Chelsea will line up in the new white addidas away kit that was launched earlier this summer for the first time today as they face the very best Malaysian football has to offer in form of the Malaysia XI. The whole of Malaysia is abuzz with the arrival of the Blues in the Southeast Asian country for this preseason match. The match will take place at the Shah Alam Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia and the kickoff time is 9.45pm Malaysian time / 2.45pm (UTC + 1). The Europa League champions' match against the Malaysians takes place four days after the lads secured a 1-0 victory over the Singha XI in Thailand in what was the first of three engagements in their preseason tour of Southeast Asia. Today's fixture against the Malaysian All-stars won't be the first time that Chelsea would be playing such a match in Malaysia. It is a replay of an earlier end-of-season match in 2011 which Chelsea won courtesy of a lone goal by club icon, Didier Drogba. They were known then as the Keputusan Malaysia and played with the Blues in front of a capacity crowd of 85,000. Today's match also provides the opportunity for Chelsea fans all over the world to see how far Jose Mourinho has gone with the rejuvenation of the squad. Malaysia XI vs Chelsea will be televised live all over the Middle East (Al Jazeera), North America (GolTV), Southeast Asia (Kompas TV, etc), Brazil, England, France (BeIN Sport 2), Portugal, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria, India, China, Africa (Supersports) and in many other countries. The starting eleven for Chelsea features very few changes from the side that faced the Thailand Eleven on Wednesday. Josh McEachran will likely play in place of Frank Lampard who sustained a minor knock in training. These are some of the Chelsea fans in Malaysia cheering the Blues in training as they prepare for this evening's (Malaysian time) clash with the Malaysia Eleven. Former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has written an open letter expressing his gratitude to the club's directors, players and fans. The Catalan outfit called a press conference on Friday to announce the 44-year-old would be unable to fulfill his duties in a coaching capacity ahead of the season following a relapse of his cancer. And Vilanova, who will now reprise his battle against parotid gland cancer, delivered his heartfelt appreciation after leading Barcelona to their 22nd Liga title during his sole season in charge. "Thank you Barca; thank you everyone," he wrote. "After five wonderful years as part of a team that has made dreams come true as a coach, the time has come to face a change in my professional life and to devote forces to continue the process of the disease that I was diagnosed a year and a half ago. "In the opinion of the doctors and due to the treatment I have to follow, I can't spend the time that a team like Barcelona would require as first coach to do my tasks, but I will keep on working very close to this club I love so much. "It is not easy to leave this very special group of players, fellow staff and friends with whom I shared many memorable experiences. I'll be eternally grateful for everything you have given to me and I have shown. "The human quality and this football team can go through any obstacle and I am convinced that with its skills it will be able to face the challenges of a sports season which should be exciting for everyone. "I also want to especially thank the Chairman, the Board and sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta for the confidence they gave to me and, above all, unconditional support, both sporting and personal. "Equally important to me is the support I received both medically and humanely from Dr. Ramon Canal and his team of doctors who are at my side. I do not play this game alone, I'm a part of a supportive club that will help me succeed in this long process, as it has done until now. "To all of you, members and fans of the club, I also want to thank your samples of support and affection that you had, not just now but over the last few months. I'm quiet, strong and I will face this new stage in the process of my illness with full confidence that everything is gonna be ok. "Thank you to all football fans, colleagues in the profession, clubs, athletes and acquaintances for your messages of encouragement that comforted me and my family. "These are difficult times for me and so I requested the media respect and comprehension. Once I stopped being the coach of the club, I hope to have the tranquility and privacy that me and my family need right now. "I cannot conclude this letter without wishing luck and every success to the new coach of the best team in the world. "Thank you all. "Tito Vilanova." more: http://wearebluesforever..com source: http://goal.com/en-gb/ |
Inter owner Massimo Moratti has astonishingly claimed that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will return to the Serie A outfit in three years' time. The 50-year-old coached Inter for two years after leaving Chelsea in 2007, winning an unprecedented treble in Italy, including the Champions League and back-to-back Serie A titles. And Moratti has revealed during a private telephone conversation between the pair, Mourinho signalled his intent to return to Inter in the future. "I called Mourinho to give him by best wishes on his return to Chelsea," Moratti revealed to La Stampa. "What did Jose say back to me? He told me that in three years we will see each other again at Inter." Mourinho could of course mean he will see Moratti at San Siro in 2016 as they are hoping to host the Champions League final there. Inter finished ninth in Serie A last season before sacking coach Andrea Stramaccioni and replacing him with Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri. more: http://wearebluesforever..com source: http://m.goal.com/x/en/news/4131128 |
Can Tottenham win the Premier League? Do they stand any chance of being crowned the EPL champions by the end of the upcoming season? Find out here as I x-ray their preparations for the upcoming English Premier League season. Two days ago I promised that I would be reviewing a couple of EPL teams that I felt were the top six clubs in contention for the title (Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United) and analyze them in readiness for the new league season which is exactly four Saturdays away today. Today in this series I will review Spurs and predict where they are likely to end up next season if statistics from the past three seasons and the current preseason are anything to go by. http://wearebluesforever..com/2013/07/countdown-to-epl-2-tottenham-hotspur-in.html |

I created this blog three days ago and I have been doing by best to make it stlyish and attractive to visitors. I have big plans for it, even though the traffic has not started coming I have high hopes that they will eventually come when the time is right. I'm not a novice when it comes to blogging and I'm not an expert either. Guys and ladies in the land, please review it and give your humble opinion. Your comments are highly welcome. Thanks in advance. http://wearebluesforever..com |

texaco1: I don't see moyes completing his contract before been sacked ,he has started on a wrong footing. Van persie was able to score so many goals due to his partnership with rooneytrue talk. Moyes won't last long at old trafford. The only real threat chelsea has dis season is Manchester City cos Pellegrini is a no nonsense professional coach |
lol, but Man Utd with Moyes is not a threat to us. hahaha |
gud development |
Feel sad 4 him and I'm scared. Cancer! |
Tito Vilanova is set to leave Barcelona on health grounds with immediate effect, Goal understands. Vilanova is believed to have suffered a relapse of his cancer and his departure will be announced at a press conference later on Friday. Tito worked as an assistant to Pep Guardiola at Barca B and then for four successful seasons between 2008 and 2012, before stepping up to replace his long-time friend last summer. Vilanova led Barca to La Liga in his sole season in charge as the Catalans equalled Real Madrid's record of 100 points in the Primera Division, but he was absent for two months of the campaign after suffering a relapse. Tito appeared tired and haggard as he appeared before the media earlier this week and will now take time out to recover once again, although sources at the club have not ruled out a return in future. In the meantime, Jordi Roura and former Girona coach Rubi (who was appointed at the beginning of this month) are likely to take over the reins, although Barca will study the possibility of appointing a top-level trainer over the next few weeks. The press conference is scheduled for 20:30 CET. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/3277/la-liga/2013/07/19/4129287/barcelona-to-announce-vilanova-exit?ICID=HP_HN_1 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23376453 |
1. Chelsea is the first - and so far the only - London club to have won the UEFA Champions League. This was a feat it achieved by beating Bayern Munich on their home turf in May, 2012. The match ended 4-3 on penalties in favour of the Blues after 120 minutes of exhilarating attacking football proved indecisive. 2. Chelsea is one of only four clubs in European football history to have won all 3 major trophies in the continent: the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1971 and 1998, the UEFA Champions League in 2012, and the Europa League in 2013. The only other clubs to have achieved this feat are Juventus, Ajax and Bayern Munich. 3. The Blues are the only club in the history of European football to hold its two major trophies at the same time: the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League. We achieved this by beating Benfica 2-1 at the Amsterdam Arena (home to Ajax FC) courtesy of a last-minute goal by defender, Branislav Ivanovic. This record, though, lasted for just 10 days, from 15 May, 2013 to 25 May, 2013. 4. We hold the record for the highest number of goals scored in an English Premier League season with 103 goals in the 2009/2010 season. 5. Chelsea is the club that has accumulated the most number of points in an English Premier League season with 95 points in the 2004-2005 season. 6. We are also the club that ended up with the highest goals difference in the English topflight. That was + 71 in the 2009-2010 season; the season we also won our first English double (the EPL and the FA Cup) under the guidance of current Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti. 7. In the 2004-2005 season - Jose Mourinho's debut season - we also ended up with the meanest defence in Premier League history, shipping in just 15 goals over the course of a 38-game season. 8. When Chelsea walloped Aston Villa 8-0 at Stamford Bridge on 23 December....... Source: http://wearebluesforever..com/2013/07/intriguing-facts-about-chelsea-you.html |
