Politics › Re: Reps Reject Forensic Audit Bill, Say CIFIAN Replicates ICAN, ANAN by datola: 7:25am On Apr 17, 2019
The reps this time around did well by rejecting the bill. The promoters are just looking for relevance.

Auditing, forensic or not and taxation are all under accounting practice.

Congratulations to Jumia, once rated among 50 smartest start up company in the world by MIT.

Jumia, started in Lagos by Tunde and Afeodo but now headquartered in Germany and Dubai with top executives in France and development team in another part of Europe.

The company was able to overcome a lot of Nigerian factors that has beleaguered smaller rival Konga.

Jumia controlls over 70% Nigeria's e-commerce market share.

I wish Konga will find its feet by reclaiming pre acquisition market share and values.

Politics › Re: 84-Year-Old Sylvanus Nsofor, Ambassador To US Asked To Retire By Nigerians by datola: 5:55pm On Apr 13, 2019
The man who's claimed to be poor but a man of integrity, earned notoriety during his membership of the Appeal Court panel that decided the election tussle between Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), and Olusegun Obasanjo, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was declared winner of the 2003 presidential election.

Of the three justices on the panel, he alone did not endorse the final judgement upholding Obasanjo’s victory.

Glaring nepotism on the part of Buhari.

What a disgrace to Nigeria!

Politics › Re: Projects: Despite Disappointment, Ambode Determined To Finish Strong by datola:
Useless projects everywhere.

The irom casting called Oshodi interchange is not necessary as filling all the.potholes on virtually all Lagos roads.

The bus stop contructions at TBS, Oyinbo, Yaba, Ikeja, etc have not solved any problem rather, created haven for destitute persons to live

How can you solve transport problem by abandoning rail project by Fashola to importing small buses in a mega city

He scored poorly in waste management with his importation of a visionless Dubai company to pack waste instead of the former system that was working.

You don't change a winning team to prove you have a big head.

Major Ambide's achievement is some roads, lay-bys and fly over construction and restriction of the activities of Road safety and VIO on Lagos raids

The man is local and mediocre in thinking.

There is supposed to be a law that states that any kidnapper or arm robber caught and found guilty should be taken to his home/town, disgraced in the presence of his family, his name and where comes from published verywhere.

The measure will reduce crime in no time.

Politics › Re: 2023: Power Shift To South ‘Non-Negotiable’ - APC Secretary by datola: 12:53pm On Apr 07, 2019
Therefore, according to FFK, Osunbajo, Tinubu and Osiomole are no longer slaves to the North because of personal opinions of few Northerners.

I pity the South Easterners because they will most likely not have a say except playing the second fiddle by supporting another Fulani man like Atiku to spite their percieved Yoruba enemy/competitor.

The illiterate North is politically intelligent while the so called educated South is politically naive.

Except the British come back to redress the mistakes of 1914, Nigeria might never work.

Politics › Re: Senate President, Saraki Meet Prime Minister Of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah - Photos by datola: 10:26am On Apr 07, 2019
Saraki should use the remaining weeks of his maladministration to visit irrelevant people.

Saraki because of his greed refused to allow completion of Lagos Ibadan expressway, Lagos-Sango-Abeokuta road by witholding budgetary allocations for them.

Some morons who support characters like Saraki cannot use their heads to think about hundreds of lives lost on those roads.

Crime › Re: Will Ending SARS Stop The Killings? by datola:
SARS initial purpose was/is to hit dare devil arm robbers. they are not supposed to be known ( that's why they were not wearing uniforms), stop and search or investigate.

In addition to good points raised by the Op, SARS should be made to carry out their main and only purpose to hit dare devil arm robbers/kidnappers/criminals, etc.

Call for its end is the same as calling for scrapping of the whole security apparatus in Nigeria, knowing fully when that the difference between/among them (military, police, customs, civil defence, etc) is the difference between 6 and 7 or difference between APC and PDP.
