kanyebaba1:True talk. Unfortunately, many take pleasure in ignorance. Lol |
VULCAN:Check YouTube & get some info frm Iweala, PDP's min of Finance 4 d reason why Nigeria went into a recession. Also know that data sourced frm Worldatlas/Bloomberg/IMF shows that only 3 out of 20 ( USA, Kuwait, Iran) oil rich countries didn't go into or were not on d brink of recession in 2015. Nigeria dodged a bullet by rejecting PDP & voting in PMB. Happenings in Venezuela could've been child's play to what could hav happened here. Ask urself why in 2015, many decades later & inspite of d most vicious attacks, Nigerians who knew our history, clamoured 4 & ensured PMB's victory at d polls to once again come & clear d rot of PDP's 16yrs. d reason is because he had done it b4. Sit down wit knowledgeable elders or research d history of our nation under d NPN, d looting ancestor of d present PDP, u'll hav an idea of what might hav happened. Just like GEJ, Shagari was unable to control his partymen who went on a looting spree, bankrupted d nation & unleashed on it, d greatest recession in our history. Unfortunately, when Shagari ran 4 re-election, d opposition parties were fragmented & could not dethrone d ruling NPN. Shagari won a 2nd term & all hell was let loose. Rather than d ruling NPN to change its ways in Shagari's 2nd term, they continued wit d looting. Awolowo sounded several notes of warnings of what was to befall d nation if d NPN did not change their ways, but NPN stalwarts like Chuba Okadigbo called him a "Prophet of doom". d NPN bankrupted d nation to d extent dat no one would borrow d heavily indebted Nigeria any more money. There was no food, no money. Soap, milk, sugar etc popularly called essential commodities disappeared from d shelves just like in Venezuela. For d 1st time in Nigerian history, d Fed govt could not pay staff salaries. Few states were able to apply d IMO FORMULA - (half salary) pioneered by Kalu Idika Kalu, d then Imo state comm 4 finance. Multinationals like kingsway, UTC, PZ etc left d country. Daily, more & more people became unemployed. In short d economy collapsed. When then General Buhari's corrective govt took over, he paid a huge part of d external debt incurred by d thieving politicians, d rest of which OBJ paid not too long ago. He rejected d IMF loan & its slavish conditionalities. He refused to devalue d naira & thru economic ingenuity, he & his economic team led by Dr Onaolapo Soleye were able to reverse d rot of d Shagari years & made d economy & d country buoyant again. We, who know Nigerian history will not allow d Shagari scenario of voting in known looters to take charge of our treasury ever again.

pafisayo:U ar very correct. I watched Okonjo-Iweala on YouTube saying d reason Nigeria went into recession in 2015 was because under GEJ there was no savings & in her own words "ZERO WILL TO SAVE" unlike 2008 under OBJ when Nigeria escaped d worldwide recession because there was savings to fall back on. PMB has to a large extent, steered us out of recession & there ar ongoing efforts to diversify d economy. d lack of savings & diversification of d economy was largely responsible 4 d recession. These two conditions were also d driving force 4 d sad situation in Venezuela. Their country is in economic chaos as we speak. If PMB wins a 2nd term & gets a more cooperative national assembly he'd perform better. My Uncle told me of how d nation allowed known treasury looters of d then National Party of Nigeria (NPN) back to power wit devastating consequences 4 d country. In this generation, though known treasury looters of d PDP hav apologized, we mustn't repeat that error of allowing them come anywhere near our National treasury ever again. |
Crash is near |
lionshare:Realistically in today's Nigeria, a vote 4 any of d smaller parties is a wasted vote. So u hav APC on one hand & PDP on d other. Pls try & talk to a wider audience. Go talk to over 100,000 families whose breadwinners lost their jobs 13 yrs ago in PDP's privatization scam where national assets were sold off to govt sponsors & cronies in deals that reek of infamy & d workers weren't allowed to enjoy their due entitlements of pension. Meanwhile, OBJ & Atiku hav been receiving their pension payments while denying these senior citizens their own due. 13 yrs after neglect frm PDP govts wit better resources, this administration has thru PTAD started paying them their Pensions. Nigeria has lost those corporations forever & d proceeds frm privatization looted. Go & speak to HND holders working in d paramilitary who have been or ar in d process of being promoted due to d scrapping of d HND/BSC dichotomy. Go & speak to people whose agric business has boomed because of d Anchor borrower scheme. When u watch happenings in countries like Venezuela who behaved d way Nigeria did under GEJ who refused to save 4 d rainy day or diversify d economy, u'll know that wit d bad hand that he was dealt PMB hasn't done badly. He has my vote |
It's over for Sarakill. No one trusts him. He'll soon bcom a political leper to be avoided. d #NotTooYoungToRun guys just got a taste of his cunny ways. He might even lose Kwara in 2019. Outside Ilorin he's not that popular. Kwarans hav been trying to get rid of d Saraki hegemony for a long time. They ar sensing an opening & think that he might be vulnerable because he may not hav d full compliments of his Thugs & tools of political coercion which he had always used. If they don't do it in 2019, I doubt they'd ever hav a better shot. |
Looting machine. It keeps getting better & easier 4 PMB. How can any sane patriot see Saraki, an accursed serial crook who is facing multiple corruption probes worldwide & say "this is an acceptable person to lead Nigeria". For now, everything seems okay. In 2019 his corrupt hegemony will hit an iceberg & sink to d depths of historical significance, where it will remain a dark reminder of Saraki's ultimately self destructive strategy of extreme treachery combined with conscienceless betrayal. d curse is at work. Bukola Saraki will not win even Kwara in 2019.

True talk, Mr President. National security supersedes everything else. Though civil liberties & national security is a balancing act, national security must always come first. |
Crap from Wailers again. How is it anybody's fault dat ndigbo continues to choose bigotry over d national interest? In 2015, realizing dat there was a need to save Nigeria frm d grip of endemic corruption, entreaties were made to all political parties & men of goodwill to join hands in a grand alliance to form a major opposition to d PDP. Unfortunately there was a problem - while other tribes will in d national interest, withdraw their support frm even theirs if cited for corruption, wrongdoing or incompetence, ndigbo chose to support even barefaced crimininalty as far as it was perpetrated by an igbo or as in d case in 2015 an Azikiwe whom they saw as theirs. They made it clear that their choice was to go on wit d monumental corruption dat was GEJ & d PDP. d few igbo dat knew dat CPC, AC, APGA & other regional parties could not save nigeria & opted to join dis national movement to save Nigeria received all sorts of opposition & oppobrium frm some shortsighted bigots. At d end of d day sycophancy to d PDP has proven to be shortsighted & they ar now crying foul instead of changing their ways. . |
Butterflyleo:So many good things are happening but d information department of government is not highlighting them. Citizens who lost their jobs but denied pension in PDP's privatization scam where national assets were sold off to govt sponsors & cronies in deals dat reek of infamy hav either been payrolled or in d process of being payrolled by PTAD to receive monthly Pensions after 13 years of wickedness where OBJ & Atiku received pension but denied these senior citizens their pension. Imagine receiving pension after 13 years of neglect by successive PDP govts. God bless PMB. |
grandstar:It will continue to be like that. Many Nigerians have wisened up to their antics. d real disgrace is that d market is being manipulated & controlled by a few money bags. Cases of insider-trading, creation of false markets & share manipulations ar rampant. d Dangote/Otedola AP share saga easily comes to mind. d books of most listed companies ar cooked & do not reflect d reality of their operations. Even those on d verge of bankruptcy post fictitious gains in their annual reports. Once beaten, twice shy |
It's about time. Every time I go on that guy's page I always suspect that FFK must be taking some strong stuff. Twice, I tried to caution d garrulous nuisance about spreading hate speach but d thin-skinned hypocrite who criticizes people wit every of his tweet blocked me both times because he couldn't handle d truth. US hunted down & killed its own citizen, Anwar Al-awlaki for d offence of radicalizing people on d internet. |
Happy sallah. Sallah or no sallah, I can't relent. Every day, every time it's Sai Baba |
These ar my G's. Happy sallah & God bless them all. Long live the Hero of democracy, Senator Bola Ahmed Akanbi Tinubu. The Chief King Maker. The Ijaya of Politics. EKO himself. Asiwaju gbogbo nkan. Jagaban of Africa. Omo Alhaja Habeebat Mogaji. Oko Senator Oluremi. Baba Iya Afin Afolashade Ojo. Wailers, gallows & ropes for hire, apply within.

Can't we just shut this parliament for good?. It's just such a waste. Western powers deceived Africa into this democracy thing. It's not working. It has merely chained most African countries to d ground, with no development. |
d world is still celebrating d life of Kofi Annan. When Abdulfattah Ahmed & Senate President Saraki's hegemony in Kwara state are gone, what will they say of them?. How will they tell their story?. Will Nigerians remember them as d leaders who helped to wipe out poverty in Kwara state?. Will Kwarans remember them 4 building homes & roads & hospitals & wiping out hunger?. Will SGBN depositors who trusted Saraki wit their funds see him as d man who made life easier 4 them or as d man who compounded their economic woes?. When they talk of d Panama papers & they ar asked "did Bukola Saraki live a good life?", what will d answer be?. When they ask did Saraki's hegemony bring about development or did it chain Kwara state to d ground turning it into a glorified IDP poverty camp, what will d answer be? |

Annan R. I. P sir. This is a great loss, any way u look at it. Annan was a good man & a true role model for many. He came to head d UN at one of its most trying periods & did a good job. |
PDP looters determined to do whatever it takes to stop PMB, d AU anti-corruption champion & nemesis of d corrupt PDP who have been rejected by d Nigerian people. PDP has apologized for looting d treasury but d Nigerian people hav neither forgotten nor forgiving them 4 d unprecedented rape of our treasury. They've started regrouping like a plague of locusts on a field of grain to devour Nigeria totally this time around. Kolewerk! PMB till 2023 |
Mtchew! This anarchist brown-envelope journalists hav caused a lot of havoc in this nation. Though they later apologized, not too long ago, this same media outlet published fake news about killings which had d potential of leading to reprisal attacks. How can any sane individual, let alone a journalist think it's ok to publish without authorization, sensitive correspondence between our Ag President & d IGP at this trying times. Though he's out on bail, I think it's too lenient. d courts need to start handing issues of national security wit d sternness that it deserves. . |
Chai! Guy man, d Otobolizer himself. Keep on rocking jor! |
kahal29:Smh. These characters ar d ones that led Jonathan astray. They've go on to another unprincipled crook & loser who stands 4 nothing, jumping frm party to party. Atiku's desperate ideology of d end justifies d means is nothing to be proud of. He won't be President. Make hin visit America nah. Mtchew!
|
bedspread:Relate wit Kwarans & u'll know that things might change. They've been trying for a long time but Saraki's tools of political coercion was too powerful for them to overcome. They think he's vulnerable now & will giv it their best shot. He's not as popular outside Ilorin |
tbarrister:d people know that it's now or never. They hav tried in d past but couldn't rid themselves of d yoke because of Saraki's political Thugs. He is most vulnerable now & they hope to seize d moment. I hear frm people on ground in Kwara. I wish them luck |
bedspread:Saraki will not win even Kwara state. Kwarans are tired of his corrupt hegemony that has chained their state to d ground & turned it into a glorified IDP poverty camp. They will do more than stone him as they recently did at d mosque, they will reject everything he represents at d polls in 2019. |
. |
This is mostly true. It is d same misguided nonentities who ar celebrating a Crook whose people stoned him recently while leaving d mosque in a spontaneous show of rejection for looting their state & turning it into a glorified IDP poverty camp. They will wail even more in this coming election. No sane patriotic Nigerian will allow PDP goats anywhere near our National Yam ever again. Now, that d custodian of all PDP/CUPP plots has defected to d APC, it can only get better. He has started d patriotic duty of unmasking PDP moles in this govt. Daura is gone. Other moles will be unmasked. Because of Saraki, PDP might even lose Kwara. Kwarans ar tired of d Saraki oligarchy & they know they'd never hav a better time than now. I hope they succeed. Why can't d f*ol emulate leaders who wrote their names in gold by transforming their states. Lagos is today, d 4th largest economy in Africa because of visionary leadership. Meanwhile d Seychelles hav announced that they ar looking into Saraki's financial dealings. Also, d UK cited him just this week that it's investigating undeclared properties worth about 15M euro linked to him. Oshiomole is right to a great extent. |
Chai! What a massive political goal scored by APC. d custodian of all CUPP's plot against d ruling party has crossed over. dis is unbelievable. It could truly be game over. No wonder PDP is in pains.
|
Good one. d custodian of all CUPP plots has defected. Now, I'm in even greater awe of APC's political sagacity. This is no mean feat. This is political uppercut. d opposition is in disarray, beaten to their own game. It could be game over.

tinktanker:Stop defending corrupt individuals. At least PMB is going after corrupt people & making recoveries. Say anything u want, whenever his govt leaves they should go after them & make recoveries too nah. d Seychelles are looking into Saraki's financial improprieties too. Dat one too na Buhari witch-hunt abi? https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/273330-exclusive-seychelles-begins-probe-of-saraki-wife-for-alleged-money-laundering.html |
midolian:The Seychelles too are after him. Abi dat one na Buhari witch-hunt too? https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/273330-exclusive-seychelles-begins-probe-of-saraki-wife-for-alleged-money-laundering.html |
