Sports / Ike Uche Replies Keshi- You Are A Liar by DARock29: 11:22am On Sep 04, 2014
Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche has denied the accusation that he demanded an apology from Stephen Keshi before he would agree to return to the Super Eagles.

Uche was dropped from the Nigeria squad to the Brazil 2014 World Cup by Keshi after the striker and the coach fell out.

But Keshi claimed he would have recalled the former Getafe star for the AFCON qualifiers against Congo and South Africa but for the player’s demands.

However, Uche has insisted he is always ready to play for his country without any conditions.

“It’s an honour to play for Nigeria,” Uche tweeted on Wednesday night. “I don’t expect to be begged or given special treatment. I’m available when/if considered for selection.”

The Eagles face Congo in Calabar on Saturday and South Africa in Cape Town next Sunday.
Politics / Re: Nigerian Who May Become First Black British PM by DARock29: 1:49pm On Aug 22, 2014
i know this will someday happen but not in this present day and age, government is racially institutionalized. See how popular the EPL is but one could hardly find a Black manager or in the FA not talk about ruling the nation. Most kids are taught at home and then grow up here with the idea that they are superior to the black man, it will take generations and time to change this mentality, and that is even if it will ever get addressed.

Sports / Colombian Sues Fifa Over World Cup Refereeing by DARock29: 3:42pm On Aug 14, 2014
A Colombian lawyer is suing Fifa for 1bn Euros for moral damages caused by the refereeing at the World Cup.

74-year-old Aurelio Jimenez claims he was taken to hospital with cardiac and respiratory problems as a result of Colombia's 2-1 defeat to Brazil in the quarter-final - a match in which Colombian defender Mario Yepes had a goal disallowed and James Rodriguez was booked.

Jimenez says: "I decided to sue Fifa because in the World Cup there were many wrongdoings related to referees who damaged many countries , among them the Colombia team that suffered the corruption of referee Antonio Velasco Carballo, who annulled a fair goal of Mario Alberto Yepes.

"I felt very bad, I was heartbroken, my cardiac rhythm was altered and my relatives took me to the Emergency Room at the Hospital. I was surrounded by my grandchildren who were crying a lot."

Culture / Re: Having Visitors Without Prior Notice: Your View by DARock29: 4:12pm On Aug 06, 2014
Well thank God for telecoms today, i wonder how it was like back in the days when people couldn't call to say they were coming to visit, and on getting there the person is not at home and you have to wait the whole day for them to come back because it's urgent. The funny one is the guy who always shows up un-announced when its food time. Thank God for techonology!!
