Just like you said Fintiba ask me to get the letter from the embassy,I mailed the embassy and they said I have to apply.....just like you said I should do,I sent a mail to Fintiba with contains the embassy email and phone number,the embassy replied and said they have contacted the embassy and waiting for reply.

Please I want to ask if Fintiba also sent such mail to you and I want to know if you think everything is on track.

Yes u are on the right track...but in that mail fintiba sent to you..didn't they ask u to Confirm if the your bank account is still active? Cos in my case they asked me to wait for embassy reply and also asked me to confirm if my account is still active..

Its not this one....just type fintiba contact form on your browser, it will lead u there. Yes u should select account closure.. Then on the column for message u write a brief letter on account refund... Is not finbot..the fintiba contact form is there..just goggle it

Helo brother... If u want to get ur money back from fintiba, its very simple if u follow the way I did mine and my money reflected in my account within 2 weeks...I didn't book any appointment, didn't even go to lagos, I did all that from the comfort of my home...
Step 1 write to fintiba through the contact form on their website that u want to unblock ur money..provide them with ur passport number and also a scan copy of the blocking confirmation

Step 2 they will reply u after few days that u need a later from the embassy that visa was not issued...then write to the embassy through their mail that u need a written confirmation for unblocking

Step3 Embassy might not reply u but in my case they replied that I should book an appointment on the consular matters...pls ignore the message..just write back to fintiba that embassy wants them to directly contact them....in that ur mail to fintiba make sure u include embassy phone numbers and email address

Step 4 After few days fintiba will ask u to confirm if the account u used in sending the money is still active...once u confirm that u receive another message from fintiba to give them 3weeks to send the cash back...in my own case it was 2 weeks before the money reflected.

Please if you are worried and confused about the category you belong to kindly email the German embassy either A or B.

Why the email when everything is clearly spelt out on their website...anybody that is confused is either not telling himself the truth or the person want to try his luck..

Bros to be sincere with u the admission is not a scholarship, go back to ur appointment letter and read the scholarship part that qualify a student for category A it reads "holding a scholarship financed from a German public fund".. Did u meet this criteria? Truth is bitter but we must say it..and why they gave u a December date is because u tick that scholarship box on cat A application as German embassy doesn't joke with scholarship students.
But if I were in ur shoes I won't cancel, I will honour the interview and the worst case is being turned back..and u will come back and book cat B.. That's my suggestion..

I have booked and booked deferred my admission over and over. So I went through that BSBI letter and saw a 2000Euro discount.

According to what I researched a discount is smhw a scholarship.

So I booked under cat A and got a date.

Mr coldie..u can go back to part 6 and part 5 of this thread and read interview transcript of scholarship students.. They don't go with block accounts, interview questions are waived and they don't pay visa fees..its as simple as that..

Pls Mr coldie, go back to my post history and put ur facts right..I was responding to a question on cat B date which someone said here sometime ago "that his friend booked cat B and got a date of Jan 10 on October 31..pls read well before pointing fingers here.
Concerning The scholarship issue, except u are new here, everybody knows here that once u have a scholarship u don't need a block account.. It's even written on the German embassy website that scholarship, block account and sponsorship letter are the three means of funding.

If u are admitted to BSBI and u still need a block account.. That means my brother u are not on any scholarship.. take that to the bank..

How can this be? Please discount is not scholarship, scholarship here means that the German organization giving u the scholarship will take care of your living expenses, and u no longer need a block account cos of the scholarship..

Bros stop going back and forth on this my first answer is clear hear it again join the HND to bsc for admission since U did direct entry .
Then for interview go with you bsc certificate which is enough to qualify you for cat A .

Pls I want to understand something here, is it that all bsc issued after 1 january 2017 qualify for cat A? from this advice u didn't specify the grade of bsc (2.1 and 1st class) as stated on their embassy website...or has anything changed? Pls do let me know asap..

@nnamdi, I am looking at a business degree that is a free tuition, checked through daad its only a school in Berlin I see that offers that and they require English test.. If there is any u know that is not in daad, help me with that...applying for a school that charges tuition fee won't be easy with this 10236euro blocking before interview.. My brother I swear it won't be easy for #datonitshaboy

Some schools will be opening their application portals for Summer entry today.

For those looking towards a Business degree, check out Hochschule Reutlingen. Application starts today and ends on the 15th of October.

You just have to scan copies of your documents to them, while they send to Konstanz for assessment. Also, they accept EPL.

Finally, Summer is here!

This school charges 1500euro per semester.. Do u have free tuition schools this summer? You can help out free tuition schools cos I have searched and am not seeing them.
