I am always enthused by tech-based startups. It has been my attraction right from an early age.

I had the privilege of working for an organization for 3+ years before I quit. Then it took me another 2 years to fully understand that to become successful in life, your "hustle" must be centered around your passion. Take it or leave it. And my passion is tech. So far, I have launched several minuscule ideas and a lot of them have been successful. 2015/16, I initiated a thread here for contractors and it got an amazing 50,000+ views and hundreds of comments within the first 6 weeks. A platform was launched afterward which solved the problem of the tiny bottlenecks contractors in Nigeria faces. It helped hundreds of folks. Though I left it for other ventures (working on reviving it though), it was a slam dunk.

2016, I start a resume writing/career help platform online (website) and till date, it has helped thousands of folks get their career journey right! It's still highly functional and is currently the top resume writing platform in Nigeria (ask Google).

2017, I started a freelancing system where I collate jobs from several sources and get freelancers employed. Listing career achievements in your CV cannot be overemphasized. Till date many of us don't understand its relevance.

The career achievements you list on your CV totally varies in accordance to your profession. It is very important you get it right!

- If you are a sales executive searching for a sales/marketing job, the kind of career achievements recruiters want to see on your CV are sales targets you have met, volumes of sales you have championed, sales processes/software/channels you have mastered, regions you have covered, etc.

- If you are a project manager, recruiters want to see how many projects you have participated in, how many projects you have supervised to completion and if you beat the completion deadline, amount of funds you have managed for an entire project. e.g. can you supervise a project with a budget of N100 million or more?

- If you are an HR executive, recruiters want to read how many staff you have worked with, how many workers you helped interview, how much have you worked with in Payroll, what kind of policies you have helped prepared or enforced, etc.

Your CV is the only document standing between you and that job interview. If you prepare it right, you WILL get called.

I hardly comment on most topics because I feel a lot of folks really need to go out there and see what is going on in the world of online business.

Making money online has to do with knowing the right thing to do. In 2016, I set up a website that raked in over 500k in less than 5 months of being operational. Nairaland is so full of people who believe affiliate marketing, Fiverr, or CPA are the only ways of making money online. It pisses me off and weakens me to see these set people who refuse to explore other gamut and spectrums of online businesses.

Those two are the some of the biggest money spinners on the internet.

There's hardly anything 30k will do on the internet after cancelling out those.

You are totally wrong my friend. Making money online isn't about affiliate marketing or CPA. Not everyone is cut out for those line of businesses.

Cases:
Mr Toba makes a killing running Whogohost with over 30,000 domains hosted. He has an office with series of staff (including official cars). This is web hosting and not affiliate marketing.

Mark Essien makes a truckload of money running hotels dot ng. Again, not affiliate marketing.

How about Leke? Founder of Voguepay - an award-winning Fintech platform. if you don't know, Leke is a member of this forum.

There are others that are social media influencers having hundreds of thousands of social media followers. They rake in good cash. An example is my friend Ushebebe.

Stagger here on Nairaland has landed properties and massive agricultural investments - benefits of being an online freelance writer.

Abiola and co who are the founders of Paystack recently raised $1.3 million funding to expand their business. Note that paystack is a payment processing platform (Fintech) which I and a lot of other service providers make use of. This is not affiliate marketing.

Personally, I have a CV writing platform that gives me a CONSISTENT monthly income and averages a million naira annually (aside from my other online ventures). Am not an affiliate marketer.

Affiliate marketing is cool, but the best bet is to offer a service online and get folks to patronize you. Get your marketing plan right with the target of scaling and you are made.

Finally, the real folks who make real money online don't have time to troll here. Because they are out there making money. Even, the affiliate marketers I know like Victory Akpomedaye, etc really don't have the time to keep convincing people to join them.
