Phones › Re: Are You Seeing This Ad On Opera Mini Too? by Darkseid(m): 8:14pm On Oct 18, 2018 |
Premiumwriter: so they sold the thing to some chinko guys? No wonder.
Just wish I could find a browser that can save pages like opera Mini. That's the only reason why I'm still using it. Most browsers do save web pages, you can try 'via browser'. It's very fast and light weight. |
Phones › Re: Are You Seeing This Ad On Opera Mini Too? by Darkseid(m): 4:10pm On Oct 18, 2018 |
Opera mini has almost been useless since it was sold to the Chinese. The ads are from opera itself; isn't it ironic for a browser that claims to block ads from other websites but forces us to view theirs. |

Business › Re: Online Vs Offline Store: Who Is Winning The Retail War? by Darkseid(m): 1:23pm On Oct 16, 2018 |
In this part of the world there is no need for comparison. If you run an online only store, you'll still need to run around to distribute your products to customers; just imagine how much that would cost for transportation unlike an offline business owner who can simply advertise and have people coming to him instead.
Even as big as Jumia is, with all the money they spend on adverts, a high percentage of Nigerians still don't trust them let alone you that is just starting. The best way is to have an offline store with an online presence. |

If a child can risk his school fees to gambling, there's a very high probality that the 25m won't survive up to two years in his hands. 25m or not, that child is very irresponsible and needs a psychiatric checkup. |

kodded: gone are those days when you come to nairaland to expand your knowledge, now all what you get from Nairaland are celebrity's gossip and Mumu stories from twitter That's what the new generation Nigerians want, most people don't care about learning and I guess it's the only way to keep the website alive. I miss the old Nairaland. |

Nice one OP. Things like this don't make it to the front page, but if the OP had included almost naked pictures of Nigerian celebrities, it would be in page 20 by now. Nairaland is a clear reflection of Nigerians; most of us only care about things that would never add any value to our lives. |

Education › Re: 7 Things All Parents Should Know Before Enrolling A Child In Nigerian Schools by Darkseid(m): 7:44pm On Oct 09, 2018 |
That number two is so annoying. Though I'm not a teacher, it still hurts me when I hear about the things teachers go through in Nigeria. My cousin teaches in a school where the students pay almost 200k but her salary is about 50k, any day she goes a minute late, they'll deduct it from her salary. |
