barcaboi: odongunyan. .....giving it left over is not advisable because of onions.....pls be careful with it.....lemme recommend fish feed...buy a kilo (350/400)..ask 4 aller aqua or coppens...mix wt d indomie after boiling it.....pls hope its not d normal noodles we eat...if it is, better buy indomie remnants wch is cheaper and if u wanna use d normal noodles, don't add d source..... Its not the normal indomie w eat. It is formulated indomie mix for dogs. Can I get the fish feed in Sabo? Please, send me ur whatsapp number. |

Dear Petlander,
My friend CY (7 months) Lhasa has not been eating since I brought him back home.
It happened that around September I was moving to a new house. So I took him to my wife brother's house for convenience.
I brought him home like a month ago and I noticed he's not been eating well... That every morning I have to throw away the remaining food (Indomie mix mixed with beef chunk can food).
My friend has really lost weight and I am very worried.
Please, petlander family, what can I do. |

engrkenny: I have been shying away from posting a reply on here since the topic surfaced earlier today, having somewhat found myself at this same crossroad since passing out of nysc two months ago, I didn't feel worthy to claim to have answers to the concerns raised by those two brothers. Albeit, mine tends to be a matter of ambivalence at the moment, wouldn't want to talk about myself here tho.
My two pence... True life story...
Last two days, I found myself inside a klimanjaro fast food, after a hot and usually exhaustive aptitude test somewhere in the southern part of the country, trying to cool off. Somewhere on the south wall of the restaurant had a board hanging, with a caption "OUR STORY" a short write up about how the klimanjaro most of us used to impress babes those days back in school was a brainchild of a few young Nigerians and bla bla, I bent down and asked myself, so why spend close to 5k on transport and almost sustained a hip dislocation on terrible roads just to sit for another frustration in the guise of a recruitment test? Coincidentally just this same week a cousin of mine quit her IT job at a local fast food place, her reason....stress, guess what, she works in the account section, on probing further she revealed this people make a subtle 900k a day, and it's just one of their many outlets, I smiled and told her she wouldn't understand, she's still in school and would definitely get cash for all her needs including hairdo by September.
Summary of my long story.......I have decided, no more job tests, no more unsolicited cv submissions, and don't mistake me, I don't despise salary jobs, I'll gladly accept to grow working for someone else, but am no longer going to beg for it. I join my voice to that of many young and knowledgeable young people out there to ask......hw can with all my numeracy, all my computer skills, all my analytical skills, good command of English, I am to be put through scorn in the name of recruitment and I have to be grateful if I get one at last?
I have decided to explore my inner self, does it mean with all I know I can't solve any of the problems I join every other person to complain about everyday? There must be something I can do to make some cash and invest same into acquiring some real hands on technical skills, which has always been my passion, while relying totally on God, the giver of all things.
Any like minded youngsters should start developing same mentality too, no matter how difficult that seems. God bless us all. . |

Richal20: Dear, the truth is that we Nigerians we hate business apart from the igbos others hate business bcuz of laziness and they thought that biz is for illiterates. See lemme tell you somethin if u bcum an entrepreneur you will never regret it and you will be the boss of your own and help the govt in creating job opportunities ( dangote, bill gate, warren buffet, emeka offor, innosin motors, and all the richest men in the world today are entrepreneurs) so do involve in business than to die looking for job when we know that we graduate more than 1 million people per year so how many job opportunities is available. My fellow youths lets think,,, as for me after school na biz and investment as igbo man wey i be,,,, gbagam ? . |

kolokolobi: How old is the dog? What was it's temperament like before this change? Did you take it to a very new experience, place, sound etc. Is there a member of the family that it's fond of that's no longer around. Did you or any one in family physically abuse or verbally attack another person in its presence? Was it also physically or emotionally abused? Did it loose it's position in the pack as in a new pet or even any present pet move up above its place in hierarchy? Do you know a rule in the pack that it might have broken like stealing of food or messing up an area or just picking the tissue role messing up the convenience area. And is now scared you'd find out. Just a few questions to ponder on. Urinating under tension could be medical or emotional. This sounds more of tension than medical even though I don't know how to confirm the medical side. DISCLAIMER : I'M NO VET, DOG SPECIALIST OR WHISPERER. I JUST LOVE DOGS. Thanks for your wonderful piece to ponder on. I have been thinking seriously but could not place it on anything. He was a normal dog that obey instructions before the change. The only thing is that he doesn't like eating/sharing food. So I keep his food separate. |

Toks2008: That is where you are myopic.
Life is network itself and even the job you suffer to get is all about networking.
The problem with many Nigerians is that they see network business as a get rich quick thing and that is where they miss it totally.
MLM or networking is taught in Harvard university and it is indeed a legal and formidable business. You just need the right attitude.
For instance the one i have on my signature is about raising substantial money for various purposes and its absolutely rewarding but when i tell people that within a year they could earn close to 800k or 1m with zero capital they are quick to say one year is too long and i always shake my head for them.
Nigeria youths will forever remain enslaved to the Just Over Broke(JOB) syndrome until they start thinking outside the box. God bless you |

[quote author=temb post=36250473]I recently just concluded my nysc this July and have since been trying to secure a job...Now I have been sending many applications since February but still no luck...
The question now is that if I acquire a masters degree, would that guarantee me a job in Nigeria...or everything is based on connection, because I am really confused. don't know whether I should use the little money I saved up during my nysc to pursue masters or I should keep on the job hunt.....
I would appreciate good advice from experienced people here and lastly I graduated with a 2.2 in the dept of metallu |
