olorogun1: i am so grateful to God almighty that my uk visa application was succesful though i don't believe in prayer over visas,if our country is good no one will be desperate to leave. i stated in my application that my budgetted expenses for the 14days trip is 2m and the visa was granted.no relatives in uk,will stay in hotel.
i am writing these maybe it can help others in their applications and also help the ones refused in their reviews.
i intend to travel dec14,though the visa starts from october i'll appreciate suggestions from the ogas in the house on how to arrange and package myself in these areas----airline/ticket,transportations,location to choose and places to visit.so the journey could be a memorable one. thanks You intended to travel dec 14, pls when did you submit your visa application ? I’m 100% sure you can only submit an application 3months before you travelling date. |

boss1401: They said NO right of appeal or administrative review, do you advice I chill out a bit and reapply later? I was to attend my younger brother graduation which is far gone in July anyway. I have my mum and all siblings who are British by birth in UK, im the only one born in naija. I don't know if there are other type of visa category suitable for me besides Family visit. Thank you everyone for the love. If your mum is British citizen by birth, you should be a British citizen too. Are you sure your mum is a British citizen by birth? If she is she should apply for a British passport for you. You need to read more about right to a British citizenship, google how to be a British citizen. All the rules conditions will come up and see if you meet the requirements. Please follow this up, don’t waste your golden opportunity. Your siblings won’t count and your parents will only count if you are under 18. See attached doc

See attached doc and read it, once they know you have many members of your family in UK, they would believe you wanna go join them and it would be easy for you to fight for family right to stay in UK. With this they will just pick irrelevant points to refuse someone. How come you are not giving right of appeal for family visit ? That’s strange.

boss1401: Thank you for the response, unlucky for I was refused. Did they give you right of appeal ? Under human right/right to family under article 8 of immigration rules, You should be given right of appeal or administrative review, this is a family visit and not tourist visa that doesn’t have right of appeal. These people tried to cancel appeal for all visits so that they can be refusing anyhow. Reason they limit family to just husband wife children parents and grandparents. Sister brother uncle cousin not under family anymore. |

Lexy1234: Hi justwise and all,
please I need your input on this. I would be staying with my brother in the UK when I visit and he would provide accommodation and feeding for me. My question now is this, on the form where it says is anybody else paying for your trip, do I say yes and say he would just be providing accommodation and feeding or I say no and include the fact that he is taking care of accommodation and feeding in the invitation letter he sends and also in my cover letter.
Please your your urgent response is appreciated. Say no nobody is paying, you are the sponsor. Your brother will state it in the IV that he’s gonna offer you accommodation and feeding, that is just like support not sponsor. You are sponsoring yourself. |

zakmus: Thank you so much for your analyses Yes he didn't supply sufficient documents to me In my part I submitted -Employment letter -employment confirmation letter -leave letter -introduction letter -work I.D -marriage certificate, my son birth certificate and family pictures When you wanna reapply get these docs from him British passport date page Proof of accommodation e.g mortgage docs or tenancy agreement Utility bills e.g electricity/gas or water or phone bills, council tax bill Invitation letter |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Darvick: 10:21pm On Aug 23, 2019 |
zakmus: My refusal today First you didn’t provide enough docs from your sponsor e.g proof of sponsor’s accommodation in UK. Secondly, from the ECO point of view you only provided payslip and bank statement and this made the ECO to doubt your employment. Did you include work appointment letter, introduction letter, work ID etc Have helped a friend with a similar case, you have a strong case here. Get sufficient docs from your sponsor, I do understand some sponsors do feel reluctant to give out some personal docs. The ECO believes if truly the sponsor is a family, he or she should trust you with his docs. Reason the ECO stated that he doubted your relationship with the sponsor as a family. My advice - reapply get all docs from sponsor, provide enough docs relating to your employment, make sure your salary is reflecting in your bank statement, no lump payment in your account and no huge withdrawal. You could make the next visit Xmas holiday Good luck |

NanaOne1: I have responded to your email. I want to share the entire sequence/details of what we did for sisters through the Judicial review process to challenge her visitors visa application. I will compile and share so that everyone get an idea what it is about when. I will post it later
God being soo good she received a call from UK Home Office yesterday that they av re-assessed her application and that she should take her passport to the British embassy. She went there this morning and they embossed the visa in her passport without her having to leave her passport with them. God has been indeed good
Nana Wow this is a good news to her, congrats |

obiz0819: So Madam, please how do you advise I cure this perceived mistake/confusion? In making a reapplication, Do I 1.Remove my additional income, 2. Reduce my proposed budget, 3. How soon can I make a reapplication? @MrsDaniels, a sister isn’t a strong family tie. Under the visa application, sister doesn’t fall under family anymore. Because your brother was lucky to get UK visa doesn’t mean everyone is gonna be lucky the same way. I never said its not possible, my conclusion is base on negative impact and I clearly stated there that coz someone refused UK Canada visas doesn't mean he or she can’t get UK visa. Please read to understand before writing. |

Le obiz0819: Warm greetings to everyone here, I have been a silent reader on this platform and I carefully observed comments and observations from this platform which I used during my UK Visa application process. However, I received my application today and unfortunately, the application was rejected (reasons attached).
Please note that: 1. My budget for the proposed trip for 5 days was N400k (flight, hostel, tours and light shopping)- I was surprised the ECO stated that I was planning to spend over 5 times of my income. Biko is 5x200k equal to 400k ?
1.1 My monthly income is 200K, paid in USD then I convert it directly from USD Salary Account to my Naira Account 1.2 My Month expenses in 70K but there are some months I don't use my Salary at all due to the fact that I get travel bonuses and other incomes from freelance research jobs, which are OK to cover my expenses for that month and I stated this clearly on my Cover Letter
2. I earn my salary in USD-( I provided my salary bank statements with a closing balance of a little over 500 USD)
3. My Savings Account had a closing balance of N1.2M
4. Provided a cover letter explaining my intent to travel, huge cash lodgements on my account early this year which was traced to my end of the year bonus, I work freelance- doing research for people, I even quoted a link to my profile with over 8k visits on a popular research website
5. I'm single though
6. Travelled to South Africa on vacation some two years ago on my old passport( Though I scanned and uploaded the pages as evidence of travel history)
7. I have been denied visas for US and Canada- which I declared on my visa application
8. Please I would like to re-apply but would need your sincere opinions on my mistake(s)
Thank you. Trust me you did very well on your application, the red flags on your application are Firstly you got a dependant your sister Secondly you have been refused by US and Canada recently As ECO first thing that will come to his or her mind is you desperately wanna leave Nigeria ASAP, therefore the ECO will find excuse to deny you. Look at it yourself it’s obvious that your cost isn’t 5times your salary as the ECO claimed. This platform can help and mess you up, if everyone starts disclosing all info, only a few like 10% will get visa lol. The fact is don’t lie or make up things on your application and dont fake anything but be smart about what would have negative impact on your application. Come on now you were refused by Canada US and expected to easily get a UK visa, your chance is slim. I don’t mean someone refused by US Canada can’t get UK visa o My advice is Wait 1-2yrs and reapply don’t put dependant, build up more ties like family (wife and kids) and properties. Also let your reason for visit to be more genuine like attending graduation naming wedding etc Good luck and all the best. |

giselle237: Yes it’s possible with the ‘Keep my passport’ service. When the decision is made whether you were granted or rejected you would be asked to submit your passport and then you’ll either receive a refusal letter or visa vignette. Check TLS website for the price of this service You can do keep my passport at extra cost |

Justblow: Please I need to ask this question on behalf of a friend, as I don't want to rely on my judgment alone, so I need the house contribution on this.
A friend wants to travel, and is disposable income is 130k and he is planning to spend 300k on his trip for ten days. Accommodation, feeding taken care of by sponsor in the UK.
Now, he wants to know, if the ECO won't turn him down, since his spending is 40k over is two months salary.
Please any one with such experience?
Many thanks Not spending more than 2months salary rule isn’t 100% right, family ties, properties, good job and savings and importance of the visit really matter. |

Farrm22: I did my bometric on the 20th of may first time uk tourist visa applicant ....more day 90days after bometric I haven't hear from ukvi yet... I made a call across to them some weeks back and I was told decision Has not been made yet on my application ....now I'm confused on this whole issues... I need an advice from the house on what to do next... justwise and the guru in the house make una help me look at my case.... Most visit visas is 2-3weeks max to get dispatched or concluded email , if the originality of some applicants docs is doubted by an ECO, the ECO could decide to put it through investigation, that’s one possible reason it could take that long. If all confirmed with positive investigation, trust me the chances of the applicant getting the visa is very high. No ECO would delay an application for 90 days for no genuine reason, it doesn’t matter if it’s a busy period or not. 2-3weeks max 98% do get dispatched or concluded email. Hope you get good news soon, good luck |

deybholar: Hello everyone. My visa expires on the 16th of October and I intend to travel between 23rd September and 7th October. I intend to spend 2 weeks. Will this pose a problem at the POE? Thank you. No You are fine but expect to get more questions |

owo12: Thank you all for your response am very grateful but who can advise me what exactly document or letter to provide. They ask questions at POE but I told them I decided to have enough rest that is why I stayed so long and they allowed me for second time. Writing a letter isn’t a problem but what you wanna tell ECO about your 15months stay its what is important, people only give legal advice here. You just have to be smart for yourself. Well you didn’t breach the immigration law so you should be alright. TBH I don’t think they do ask how long you stayed in previous travel, think the form only asks you how long you wanna stay for the proposed travel. What matters is you are back and you didn’t overstayed. Not your first time application, you should know the docs you need to submit. Good luck |

canalarge101: September 11th , on hotel 100k 100k like £220 pound for 14days probably 15per night for 14days, you can’t find £15 per night hotel anywhere in London. You can get a hostel, where 3-5 people will be in the room. Alternative is getting a home owner with a spare or shared room. At POE you still need to present your accommodation docs or only if you are staying with someone. If you need hotel you have to increase your budget to £50 per night at least, London is very expensive. If you don’t have budget for hotel, Don’t you have family and friends you can stay with ? |

owo12: Hi everyone Please i need your advice and what am going to do to be able to grant another two years uk visa. Have been two years visa which expired April 2019. During my visit I stayed up to five months on each trip to UK which I traveled for three time during my last two years visa. Now am intend to apply for another two years visa but the problem is that i stayed up to 5 months on my each trip. Please what can do or document to prepare for to be able to grant another visa. Have taken two years visa twice. Please kindly help with any usef Wow 15 months within 2yrs and you ain’t questioned at POE. Well ECO will only know how long you stayed if you have departure and arrival stamps on your passport. Some people do avoid the actual date stamps if they have overstayed, only you know your situation. Also I hope you ain’t stamped at UK airport at any point? You gonna need a very strong convincing reason to say to the ECO why you stayed that long, well nothing is in impossible. You could be lucky the ECO won’t pay attention to it. Wish you luck with a good convincing genuine reason you gonna give the ECO |
