Guys, pls stop calling each other names. angry Only facts clarifies the situation. First of all, assembling is the first stage of having automotive industry. India, China and even Japan started that way. In Africa, there is Egypt, South Africa, Morocco and perhaps two or three other African countries that assemble automobiles. Countries like Egypt and South Africa started assembling for at least 3 or 4 decades, and still don’t have their own brands nor manufacture more than 60% of the car.
Automotive industry rises up on a wide range of what is so called feeding industries, such as; Iron/ steel, electronics, battery, glass, tires, cloth, filters… etc, regardless the Chases and mechanical parts.
So, does Nigeria have any of those feeding industries? Definitely not, in fact many industries are dieing or already buried because of smuggling and insufficient and non-supportive environment for investments.
So, definitely this IVM is assembled. Is assembling good or bad? Sure it is good, however assembling of what brand, what name are behind. Like Nissan, BMW, Mercedes and others assemble in Egypt but under full and direct supervision of Nissan Japan, Mercedes, BMW German and the same with VolksWagen in South Africa.
So the question here, who is standing and supporting the IVM? Is it only an unkown Chinese factory. There is good Chinese cars like Cherry, which makes many models and will be sold in different countries as if each model is a brand itself.
Before praising or undervalue the manufacturers of IVM, we need to know more facts.

Some people are very stupid
Does general motors make all the parts they use in their vehicles?
Is there a computer manufacturing comapany that makes all the parts in that computer or do alligator shoe manufacturers breed the alligators, kill, skin and dry their hide then turn them into shoes?
The way some people reason, you wonder if they even passed the first school leaving cerificate.

Or is it because the products are not made by your state or your tribe since this is what many of these people really want to say.
Bunch of low self esteem nincompoops
His brand is his
Even if he paid companies abroad to manufacture his parts, that is called outsourcing,it is an indigenous Nigerians made product not made anywhere else
mention one component in that car that is fabricated in Nigeria?
just one part and i will give you N100,000.00

PoliticsRe: Why Not Build Refineries Before Deregulation? by DatNiggaAk(op): 5:10pm On Nov 04, 2009
babapupa:
Is Nigeria Venezuela? Do we have the same value system, civil service culture and sense of patriotism?

Are you suggesting another four dead state refineries to add to the four dead state refineries littered around the country?

build the refineries first then start a ppp with it.
the management team can be from operators of the downstream sector.
PoliticsRe: Why Not Build Refineries Before Deregulation? by DatNiggaAk(op): 4:22pm On Nov 04, 2009
seyenko:
Nature abhor a vacuum, the same analogy applies - the deregulation process will force the domestication of petroleum production instead of the current trend to import because the framework for deregulation does not involve government as a player. The private sector participants will have to meet the supply end of the demand domestically

they won't build refineries, they would still import because it is brings in more profit for them with less capital invested
PoliticsRe: Why Not Build Refineries Before Deregulation? by DatNiggaAk(op): 4:17pm On Nov 04, 2009
nnpc shamelessly advertises on tv supporting deregulation by saying one of the benefits is the construction of larger storage facilities for imported petroleum, WTF!!

babapupa:
Federal gov' need to stay out of the refinery business, that' what's killing us.

IF Venezuela can sustain 19 state run refineries, WTF are you talking about that, thats whats killing us?
PoliticsWhy Not Build Refineries Before Deregulation? by DatNiggaAk(op): 3:45pm On Nov 04, 2009
when a country like Venezuela has 19 state run refineries. we don't have any and the govt wants to deregulate?
how much does it take to construct a refinery?
is there a conspiracy by our rulers to keep importing petrol etc and not build a refinery?
why cant all the Niger delta states each build a refinery to generate revenue and employment for their states?

I am talking from experience in terms of Insurance. I have seen the good, bad and ugly faces of insurance in this country. I have trekked before for months to get a claim from an insurance company to no avail before, several times,

However, now i have great rest of mind. The last time I faced an incidence like this i received my money back so choose your insurance wisely and go to sleep, let them bother to buy the tracker to fix in your car not you spending the money to do it.

Some good insurnace companies in this country include: Guaranty Trust Assurance (where i currently have my car, home and some investment), AIICO where I currently have my wife's car and our life insurance, there is Cornerstone, Custodian and Allied, Zenith, Wapic and so on, these will not fail you, they have not failed me, transfer your risk and have rest of mind,

you have life insurancehuh
don't mess with other gals behind ur wifeys back if not she will poison you and cash in ur insurance,

Nairaland GeneralRe: What Are Your Views On Homosexuality? by DatNiggaAk(m): 1:00pm On Nov 02, 2009
LIKE I SAID ON THE FIRST PAGE, homosexuality = pedophilia = bestiality
A common defense used by them is that they were born that way.
people who rape small kids and animals can equally say that.
i am totally homophobic and i love it that way.

why do you always smell shit when a gay man is in the vicinity?
and they tell you its natural to be gay?

Nairaland GeneralRe: What Are Your Views On Homosexuality? by DatNiggaAk(m): 1:34pm On Oct 30, 2009
IF HOMOSEXUALITY IS OKAY, then beastiality and pedophilia are both okay.
afterall they are all deviant sexual behavior.
