@justwise fanks for your earlier response. I have sent the school the documents relation to my lost passport issue though I haven't heard anything from them yet. Another problem I am facing is this ** I intend to put the money into my account next week Monday, August 9 but 28 days would mean that I can only apply to the embassy Monday 6th of September. However my school resumes on the 11th of September, now if I tell the school to grant me 2weeks grace, can the embassy refuse me a visa based on the fact that my school has resumed earlier? OR on the other alternative, my old man just fixed 2mil into an acct in his name, though the whole money I need is 2.8mil. Can I add an extra 1 mil into the account? If I can, would I have to start counting 28days from the day the 1 mil was fixed? Thanks for your help so far!!

I have gotten my CAS via email but i have a problem with some issues

1. When i applied for my admission, i was asked to input my passport number which i did but the issue is the passport got missing and i had to request for a reissue from the Nigerian Immigration which was done. so i have a new passport with a different passport number.

However when i got the CAS letter, the passport number on it was that of the lost passport, now i am confused on what to do.

Should i send the school an email with my new passport bio data page, the receipt and affidavit sworn at the court in respect of the stolen passport and request for a new CAS letter or should i ignore it and send these details to the UK embassy along with other documents when applying for the visa.

2. I said earlier i was going to use my dads account and i think it expected to sent in my birth certificate and a notorized letter stating our father - son relationship & stating that i am allowed to use the account.

The issue is one of the account is a fixed deposit account of 2mil while he runs a seperate salary account. Can i use both account cause judging by the amount needed 6000 (balance of tuition fee) & 5400 (living expenses) - which is 2.7mil?

3. do i need to send in original copies of all the documents needed or would photocopies be okay?

Good morning. I would your advice as regard my intending uk study visa application. I got an unconditional offer to study a masters program @ birmingham city university. I paid the required deposit last week and I would like to ask a few questions

1. Hw many days/weeks does it take to be issued d CAS letter? 2. Do I get it via mail or can it be sent to me via email?

3. I intend to use my dads account n I want to know if we have to wait for 28days or we can apply straight away being that it's his normal account?

4. After paying a 3000pnds deposit, hw much do we need to have in d bank account before applying for the visa?

2. I read it in another forum that the Application fee has to be issued via a bank draft in Canadian Dollar currency. Have tried getting that in some banks where i reside but they don't have it. Is there another way i can pay or how do i go about that? How much is the Application fee itself?

I would like to make inquiries as regards Canadian Visa Appliation

I am a grad from a Nigerian Uni since 2006, haven't gotten a job though i did some IT certifications around 2008 (MCSA) to be precise. I am currently 26 years and got admission to study Applied Computer Science in Manitoba. I was granted a 2 years (60 unit) credit transfer based on my previous undergrad studies here in Nigeria.

I am willing to apply to the Canadian embassy in a couple of days and would like some full information from you guys around here. I do appreciate all your responses.

1. What are the actual documentations that are required at the embassy?

A check at http://www.canadainternational(dot)gc(dot)ca/nigeria/ only brought up a) application form b) bank statement c) Acceptance Letter from the Uni d) International Passport but upon going through this thread i found out that one would need a return envelope & police report. Kindly post up a checklist of what i might require to submit. How do i get the police report?

2. As regards my financial documents, my dad would be my sole sponsor. The whole 1 year expenses is roughly $26,000CAD which is like 3.7mil naira. My issue is that my pop recently opened a fixed deposit account (2 months old) of 4mil which he plans to use for my financial expenses. He had to sell one of his landed property to be able to raise that sum. He is working and has a active account which is separate from the fixed deposit account. He also has a 80% developed house which he is currently working on completing it. Would i need to submit both account statement? Do i need a letter from him indicating that the fund in the fixed deposit account is strictly for my finances? What are the chances of using the 80% completed house as a proof of ties of coming back to the country?

3. Another issue is that i read biology at undergrad level, now i was accepted for an Applied Computer Science course also an undergrad level, would it be a factor? Have it in mind that i did an IT degree to enhance my chances of computer knowledge. Do i need to submit originals of my microsoft certifications? Do i also need to include a letter indicating why i choosed computer science instead of chemistry?

4. Well i don't know for sure but below is the list of document i plan sending in with my application.

a. Official Letter Of Acceptance from The Univeristy.

b. Official Undergrad Transcript from my previous Univeristy.

c. Birth Certificate.

d. WAEC Certificate & a Scratch Card for online verification.

e. Letter stating my choice of computer science & not biology.

f. Letter from sponsor confirming responsibility of the fees for the entire duration.

g. Statement of account from Sponsor

h Statement of account from the fixed deposit account

i. Shares of my sponsor which can be certified via CSCS (hope i got dat rite)


I do hope this is enough requirement but would appreciate if i am given a better guide if to include any of this or omit it. Pease feel free to send me a post on here.
