. If only one state is picked.

3. If the states picked are occupied i.e when there is romour that some states are no longer available for selection. If someone pick them when they eventually resurface, you might not be posted there.

Thanks for the good work @Dark chocolate. My question relates to; The issue of choosing from 3 states. Can one chose a state from his geopolitical zone and probably as much as two states from the same zone? I would really appreciate ur answer.

I believe you can choose any state you like as long as its available. Choosing a state does not by no means guarantee you being posted there. Its probably all a Russ by NYSC to make people think they have some sort of influence in where to serve when they probably don't. ..except by God or man-made connections obviously!!! grin
Goodluck though

Minister of Health, this is the kind of questions you should have been asking on Batch A16 thread so that any response you get can be beneficial to others but you rather choose to walk away.
By the way, you will have to print your call up letter online only when you pay the #3000 fee else you will have it from your skul

Ah ah...why are you chasing him away naa...other people are benefiting from it being here too

Please I am in stream but couldn't meet up with registration. What can I do to follow stream 2

Stream 2 is not a backup for people who couldn't register for stream 1. Think of it as being the other half of people who couldn't get into camp due to numbers. If you were meant to be in stream 1 and you didn't register, unfortunately you will be deferred to the next batch.

To be on the safe side, go to secretariat and ask if it is possible to join stream 2.

You'll probably have a better chance of walking through the eye of a needle but never say never. Anything is possible. See how much connections you can make during your camp and utilise it.

My worries still remain the age 30 yrs and above disqualification. I clocked 30yrs last month and am so much interested in going for service. What are your takes on this issue Any hope of making come February/March with the age ish
Thanks in anticipation...

Please read NYSC website on exemption rules. If your first degree was obtained whilst you were below 30, you are eligible for nysc at anyage. If not, you can apply for exemption.

Yes...you have to wake up by 3am to shower. That s the time most people. wake up. You can always wait till after PT but water may have run out by then.

Showering is whenever you have free time..

Hostels in Lagos was 26 per room.

I'm getting a bit worried. I'm a foreign student and was posted to Imo. I uploaded two O level results to cover the 5 credits in two sitting thingy. But the problem is that one is GCE while the other is NECO. I hope it's OK to combine GCE with NECO.

Don't worry, I was in the same situation. Its ok to combined. Just look at it as two different exam bodies.
