This thread made me remembered a lady I met about two months ago who I think was cursed with stinginess, lack of awareness and complaints.

Despite the fact that she was a working class like myself, earning well too, her 5 naira won't leave her hand. In fact, to spend on herself was a problem, tell her to buy you a stuff while coming, she wouldn't until you make a transfer despite knowing that you still gonna give her the money.

She asks unreasonable questions, I mean out of point questions, that was the first thing I disliked about her, in my mind I was questioning her sanity, if we go on outing, she'd always complain about how bad the fast foods taste, yet she can't and wouldn't cook. Her place was like junkyard, I suspected she could be on some drugs.

I cut her off the moment I was sick & I asked her to buy me somethings on her way to my place, and she feint forgetfulness till she showed in my apartment to get the cash, now I dislike her more than anything, I hardly respond to her texts & she's been begging to get back to me, I simply told her my wife is in the country now lol.

My mum is at her home, content and very comfortable. She has the purest soul, and I wish she could live forever. I get emotional whenever I see my grandma, who’s nearly 90 now. She struggles to walk, her once-vibrant beauty is fading, and she often forgets things. Strangely, I’m the only grandchild she still recognizes by both voice and appearance, even though she sometimes has trouble recognizing her own children when they visit.

The thought of my mum reaching that age one day worries me, old age is bittersweet man.

There are little visible signs of aging on my mum, and I’m so concerned about it.

Omoh naso an old coursemate texted me over the weekend on FB, man asked for my contact & I sent him. This guy was an A student and part of the few who I thought should be living well in Nigeria or probably advancing his career abroad.

I value your advice & contribution to this thread today, I made a few calls, and they were all happy I did. I also called my girlfriend and told her I didn't mean to break up with her. She was happy I put a call across, and we made peace together.

It's a good thing you have identify your problems and know you have a lot to do on yourself. Release yourself first and see everything in this life as vanity. Make friends with people above and below your class so you can have a balance, while doing this call yourself to order each time your weakness want to rare it's ugly head.
